[Music] [Music] [Music] first time I saw black pearl was actually in a photo sent to me and I couldn't believe my eyes I was very very excited to see a photo of it finally because it's been such a secret project Oh [Music] [Applause] around 50 centimeters to the real Scylla it's pointy it's quite tight [Music] actually Blackpool is not really an experiment he is a real challenge in the art building industry because all what has been put on the drawing board has never been done before [Music] we have a seven meters draught which is the total depth and of this approximately four meters is keel and 80% of the keel is lead the top part is as fuel tanks so we keep all our weight low and when you look at the the size of the vessel compared to the size of the height of the mass the mass are not too high [Music] [Music] basically what when we're sailing and we have a sufficient wind speed and we're generating enough haul speed we can then begin to maneuver the blade slightly so what we call regeneration mode so basically what we can then do is we can then use that energy and consumer move in our electrical switchboard inside the vessel [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] there's about 50 bolts all the way around the outside of the rig which which transfer the torque from the rotation unit into the mass so we can rotate the mast as required to set the to set the angle of the yards for the wheel black Dacron Dacron is not a special cloth that's been around for many years the solar yes solar cells is very very flexible we can easily get the rotation on the sail we'll probably end up if we're lucky at 50% of that with solar cells prediction is that and with the right wind and the right sea we could reach 30 knots and with the regeneration under sail we were predicting that we can do transatlantic s-- no fuel use [Music] this is a one-of-a-kind yacht in the world first one of its kind to be this big this beautiful and performing like it does
