Brides share why they wore their wedding dresses out of the town

yeah I gotta tell you this really does put me in a better mood I wish there was a job where I could wear this all the time maybe someday there will be maybe there will be that scene from Friends That's a classic and it is true that Brides do have more fun just ask the bonan family from Texas did I pronounce that right okay I want to make sure Terry Terry her four daughters two daughters-in-law they went viral for a girls night out on the town and guess what they did they just dressed in white more than five million people watch that on Instagram there were captions that read in part we decided that the most expensive dresses we own deserve to be worn and enjoyed for more than just one day in our lives and they decided to wear their dresses yet again right here in Studio One a Terry Madeleine Alexis annalize Kate Hannah Joy and Sydney good morning good morning folks back to the beginning of this decision so you guys always do a monthly uh dinner all the girls in the family it's the goal to do it monthly which is cool for you so then how did this idea to come up come up to like why don't we just wear our wedding dresses I think Hannah Joy found a reel yeah yes and sent it to our daughter's chat okay and everyone was like yes so we should do it and someone said at our next sister date and that was next week and we're like okay we all found our wedding dresses pulled them out and first of all of them how awesome that first of all you you still had all your wedding dresses Terriers got lost somewhere in the sauce but you showed up for dinner so the reaction must have been super crazy tell me what happened to the restaurant Terry well I mean everyone what's going on did y'all just get married why do you have babies where are your husbands I mean like the questions were endless can we take a picture with you come on yeah did you guys think um Alexis that this would start some crazy viral movement because what happened was I can't believe the number of hits you guys got on this honestly I kind of did I told my husband he's like making dinner and I'm like you just watched it was like it better because you're not helping me make dinner okay okay all right here Alexis when you you or Madeline sorry Madeline when you found your wedding dress um what did it feel like putting it back on because now many of you have children you've kind of gone to a different phase in life it was weird definitely strange putting it on after eight years married and three children but I felt really beautiful and happy by the way you have beautiful babies there are three of them that are just out in the hallway what did your husbands think overall of this idea that you guys were going to come out here and do this yeah I mean it was fun like well gray buttoned me in like the opposite of your wedding night you know what I love about your family first of all the fact that you did this is amazing and insane and I think it's going to be duplicated because the point is is we do wear wedding dresses one time and then it goes into a box and locked up why are we doing that I don't know I mean yeah there's a million reasons we should wear it and celebrate a lot but what I love about what you do Terry is how many children do you have 11. okay yeah I heard gasps you have 11 children I do once a week you have a family dinner correct tell me about because your family's close and doing this cool thing not because it was a one-off it's because you guys spend time together we do like about that um well we just we are our support group so we come together once a week and I'm not cooking for them I mean sometimes they bring things and sometimes I cook you know it just alternates as far as the food goes but the main point is that we are in community with it with each other I can't talk and um we just want our kids and my grandkids to grow up together this is so inspiring will you all just give me a little description of your mom who wants to give a little description and precious yeah I don't know The Peacemaker she's a peacemaker very intentional intentional so fun I don't know well it's always so fun about you but you guys what a beautiful thing you did I think you started a trend and not only that you have great timing you're here on the [Laughter] thank you so so much appreciate you you're a great mom thank you Terry I want you to write a parenting book that'll come later hey thanks for watching don't miss the Today show every weekday at 11 A.M Eastern 8 Pacific on our streaming Channel today all day to watch head to today.com all day or click the link right here
