Budget stand for the MPC Live 2 (Works with other samplers!)

what is up guys and welcome back to the channel in this video i just wanted to talk quickly about the stand that i've been using for my mpc live 2. now i've already noticed that a few of you are commenting about this and i want to say a shout out to i am site on his channel he did a run down of a few stands i didn't manage to get the exact one that he mentioned on his video because he lives in the us and i couldn't get the exact one but i got an equivalent from the uk so pick this up from amazon and it's quite interesting actually because i originally did a search for an npc stand and specific stands were coming up which were about 40 50 quid which is about 60 70 dollars i think roughly speaking or to be honest probably in the us they're probably like 45 they're probably the same price in dollars anyway so maybe a little bit cheaper for you guys but to me that seemed very excessive i didn't want to spend that much so that's why i ended up getting this one which is actually just a stand that's for laptops so let me go ahead and get rid of the npc so you can actually see what's going on underneath so as you can see here it's a very basic construction this one's pretty cool because it actually folds right down and let me just do this for you guys so you can see so it falls right down to this size and what's quite convenient about that is the fact that the mpc live 2 is obviously quite a portable machine so you can run it off the battery so if you want to be out and about and you need to take a stand with you this is obviously going to fit in your bag quite easily as well so there's rubber on the front there's rubber down on these two bits as well and it's got rubber feet too now there is a lot of plastic on this the legs at the back are actually plastic but luckily they do seem to be strong enough i've been finger drumming as you've seen from our videos and making beats with this for a few days now and it's holding up really nicely i always tend to kind of hold the side of my npc when i'm hitting the pads anyway so that little bit of extra support is pretty good i really cannot complain about this for the price this was eight pounds off amazon and there you go it just folds out like that and clicks into place and the mpc live sits perfectly on it so there's lots of different heights you can set this up i think that's probably way too steep i actually just have this on the furthest back setting that seems to be like a really nice comfortable angle for finger drumming one of the good things about this stand as well this particular one that i've got which i will link to below in the description can't remember if i've already mentioned that or not is that the sp fits on it quite nicely as well so as you know obviously i've used this device a lot over the last few years and it's nice to have a stand that will work for both the npc and for this and here you can see i'm hitting those pads pretty hard and the stand's not really moving anywhere another bonus obviously is you can also use this for its intended purpose which is a laptop stand so if you're in a laptop you can also use it for a laptop stand as well which is what it's actually designed to do so like i mentioned shout out to imsight for the recommendation of getting a laptop stand i didn't actually think about that before seeing his video so thanks for that and yeah go over and check out his channel he's got loads of good npc live two content so i'll link to that below and you can go and check out his channel that's it for this one guys just a quick one to mention that stand as i've already seen a little bit of interest for it in the comments nice and cheap hopefully in the us you can find an equivalent i will find one on amazon.com and link that below as well hopefully it's not so much more expensive but yeah this is doing a really good job it's exactly what i needed using this flat i didn't really enjoy it it was giving me a lot of neck pain bending over this unit all the time when it's on the desk so it's nice to have it in this position i can sit a lot more comfortably and enjoy using it thanks for watching guys i'll be back with more content this week so don't forget to hit that subscribe button if you're new around here and hit that thumbs up if you enjoyed this content as it helps me in the algorithms as well until next time guys keep making beats and i will be back with more content soon peace [Music] you
