More than 1000 years prior, this organization was founded by Genryuusai Yamamoto, who also was the leader. The first generation of the gotei 13 consist of captain Yamamoto, captain Unohara and 11 other captains. Who was these 11 captains still a mystery, but according to captain Shunshui, this generation was the strongest version ever. First is Genryusai Yamamoto, he is the oldest captain, caption of the first division and also is the captain-commander of the Gotei 13. Along with captain Yamamoto is Yachiru Unohara, who appear bloodthirsty this time. She is the captain of the 11th division, and known as the first Kenpachi. Yoruichi Shihōin is the captain of the 2nd Division and next to her is lieutenant Marenoshin Ōmaeda Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi, aka Rose, became captain of the 3rd Division about 2 years ago from this time and Chikane Iba is the lieutenant.
At the 4th Division, leutenant of captain Unohara Retsu is Seinosuke Yamada. Akon has been promoted to become lieutenant of the 12th Division, next to captain Mayuri. Lieutenant Rukia Kuchiki has been promoted to become the captain of the 13th Divison.
