[Music] all right lebron james still facing backlash for his now deleted tweet targeting an ohio police officer filing a police involved shooting so an l.a police officer is inviting the nba superstar to chat writing quote the tweet itself was the embodiment of hatred rooted in a lack of understanding of the danger of the situation the offer is on the table lebron no cameras no fanfare just two men who cared talking this division and hatred must stop he writes meanwhile a fox news poll shows the majority of americans oppose the push to defund police look at those numbers 62 percent opposed 33 percent are in favor here to react fox news contributor and civil rights attorney leo terrell good morning to you leo hello fox and friends how are you we are doing well we're glad to have you on so this letter is beautifully written the officer says he's worked on skid row for decades and he says as a man of faith i have no hatred toward you he just wants to sit down and talk do you think that will happen no and i'll tell you right now ainsley why it won't happen you see there's a there's a a strategy on the left the extreme left white officers kill black people that person who wrote that letter is a black officer lebron's not going to sit there because it destroys their narrative and that's why the law enforcement is racist because white police officers kill black people this is not 1950 and that black police officer destroys lebron the socialist the extreme left narrative he'll never sit down with that guy because of skin color and that's how ridiculous it is you know what's interesting too is he does cite that lebron does a lot of good work he talks about the schools he uh the schools he started and what he does in the inner city so he doesn't look past that they just want to move the conversation forward and i'm just wondering if what changed over the last few years where he seems to have shut out all outside voices well i'll tell you right now and lebron does great work as a former school teacher he has a a school in in akron uh i promise school great work but here's the problem brian the the the democrats the far left and lebron has consumed too much democratic kool-aid they want a race war in the sense that law enforcement is evil even though law enforcement is the only defense for people of color and for all people every civilized society has a law enforcement but they have this black versus white game that they're playing and they're using the george floyd case for example that north carolina case we don't know the facts benjamin crump's out there calling for an execution go to chicago black on black crime no lebron no al sharpton no ben crump it's the race game that they're playing and if it's not a white officer in a black they're not interested well leo you know the good news is in that fox news poll despite the fact of over the last year there has been such unrest across the country in the wake of the killing of george floyd calling for police reform and to defund the police over 60 percent of the country says that defunding the police is a bad idea because people realize when things go wrong you need the police steve absolutely correct you know that oscar award you know the oscars ceremony you know darn well there were thousands of police officers protecting the democratic elite but here's the game going back to what brian said the democrats want to monopolize the race issue last year tim scott tried to put through police reform no good why he's a republican a black republican and guess who philip bustered it cory booker and our vice president kamala harris both black democrats that's the game they're playing i figured it out that's why i left the democratic party
