The day pack at 3:15... just seeing him lift that thing makes me want to see a back surgeon.
If you like this you should search out the documentary the old British guy did embedded with a British troop in a remote compound for months .Search for the reporter who completed selection & became the oldest person to do it so he would be allowed to embed with them. I think of it as the British Restrepo
They were stuck in a compound surrounded by IED's & some of the best bomb makers at the time & given really strict ROE's, they had a few KIA/badly wounded to GS/IED's etc & would take fire as soon as they stepped out on patrol sometimes & IED's just outside the compound. They shoot a unarmed guy on a radio near the end convinced he was part of a IED team
This report reminded me of it as it is so similar in style, they were also tasked with keeping a small market open in a village like they had on the mock up at the start.I just think he was awarded a beret when he completed selection, so do not think it was these same troops .
It was years ago when l watched it so memory is hazy but it was one of the best embedded type documentaries l have seen. The guy also wrote a book on doing the selection if that helps the search,it was a few years ago l watched it so stretching the memory bank.
It was bugging me so l searched during break at work.
Here is a link to part of the series time stamped to a bit of action to show the style -I think there are around 10 parts that cover from training to deployed. These guys were left high & dry by the REMF's with minimal air cover & had to fix bayonets a few times. The series draws you in as you follow from training to seasoned door kickers so the end break down of their time/casualties is sobering -

Here found the guy Chris Terrill & this is the documentary -
"In 2007, he documented and participated in the rigorous eight months training with the Royal Marine Commandos after which he followed the newly qualified recruits to the front line in Afghanistan for their first taste of real war.[7][8] Terrill is the only civilian (and, at 55, the oldest person) to complete and pass all four commando tests for which he was awarded an honorary green beret "

All his work is good & worth a watch, much like the Restrepo guys again
Those guys were pretty fuckin sick actually.
"If you're not movin' yer shootin'!" Great drills.
If you had read the description on youtube youd know this is not from a documentary but from a news segment.
