McDonald tour and he was out there taking care of course the singers making sure everything was in order and you know sometime how singers can act the fool were you saying I tell him you go sit down I'll sing the night yeah my god cuz you are certainly gifted and anointed I thank God for you keep on singing the praises of God and what can you say about the one and only Lonnie hunter how can y'all stand all this every week I'll tell you some gifted people and he is so anointed and so used by God keeps even some nets going the gifts the gifts the gifts tonight it's just good to be here we greet you in divine love to let you know that Jesus he's still the answer for the world today supplying needs and making ways and I love him with all of my heart it is a celebration [Music] it is a celebration it is a celebration [Applause] 28 years whoo my friend my brother I love you I thank God for you nobody can do it quite like you you know many are called but few are chosen let me tell you Bethany when you know that you have one of the chosen ones one that God has raised up we ought to give them double on or triple on earth because God knows when you have a pastor like this it makes a difference I have to pray for a lot of church members across this country you know Lord my pastors crazy pray for me just touch me but think of when you got a leader that is really ministering and blessing the people of God and what's so special about him he has a pastor's harped that's what makes the difference oh we know he's gifted he's talented but he has a pastor's heart and I am just honored to be a part of this night to celebrate you and thank God the celebration has been going on all day thank God for prophet Marcus Thomas I know you were blessed in this place thank God for him and all of you now our purpose tonight is to thank God and to praise God for what God is doing in this season we are the first lady Evans and all of the Bethany family we thank God for you we really do and we've just come tonight to share word to tell you just keep on keepin on that's what it's all about keep on keepin on because God's got his hand on you and that's why I know God is going to bless we're gonna get ready for the Word of God we're gonna go to Romans Romans the fourth chapter I'm gonna be focusing in on the 20th and 21st verses Romans the fourth chapter beginning at verse 20 but before we read we make a confession on how we receive the Word of God it's got to be the spirit over the mine that's the divine order of God not the mind over the spirit that's a disorder whenever there's a disorder there's a breakdown I see too many people leaving sure it's broke down because they had the mind over the spirit the Bible says the letter killeth but the spirit giveth life so I need you just to stand for a moment lift your Bible lift your iPad lift your smartphone if you don't have any of those just place your hand over your heart thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee and repeat after me if you will have I received this word with my mind only this word will be dead for me this word will not help me but if I receive this word with the spirit over my mind over my emotions over my fleshly desires this word will be life for me lord I don't need religious form and fashion I need life why don't you look at somebody tell them receive life yeah Jesus has come that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly Romans a4 chapter beginning at verse 20 the verse says he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief but was strong in faith giving honor to God and verse 21 says and being fully persuaded that what he had promised he was able also to fulfill I just want to talk for a few moments tonight on fully persuaded before you take your seat just look at somebody tell him I'm fully persuaded you may be seated in the presence of the Lord that's what the Bible is saying tonight the Bible says that Abraham was fully [Music] persuaded fully convinced influenced by what he believed in that caused him to be convinced that what he God had promised he was able to perform so I wanted to look at this tonight because I think that we need to look at it because the question tonight is how did Abraham get fully persuaded he wasn't singing the 99 and a half a do he was he was fully persuaded and I knew from the Word of God that he was fully persuaded because the Word of God here lets me know that he staggered not at the promise of God with unbelief but was strong in his faith giving glory to God that's when you know somebody's fully persuaded not when you're smiling one day and your head down I don't know God's gonna do it I don't know if God's gonna do it not fully persuaded because when you are fully persuaded that's when you praise him anyhow you you praise him through the thick you praise him through the thin you praise him through the ups and you praise him to the down well first of all he certainly did not get that way by saying what the devil said because Abraham already knew that Satan is a deceiver oh he'll smile he'll act like he's on your side but he's really come to kill steal destroy he don't like you I don't know why some people trying to get along with the devil the devil don't like you why are you trying to be nice to the devil I don't like the devil he don't like me so hey we all right so Abraham was not fully persuaded because of the devil he was not fully persuaded he was not fully persuaded by what the world was saying because he already knew don't conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind oh as he looked at his situation he did not get that way because of circumstances that were around him because I know that he had already made up in his mind that I'll let nothing separate me from the love of God no Heights no depths no powers no principalities things present things to come we'll be able to separate me from the love of God so the secret to becoming fully persuaded regarding what God said seemed to be in keeping God's Word in your mouth keeping God's Word in your mouth that's why I know you're fully persuaded because you keep God's Word in your mouth it was a classic example of God teaching us how it is supposed to be fully persuaded but death and life is in the power of the tongue so you can go even back to the Old Testament and God is teaching Israel how to enter into his promises and in Deuteronomy 28 in 1 the Word of God is clear as it relates to what he's saying because he lets us know that these promises are conditional it's not just gonna happen well you gotta have conditions in it yes yes be fully persuaded to receive the blessings of the Lord you gotta realize that it's conditional because Deuteronomy 28 in 1 says it shall come to pass if you will hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God to observe and to do all of his Commandments observing the voice of the LORD thy God which we have today and obeying and hearing the Word of God we have it today in the Word of God spoken by one whom God has called how can you hear without the preacher and how can that one preach that has not been sent so when you get a sent one that gives you the Word of God you ought to be excited about the one that has been sent to you to deliver the Word of God to you and so I realized I realized that there's there's a couple of ways that I can receive it because it can be through the written word of God but thank God it can also be received through the divine revelation of God because in the 21st century God still speaks through the preacher of God or you got to understand that you got to understand that we reference the written word of God but we ought to thank God for the divine revelation because the divine revelation is very very key as a relation to you being fully persuaded so the same God that spoke to Paul the same God that spoke to James the same God that spoke to John speak soup Bishop David we stand for the reading of the word and we say we want to reverence the Word of God but to be honest with you to reverence the Word of God you would have to stand all the way through my message [Applause] because because God speaks through the one he has called he he speaks through the one he has called so it shall come to pass if you will hearken diligently unto the voice that's why God gives us divine revelation and fresh revelation if you're not careful you will you will miss what is actually being said even because of the King James Version because the Word of God is saying if you will hearken diligently now not too many people in the 21st century talking about Harken you know you're trying to stop somebody harken it's not a word that we use in the 21st century so I wanted to look it up so that I could understand what this word harken really means and so when I looked it up the Hebrew word lets me know it means to hear intelligently in other words don't be stupid when you hear the word hear intelligently it also means to be obedient it means to declare in this word diligently this word diligently is important because I found out that that Hebrew word were translated diligently means wholly completely far louder and louder I'm speaking it because I know what I need from God so that I'll be fully persuaded because the devil is trying to talk in one year but I speak to God I'm standing on the Word of God and I'll speak it louder and louder the louder you get devil the louder I'm going to get because I am seeking God diligently diligently diligently so so allow me to to paraphrase this first and it just simply is saying it shall come to pass if you shall hear intelligently if you will be open and to declare wholly completely far fast louder and louder what God has said to observe and to do all that is in his word then all these blessings will come upon you and overtake you I got a feeling tonight that some blessings are about to overtake you you're not even gonna be able to move fast enough God's getting ready to do something in your life look at somebody tell me about to overtake me they're about to man blessings you don't even expect walking around looking for a blessing man blessings just come up behind me it'll overtake me Bishop sometimes I'm I'm rushing through the airport trying to get to my gate rushing trying to get to my gate in somebody somebody looks and say hey mr. Martin is that you is that you I'm trying to run to my day I'm trying to run in my day but then as I'm running in my day they running behind me and they said bishop oh there's got to be God I got to put something in your hand tell somebody blessings will overtake you I mean ain't even looking for I wonder stand and hold a sign talking about I need money but blessings will blessings will overtake you so sit down a moment because because God is saying here's what he's saying now just declare what I say that's all you got to do just declare what I said he said now hear it what he says intelligently don't mix it up with your ego because you see somebody else doing well and you think that is God the Bible says here intelligently you know sometimes God is just trying to take you to a whole new level and you jump into conclusive and you hear the wrong thing you think and he said go preach and he's trying to say go reach gotta hear him gotta hear him you gotta hear him you got to hear him intelligently and then you begin to declare it wholly completely far fast louder and louder because one who is fully persuaded you understand because God God gives us a sound mind he gives us a sound mind and so in the areas of life he lets us know you know as you teach the Word of God like this great man of God that in things in ministry there are facts and there are preferences what are the Preferences that I can have it has to be biblical in my preference but don't say it's unbiblical because I have a preference maybe as I as I look at my life my preference maybe some people just like traditional music at church then there's others who just like contemporary music well I like to mix it up I like a little contemporary I like a little traditional but it's alright it ain't against the Bible don't don't tell me all you ain't say a boy cuz you who what you doing singing and singing them contemporary songs got drums of it that's my preference it could be your preference today because you saved a loss because you decide on some weeks that we don't dress up and then some weeks we dress down some people feel you can't praise God unless you got a tie on that ain't in the Bible [Applause] so my preference sometimes is to dress up in my preference sometime is to dress down that that that's what God allows he allows preferences in areas that line up with his word but when it comes to biblical facts I don't care who you are you can't change the facts that are in God's Word you can't pretty it up you can't fix it up you can't try to make something happen if it ain't in God's Word even a fact it's gotta be thank you for the facts thank you thank you for the facts because in this day and time there's a whole lot of people who don't like the facts and they will get offended over the facts but I in a my church it ain't your church this is God's church so I got to preach I'm fully persuaded anybody in here fully persuaded fully persuaded sit down a moment then God said when you do all of this all of these blessings will come upon you and overtake you well well that doesn't happen overnight this there's a process tell somebody a process and you know how the process begins it begins with obedience isn't it amazing that every good organization has rules and accountability if you're in the army and they're proud of the US Army you just don't do what you want to do you know at home I didn't used to get up to 11 o'clock so don't bother me don't be blowing nothing till you need to get up before 11:00 oh you getting up you getting up you getting up I don't care how much you like your hairstyle if they want to cut your hair they gonna cut your hair because because every good organization has accountability every organization has rules rules ah you can't even go to school just doing your own thing I don't feel like studying math so I'm gonna go out on the playground and play no no no no no no you are in school to learn but isn't it amazing when it comes to church we tryna we trying to make people happy now but saying just do what you want to do that's why I love your church because I can do anything I want to do you can't do anything you want to do cuz God said you can't do anything you wanna do oh I'm preaching this 28th day anniversary yes I am can't do it can't do it because I must be accountable to what God says so it starts with obedience then the blessing obedience then the blessing obedience then the blessing God said that then you will be delivered from the curses from the curses notice that the cursors came only after the people of God were disobedient now the curses the purses the curses what are you talking about the curses will understand right now when we talk about the curses in the Bible we're not talking about voodoo hoodoo which is dust we're not talking about that when the Bible talks about curses it just simply means the blessings are stopped you're supposed to be blessed but because of your disobedience the blessing stops I don't know about you I don't need none of my blessings to God I need all that I can get I need the blessing I need the way I need the door I need what you're getting ready to do for me that's why people of God remember we're talking about faith and confessing our faith so that will be fully persuaded we got to speak it this faith force works only in the heart in God told Israel how to develop heart faith heart faith or blessing being concerned about your form and fashion he's concerned about something being real in your heart you see if you won't speak it with your mouth you gotta believe it in your heart when it's in your heart then you're able to speak it with your mouth and when I believe it in my heart and speak it with my mouth and something is getting ready to happen in my oh I feel a change I feel a change coming over somebody I'm just talking to folks who's ready to be fully persuaded fully persuaded also the secret was to continue to declare God's promises until you possess them and I got some news for you and I need to tell somebody this tonight when fear knocks at your door let faith answer the door why are you gonna let fear answer the door you know fear can handle it let me answer the door because faith is not afraid of fear and I speak it in your life you didn't ready to walk to that door you're gonna walk through that door by faith because you are fully persuaded because my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and his righteousness I'm fully persuaded I fully persuaded listen listen I'm gonna give you this last scripture and we're just gonna deal with it just for three moments in second Peter the first chapter first one gives us insight into possessing new covenant promises and here's what it says it starts out by saying Simon Peter a servant an apostle of Jesus Christ Simon Peter a servant an apostle of Jesus right note here it didn't say Simon Peter an apostle you see as soon as some people get a title they stop being a servant so the Bible's letting us know you got a hair bow you you if you're gonna be a good apostle and you got an example you got a good pastor but you see he's a good bishop but he's a servant I don't know why some people they get a little bit of something ain't even close to what he's got and you get the big head can't serve nobody you always want to be served you always got to have my entourage around you and and being fully persuaded Simon Peter a servant an apostle of Jesus Christ to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ notice that Peter now is talking to those who obtained like precious faith with us he's speaking to born-again believers he's talking to us today there's a blessing that is about to happen in your life and so first Peter the first chapter verse to this this is the prayer Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord no grace is God's willingness to use his power and his ability on your behalf look at somebody tell them that's grace that's grace God's about to multiply this in your life I am here to tell you he wants to use his power and his ability on your behalf you gotta know what grace is he wants to empower you grace is not to give you a license to sin grace is to empower you that's what Paul said maybe Paul was so upset because the devil was messing with him Paul said you gotta deliver me from this thorn in my flesh you got to take it out you got to take it out you got to take out this thorn in my flesh but then the Word of God said that God said no I'm not taking it out Paul I heard your prayer but I'm not taking it out but there's one thing I want you to know my grace is sufficient every time the devil messes with you I will empower you to handle it because if you never had a thorn then you would think you were all of that so sometimes I gotta leave that thorn there and that's why Paul said every time I go to do good evil it's right there so I speak it in your life tonight following this man of God grace and peace be multiplied in your life Oh his willingness God's willingness His grace is multiplied how is it going to come it's going to come through the knowledge of God the more I know about God the Lord he's gonna multiply his grace all the devil used to scare me but because I'm coming into the knowledge of God and I'm getting preaching and teaching the devil messes with me now I used to say they will get away get away get away but now because my grace has been multiplied in the knowledge of God I can stand back and say bring it on devil I'm about to put my foot on your head I'm about to show you that I got more power than you got because greater is He Who is in me than he that is in the what grace be multiplied then it said peace be multiplied things that used to bother you ain't gonna bother you no more I got peace I got peace the reason I got peace is because my God told me he would keep me in perfect peace if I keep stayed on him I wish you were just such sue people around you and tell him I'm fully persuaded I'm fully persuaded and finally verse 3 says according as his divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life our life can be rough sometime but thank God he said I'm gonna give you everything you need everything you need you trying to make a connection with the wrong people but God said I'm about to give you everything that you need [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] this bullet for me [Laughter] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
