there's a young man sitting next to you I don't know if everybody in the room knows him because he's in the very early stages of his career but we need people that are going to carry carry on what what was started before we came along when it was started with the Bob Wills and and the the light crust doughboys and the whole thing in the in the western music the honky-tonk music this young man comes out of out of bluegrass that's his background he's only 22 years old but you've been sitting over grinning like you're really enjoying this this man tell me for those of you that don't know I want to say before we get into anything else hide I want to say that I think I got a bone to pick with whoever set up the chairs and put Moe bandy directly behind me from in line with you because I've almost stepped into being a fool a couple times and speaking up when you weren't talking to me more would be nature there's mow mow Pitney it's just mo mo bandy as mo eat but when you say it you can't hear the ER you can only tell apart when you ride it it's hard to whisper anything yeah exactly what I'm saying is to saw this guys have said the young he grew up in in bluegrass music a lot of gospel music influences and all in his life so our honky tonks something that you're comfortable will have you performed in very many other well you know I think I'm with Darryl Singletary back there with growing up in a Baptist home and I think my mama did real well to keep me out of the honky tonks I'm only 22 so I've really only had one year to really spend a whole lot well have you taken advantage of that one year yeah well I have since I've moved to Nashville I got a story about this song and I'm going to sing the first time I heard it um I was in I took a trip with my dad my dad's a steel guitar player and first time I heard this song I heard Lloyd green play this song oh yeah Scottie's steel guitar convention in st.
