with their new 88 000 target set the gypsies are using all of last season's profit to cover a repair to their broken excavator so which is here we go i've got 15 grand for it i just hope the price is not going to be any more than that because if it does it's going to put real pressure on the season what's happened his number two ring is broken okay and then he's blown out through here and scored all the blocks at the moment probably what we're looking at is about 20 20 grand it was that bad it was that bad yes when do you reckon she'll be able to take away probably looking at about three weeks give me three weeks to find five grand all right guys all right thank you thank you very very much again the 20 000 repair bill leaves the gypsies 5 000 short with only three weeks to find enough gold to cover the cost when he said that my heart sunk and i'm thinking i just want to cry 14 ounces gone it'll last you already oh that's a huge setback greg and chris have to find five thousand dollars of gold in just three weeks so they can get their excavator out of the workshop no damage to the machine at this rate worry yes the ground's getting harder and harder is covered with a thick layer of calcrete a hardened natural cement found only in arid climates such as the australian outback the sound that bucket's making is really some of the hardest stuff i think this load has it's gold it could be bloody pyrites but it weighs a ton the bit that really interests me the most is this little piece i plucked out of the wall this is a quartz run sitting in the middle of all this i want to take this home and dolly this and i want to see if there's any fine gold in it because these buggers didn't do something down here with dynamite for something to do i can tell you now you bottom floor watch your step hey i'm here right i'd be detecting these court seams the gypsies start detecting the quartz veins sections of the bedrock fractured by tectonic activity it's very really awkward detecting conditions down here i will never again complain about detecting this is called extreme detective it's either that or you're desperate desperate to find a bit of gold you can't get your legs in the right position i don't know really good target up there after two hours detecting in the cramped claustrophobic conditions greg hits a target in the floor of the mine [Music] oh come
