Britain's Finest Fish and Chips? (Murgatroyds, Yeadon Leeds)

okay before we start this video do me a favor and hit that subscribe button doesn't cost you anything and it helps many more of these videos especially on a day like this now in today's video we're gonna go to murgatroyd's to try their fish chips and peas because everybody keeps telling me in the last videos I've done they're amazing so let's go and find out let's go [Music] [Music] laughs you wonder where they got the name Murgatroyd from it was named after Billy Murgatroyd who owned more field Mills and I don't think more field Mills actually stood on the site there where it is now well it's terrible [Music] now murgatroyd's was opened in 1994 and it's written by the Chadwick family and their brothers Andrew and James and the managing director and the daughters also work there as well now I've reviewed the bearded sailor I've reviewed the Wetherby Whaler but the big question is is this gonna level it suppose of them let's find out does it always rain up here in the North right enough of this into the car let's get the murgatroyd's of all of these out ten [Music] by the way the nice day this would be really nice it's heating time which I'm sure all the local people realize a nice place to come off the efficient ship [Music] okay so we've arrived at Murgatroyd and the first thing I've noticed is it's got a huge carpark and it's absolutely packed out and it's a weekday so it must be really really popular okay so there is a restaurant on the side where you can sit down and go indoors and eat or on the left hand side there there's a takeout and there's a nice little seating area as well which I think it's a nice touch on a nice day anyway [Music] [Music] okay now I got a choice of forks the old classic standard chip fault there and the nicer wooden fork anyway let's hook in and mark this out of ten before it goes cold first impressions but is very crispy nice fish hmm the fish is very very tasty and flaky and the butter is very crispy I'll really light about the chips actually look really good but really nice very tasty nice okay for the peas these are nice these are nice the butter on the fish the batter is superb I like these chips the inside tastes really fluffy the outside slightly crispy the inside is very fluffy so I really do like the chips very impressed the peas I'm gonna say I like the bearded sailors peas a lot better these are on a par with the Wetherby whale other peas are [Music] okay so I think it's time to mark these out of ten I'm gonna give it [Music] I'm gonna give it a nine point two out of ten nine point two really nice nine point two so there you go right I'm gonna finish these and I've just noticed by the way there is outdoor seating behind me there that's under a roof but obviously I've decided to sit on that bench that's where rot anyway I'm going to finish these off remember like and subscribe and I'll see in the next one goodbye [Music] [Music]
