Good afternoon! Today I want to perform for you an arrangement I've made for guitar over the great song Bohemian Rhapsody by the legendary group QUEEN It's one of my favorite groups It was lead by Freddie Mercury and by the great musicians Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon This song was composed by Freddie Mercury And as the title says, it's kind of a rhapsody I mean, it's a genre composed by some parts which don't have to be related between themselves thematically they don't have to be similar or develop a coherent idea along the piece but they are like musical globs that try to express opposite emotions, or just different they don't have to have a musical storyline although in this case, the lyrics do have it There are multiple theories on the Internet about what this song means but the group never gave a definitive explanation but they let the audience to interpret it to feel it their way like that The theory I love most is the one that understands the lyrics as a death of what Freddie Mercury was before I mean, a more shy and formal man what everybody expected him to be The lyrics talk about if it's reality or fantasy what he's living because he have just killed a man and he's telling his mom and he doesn't know what to do because darkness is killing him and he needs to come out and face the truth I think that's the meaning. He killed what he was before to become a new man to face his reality and love himself as he is actually, and not how others expect him to be It has very opposite and contrasting parts very different among themselves I find it a masterpiece It's one of the most craziest pieces I've played because of the radical changes it has being a rhapsody and one of the most funniest making an arrangement for guitar In my opinion, Freddie Mercury has been one of the better voices of the world It has even been scientifically proven that he had special qualities in his throat which produced a vibrato practically impossible to imitate by anyone because his anatomy was unique to sing I think he was born for music and to accomplish his love for it and with the other musicians in QUEEN they are one of my favorite groups Brian May is incredible The solos he made for this song are extraordinary and I'll never get tired of listening to it So I hope you love my tribute to this fantastic group which many moments in our lives became happier with their songs If you liked it, you can subscribe, like comment and share the YouTube link with your friends.
