[Music] hi everyone Joe Garth here creator of brushified.io this is the brushify science fiction buildings pack this pack allows you to create epic looking science fiction cities in Unreal Engine 5. this product is designed to save you as much time as possible by giving you a complete ready-made solution the assets and example scenes are optimized to run at above 60 frames per second on mid-range Hardware every asset in the library utilizes trim sheets combined with tiling textures which help to create detail whether up close or far away this technique also saves a lot of GPU memory making sure that everything is as optimized as possible hi everyone in this next part I'm going to break down exactly what's included in the pack and I'm also going to go over some of the more complex features and really show you guys how you can use those in your projects this pack took I think a few months to create and hopefully it's something that's going to save you a lot of time especially if you're working on something like a science fiction game or maybe a movie or something of that nature so hopefully with that in mind let's get started so this is the brushify Sci-Fi pack example scene you can jump to various interesting points of view by pressing the number keys on your keyboard this is just a quick way to see the city from all different angles up close and far away and if we click the Sky Box here we can also change the sun Direction just see the scene from different sort of interesting lighting angles it's also possible to combine this package with something like Ultra Dynamic Sky to get even more interesting effects like volumetric clouds and just be able to tweak the time really easily but how is all of this constructed well to understand that we need to visit something called the asset Zoo and this is a separate level so this is the asset Zoo basically this is a level where all the various geometry and assets are laid out so that we can see them all in one place here you'll find a ton of various building parts and props as well as prefabs for the buildings themselves every building is constructed from several basic parts in a process called kit bashing this makes it possible for you to actually design an infinite number of custom buildings you can take these little pieces almost like Lego and create your own custom designs you can open up each of the buildings in the blueprint editor and just start moving objects around or you could even duplicate the blueprint and make your own completely from scratch so for instance here you can see me just adding a few more sections to extend the skyscraper a little bit upward just by adding a few more kit bash parts these building prefabs are then combined into larger city blocks which can then be easily distributed in the level to quickly build entire cities like the example scene we showed before one really incredible advantage to this way of working is that every blueprint is actually instanced so if you change a single blueprint it will propagate throughout the entire city as you can imagine this is very flexible and can save a ton of time there are also low poly distant skyscrapers included that can be used for Endless backdrops all the way to the Horizon these are really low poly and low resolution so you can pretty much go crazy and scatter them everywhere something that I'm really proud of with this pack is that the vast majority of assets all use the same trim sheet texture a trim sheet is a texture that contains lots of various details in this case things like science fiction style shapes gizmos and panels these are texture mapped onto each object and combined with overlaying tiling textures to create both unique detail and tiling details this technique is used in a lot of modern AAA games because it has a lot of advantages for instance it saves a ton of texture memory while also allowing large-scale assets to maintain a very high resolution assets don't require a dedicated bait texture map and artists have the flexibility to easily be able to place details another feature that's incredibly useful is the brushify master material this is a Shader that's applied to all of the buildings and it's actually used in All brushify City packs this Shader allows for lots of flexibility it gives you the ability to add damage to any object edit texture details and even add things like puddles all right guys I think that's everything from my side for this video hopefully this pack can save you a lot of time and it might even prevent you from having to hire a dedicated environment artist or it can simply make your environment artists lives a lot easier if you find this kind of content interesting feel free to like the video and subscribe to my channel and you'll get more updates like this in the future this is Joe Garth signing off cheers guys
