In this tutorial, I'll show you how to create this barbed wire mesh. Let's create a curve spiral. If you don't see any menu items that are shown in this tutorial, please activate an Extra Objects add-on. Let's add some turns and increase the height. We need to bevel the curve, and extrude the end points. Let's select and extrude the end points. Press Alt with "S" to scale. Let's create a mesh circle. Please remember to activate the Extra Objects add-on, if you don't see this item in the menu. I'll move and duplicate the circle. Let's add a screw modifier. In Object Mode, press Control "A" to reset all transforms. In Edit Mode, let's move the circles closer to one another. There is our barbed wire mesh. I wanted to smooth the surface, but it seems there's something else in the menu at the top. Let's apply the modifiers. For a curve object, we need to convert the curve to mesh. I'll Shift select them, and Control "J" to join them. Let's move the origin to the 3D cursor, and array the mesh. Please remember to merge them. Let's add a curve point, extrude it, and smooth it. I'll add a curve modifier. We can animate the curve to create a good looking animation. Select any points, and press Control "T" to tilt the curve, so the spikes would rotate. This is the end of the tutorial. Thank you for watching.
