ah all right thanks all okay everybody this is Bionic Commando rearmed - is PJ and these two around the couch is College Murphy Gator so before I begin I was originally scheduled to run Battletoads and Double Dragon with my character but Myka couldn't make it unfortunately and then this got added back in so that's pretty sweet but I'm gonna go ahead and dedicate this run to Mecca because he couldn't be here and that was originally gonna beat my run and the other good thing here is that if the game crashes we have someone to blame all right I think I think we're gonna be good to go here so I'll give a countdown three two one go all right so I'm I'm super excited that this category made it end because any person is really sweet in this game this gets off to a pretty pretty hectic sorry there are a lot of or rather there aren't a lot of glitches and stuff that we'll see a lot of skips and stuff like that but two of the major ones are in the first stage so we're gonna be collecting a weapon that we should be getting in stage 16 and not only are we gonna get it 15 stages early but we're gonna get level 2 of that weapon here so we're gonna be getting it early and much more powerful than you're normally habit so in any person we're not gonna be collecting a whole lot there should have been a grenade there but I I forgot I just did a practice run through so I already have the grenade we'll just pretend I collected it there bingo nice nicely done first try easy every time alright so that was the grab power-ups through balls glitch we only use it twice and both of them are in this stage essentially the collision detection only checks when Spencer spaced in the same direction he was when he started the grapple all right so there we go here we are so welcome to hype mode Spencer he's just happy to be here he's also really happy about the million that you guys are gonna hit during this run No oh yeah let's go ahead and make that happen alright so what's happening here is there's an attack called death from above that's new since it's fine to command a 2k9 which we saw earlier today court didn't if you were smart he's polite though he stopped screaming when he has to talk to this dude so death from above is like a ground pound attack that guy he was coming so basically what i'm doing here is i'm starting a death from above and then immediately canceling it by landing and the game just like it just never stops the sound effect nice this game does some amazing its it really does a couple years ago I went to PJ's place and we we were considering seeing if co-op was a viable run of this game that was a fun experience yeah um spoilers it's not but the things that occurred during the day I thought long attempt to see if co-op was viable are there things yet us standing literally on the same pixel and I get launched to the sky in here time was really one the first time I got you to play this game you went through the floor on the first object so that's pretty good yeah that was a shame alright so there's a really tough grapple here at the very beginning unfortunately if you scream it makes it easier no it didn't make it easier so that it's a really tight thing I'm not gonna try it again we'll take the the intended way down here yeah it's a really tight jump and it it has a pretty tight visual cue so when you're playing on an unfamiliar setup it's sometimes hard to to see so this stage is really neat because they're a bunch of these rooms that you could go in and they're like they're labeled boot camp there it actually hit the right thing nice sometimes it hits the blue barrel instead so this is kind of like your tutorial stage like you can go in there and the game teaches you about levers and about pulling yourself on barrels and stuff like that what is exploding well are you even allowed to ask that question anymore how is that not white noise for you these ways I think the screaming is just resetting and he's already filtering that out so the scream is actually just Spencer mimicking everyone when they found out there's a jump button in this game and disco yelling about it yes oh this this game and 2k9 both have jumps I really like it a lot of people are really mad because like the the traditional thing with buying to commando is that you have to navigate entirely by grapple like it's a precision platformer that doesn't have a jump button say edit a jump here and it's like the tiniest jump it's one tile high hmm it doesn't really let you do much like yourself to swing everywhere it just kind of makes things a little bit more fluid it's it's it's nice just cuz like even here you can see you like jump off a platform instead of falling off of it yeah so in this stage like in this game really there aren't major major sequence breaks like the grabbing the the power-ups early is certainly a sequence break but for most of the stages like most of the speed tech just comes from cutting out as many grapples as you can so like in this section you're intended to go to the far side and like hit the switch that will lower a gate and then you can climb up the other way but if your positioning is good if your positioning is good you can just you can just skip it and this games pretty aggressive but like bonking so if you swing into an enemy the game will just like you get balls to grapple line breaks and that's that so if I have to go through an enemy I'll try and wait for like a cutscene and extend the cutscene as long as I can so I'd go through them all right yeah that's fine nothing to see here no literally all right I think we're good I don't think we're good I'm trying it again this this this is a pretty big stage this is the death plane that's very far below the stage normally if you like if you fall off something in this stage kill this drone because in this game the Spencer touches water at all he's just immediately killed yeah it is extremely aggressive to her yeah usually all right doll in some pretty cute ways to you but all right now we're good there we go nice now that's that's all right yeah that's that's we're looking for yeah so at the end of the stage was like a mineshaft and you get to the end you ride the little elevator down which means the loading zones beneath the stage so we can just go beneath the stage and hit the loading zone and stage ends that way and so we skip a boss fight we skip a cutscene and some elevators and stuff yeah basically what PJ is doing is he's crouching down you can you can Crouch him and extend the grapple arm directly out in front of him and objects that are on the ground or a wall or whatnot and if it's a barrel or an interactive object you can actually basically do a motion that allows him to fall right under the the current floor area and once he's down in there he's basically in an out-of-bounds kind of area where he can freeform his way back out through that stage yeah that has a really complex like out of bouncing terrain it's really tough to navigate because you have to do it entirely blind see like there's huge trees in the foreground but it all worked out oh god why is that equipped didn't I just using a shotgun on that you know why it's a creek it's because you're you Mecca so one of the fun things about this run is that ammo management weapon weapon management we collect every weapon in the game not every every upgrade but every weapon there are six of them and each one is each weapon is good like every single weapon in this game has a youth yeah so a lot of this game is like knowing what weapons are good for what uses and managing your ammo so that you don't like just use the shotgun for the entire stage and that have nothing for the next threat so it's really neat from that perspective also if you skip another elevator again I'm gonna be real upset I didn't skip an elevator that one you can't do cuz it grounds too far below really yep huh yeah so that's from above requires a certain height to activate but elevators aren't treated as normal floors so like in this stage the ground is still down there but the game doesn't see me as being on a platform see yes alright Spencer you make a valid argument Spencer I can see Spencer stop are this part okay this Delfin I like this gun because you can like shoot your own helicopter all right these guys are never gonna know what hit them I wonder if they think it's the guy screaming really loud and a helicopter couldn't be my favorite enemies coming up oh yeah this guy's a hero yeah maybe send the next ball yeah that this is like two and a half D game I guess I guess the game's 2d but it's a 3d engine something like that that's why that guy just fell off the front of the universe yeah and they're like objects in the background that I can shoot this guy here yes guys stationed to face an explosion barrel against the wall on a cliffside and like he's just fighting the good fight he's my favorite you can shoot these things too alright anyways we have a good time here for some donations if you'd like all right silver 9pj running VCR 2 in height mode Wow and I had to read that because there are so many aids but it actually kind of broke the layout and I cannot actually read the rest of the donation good good yeah some of these guys when he killed him and they like it's stuck lying like this they just constantly accelerate and then what dimension they go flying in is random see look at his leg please ready here we go shooting out straight at the camera I like you can hear it like the scream fading away running down the hallway you've discovered a lot of dumb things in your runs but this might honestly be my favorite the yellow fader is way too good elevator alright yeah there are a bunch of different ways to set up hype mode and all of them were found accidentally and then this one I found in the practice room before my my previous my previous gdq run of us alright so scrambler dish is probably my least favorite stage they're a bunch of these grapples that are like just barely possible and you can do some really fancy stuff with this rocket launcher but the trajectory of the the Rockets is random and depending on what's rejector you get sometimes hitting the switches is impossible so I have to play it just really safe oh I thought that was it oh oh come on Spencer there we go I don't thud we just didn't comment on shooting those switches through the wall yeah yeah I forgot about that right so the shotgun and the rocket launcher can he's gonna go flying I'm ready for this the rocket launcher in the Hegel breaker can poke through walls so that the shotgun the Hegel breaker if you're just close enough to the wall is just like pokes through and you can shoot but the rocket launch of you can't actually start aiming you can't like start the shot unless you're far enough away from the wall but you can just like start and get the aiming laser going and then just walk right next to the ball and fire it through that way so we're gonna be doing a lot of like shotgun and rocket launcher poking two hip switches really all right so here's our first boss the definitely helicopter yeah this was really like it's full in concept but it's just kind of it's kind of tedious so you have to shoot these two jets on the side we're just one of them whatever you get him to overheat and this guy does four phases of shooting fire so he does mid left and then sides then mid right then sides and after the second time he does the side stop if the engines are overheated they'll go level and then we hit the big button on top can we make a golf cart that didn't hit huh which is interesting just do it the old-fashioned way one golf cart please yeah Golf Cart dispensers pretty nice yeah guess those hello he's a new runner of this and really the only other runner of this game in the last four years Oh quince identity I think this is also zelos birthday unless I'm mistaken so happy birthdays hello he found that instead yeah well clap for that so instead of hitting the plunger at the top on that dead button thing mechanism you can shoot it with a rocket launcher and I thought you had to still shoot at the top but you can apparently just shoot it right in the middle sometimes sometimes seeing that worked that time it saves a bit of time but also sometimes doesn't work I guess like through that just destroys the animation of the golf cart being dispensed is just instant transmission golf cart yeah alright so we've got like 40 more seconds of this fight if you want to squeeze in a few okay I accidentally slept through my alarm this morning and I wasn't able to catch mercé run but don't worry PJ no thanks the perfect for the trainwreck crew I was gonna donate for each successful hypemode but I know I'll be too busy dying from laughter to keep track thanks my son he just stays there so yeah this game just it doesn't care at all like they abandoned all hope of making a serious game they just decided to make a really fun game that's amusing yeah and they nailed it so yeah I don't know why he's in a golf cart I don't know I really don't know what any of this is I mean I can explain the story if you really want to know just know I doubt you could he stole the prototype helicopter for his golfing outing and Spencer ruined it the end all right so this stage is pretty sweet I like I like the Alltech rounds a lot so they edit these breakable walls that can only be broken by the rocket launcher because when you first come through this this stage you're not supposed to have the rocket launcher but surprise so yeah it allows us to skip quite a lot here which is rather nice it's a pretty neat stage if you have to play without it but I don't have to good cycle no if you wish he chose the worst possible hiding crouching behind an explosive barrel so I really like some of these guys when they're startled by you and they see Spencer they they sometimes shoot the gun but sometimes they forget to stand up from behind the barrel what happens with a lot of them is they're ducking behind the explosive barrel and then they get startled and they shoot it and kill them that might be the safer option this is this crazy to just running towards me alright we're gonna do some more shotgun pokes some more screaming good and away we go so it's a really neat trick shot that we can do here nope well we broke the ball that's good at least take the food Oh long way around [Music] I don't think I can unstart on them thinking that's it No how do you unstart all something when you literally scream at it non-stop delphos no they'll just hear it [Music] I have seen countless hours of this and it's still amusing yeah I never get tired of us it's just like during the cutscenes - he's like who I wonder what's him time to phone home just scream into the top fun fact if you do play this co-op both players can initiate height mode for depth of sound yes in mark and when height mode is active you can do another death from above and it's decks that sound effect with it - but you can't like continuously stack height mode you can only have one one active at a time so yeah if you're playing co-op you can have four instances of loud screaming Spencer at once you may also learn how to do door storage oh my god all right we're gonna do a rocket-launcher poke here to break these nice so I just I fired the rocket like super far inside the wall and the blast radius almost the blast radius is big enough to break the blocks all right the ability to actually get momentum from just a straight-up grapple is a really nice mechanic in this game wonderful it allows them to build the levels in a completely different way all the other Bionic Commando games like you have to build them generally you know a 30-degree angle or something cuz your grapple can only go 25 degrees but in this one they're able to make really steep stages yeah because you can do like these really short swings and grapple vertically and then continue from there it's a really awkward change at first but once you've just accepted as it is yeah alright so this is the gorilla a beautiful very cycle based boss very cycle based yeah gorilla is almost a primary protagonist of this game certainly gets the most screen time yeah I think of somebody ate my 80% record I think it's like a 54 54 45 or something and I think like nine minutes of it features the Killa yeah so it's pretty pretty unnecessary it's all he does in this phase is he does the sweeping hands thing he crouched under one pass and you jump over the other and then he shoots the chop I'm a big fan of the chop that's what's sinking to the moon mm-hmm I'm a big fan of these guys the morning after guys yeah so you do that he pulls ear off and then you shoot him in the ear and we're gonna repeat that three times so now it's a pretty good time to get some of those sweet donations ends all right we have a one thousand dollar donation from the Eddie Wow nice run is truly breathtaking and then we are having to catch our breath from all that laughter eat sleepy Oh so if you mash down you can like shift into the z-axis which is really fun you go into the into the background if you face left you go into the foreground if you face it right yeah at one time we were hypothesizing using that to like go around Norse but yeah it never panned out alright so sometimes this game tricks you and when the grapple connects you have to push back to to pull but sometimes on this boss it'll connect and then just disconnects and you'll walk to the right and fall off the hands and then you lose a minute okay so the bridge ascent this is the stage that I used to hate but it's a really neat level the gimmick here is that they're a bunch of switches that you can pull that destroy bridges and they let you proceed but I found out like last year or so that you can just go around so instead of going to the right and under need to grab the very side of this I can go up here climb up this way so this gets a whole lot all right so this electric ball thing that's the gyro Viper that's what we got from killing gorillas it's a super good weapon it kills every single non robot instantly even the guys with shields so like managing the mo for this weapon is really important and when you use it on a robot it stuns them and they do a rocket launch and poke their time for more buying a commandos sing-along there are no lyrics but I think you guys can figure it out let me go up here we skip a few more elevators so like the platforms are just spaced perfectly in this level for you to to not use them you can just go around it's a really cool level really good stage by the way yeah that was well done we're closing in on the million 980 I believe in you the dreams real Spencer's Spencer police in Houston all right so here's another stage with a whole lot of things - please release screaming elevator Rises Spencer's a trained professional please do not attempt to scream in the elevator on your way back here we have to dance please no all right we have a rematch with first boss here we don't actually have to fight them but if we want to activate screaming mode again we have to sell we're going to kill I believe in you [Music] all right so they're gonna be a few pretty tight swings here see if we can get these to work nice guys all right I'm coming here just missed I have $25 from mecharichter hey PJ I'm hungry how's Bradley doing nothing messing up electronics and whatnot probably yeah keep up the great work everyone PS this is a message for clay yeah we love you buddy yeah much love man yeah it's so quiet do something actually your pj don't do anything the crowd can help maybe I don't think we're gonna be able to set up there we go look what you've done thank you yeah the two may take a while you might pass out a few times you'll get there it's worth it just think you can put that on your resume I'm really good at the letter A all right this is another super annoying level normally but we're gonna go this way through the poison gas and then up here yeah that's fine it should be mentioned that poison gas is supposed to just kill you like instantly yeah it just kind of doesn't yeah it sometimes you don't die these bionics aren't as weak to radiation not enough wife in the arm yet that's it's there already but he doesn't know so it doesn't count he doesn't know one tell like the last 10 seconds of to kill doesn't count all right well if you don't tell Spencer anything he just screams he's fine it's true maybe he's just screaming because he feels so long wow this got D yeah hmm these whole games he's just running around by himself I'll be your friend Spencer maybe if Spencer was here he wouldn't have to answer is a good man we missed answered all right so this entire boss fight is just a misunderstanding like just dude we have no beef with this dude but he started yelling at us and calling us Randall because Randall is supposed to let him off this shift and then we just fight each other to the death like that is actually what is happening yeah I mean what actually happened is he screamed at us and Spencer doesn't like it when other people scream yes he has to fix it there's no elevator here for him to play the contest that's the mermaid establish dominance yeah this dude at the end I'll let the dialogue show for a bit all right so all you have to do here like he anchors himself and then fires the giant cannon if we just break his feet then everything's fine wait for it yeah thank you so this is the stage now hop never minds got away from Spencer to finish all right so this is the stage where you're supposed to get the rocket launcher why am I not up here another shotgun folks so yeah the entire game up until now we weren't supposed to have that yeah the shotgun is the ridiculously good weapon especially when you upgrade it you can fire like two or three volleys of shots nice wall yeah it's good effort you thought you were safe over there explosive barrel guy was safer Nick yeah speaking of safe come on the security blanket is back yeah all is right Wow they didn't walk you know I guess not well that guy try little did we know that ASMR existed all the way back there MCR - oh no extra noisy mode I can't hear yes don't fire the gun I love that he's like bending over dead he's reaching over to check up on that do it just three minutes all right both of those head that's really good Wow somebody's going yeah [Laughter] we have truly done something stupid yeah yeah all right wish meats it's a day that ends in day ya know we might have found some numerical person oh man we actually made it through it Wow yeah that's a high miracle that was all right so they've made the mistake of this stage just being one big room and the exit is near the bottom there's an invisible barrel there it's actually only reason you could escape in that room it's active it's actually a gas barrel like you can go in that room and shoot nothing and just gas comes out and kills you but if it wasn't for the heroic barrel they wouldn't be able to get through so that's a just super tough because that has a lot of really crazy switch shots that you have to do good stage by the way yeah gene gun going to yes from someone yeah [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Laughter] sit Spencer a gremlin oh hey gorillas back a is back and he's learned more moves know which means that there's longer between each time we get a second yeah so he still has the same moves he just does them more now he's shinier now so between like before is just hand swipe followed by chop and then hand swipe chop and then he can hit him now it's hand swipe chop and then we have this double chop and then he does another hand swipe chop and then we don't even get to damage him at the start because he's electrified so if we grab his ear we get zapped so we have to shoot his ear off first so this plate is four cycles and each cycle is longer than before so yeah llk you can do what you got to do over there the elevator is now my favorite word [Laughter] it will not okay we have $40 from wither I have to donate days run why inspired me to speedrunning because I am apparently 24 hours in the spirit in that spirit I'm doing donating 75 and if this comment is rendering PJ's run I'll donate another hundred dollars pjb seat height thank you [Music] somebody revved up the engine yep so this guy is a fun pull my finger trick so Riley's you can pull his ear off from his finger down here and if you two leaders just off like cuz it like you pull it but the game's like hey you pull this here wait that's nice that's not where ears are and then it doesn't let you oh no ok good save good save remember what I said before oh my god you would have deserved every bit of it yeah I didn't do anything wrong you did a lot right you've led us to this point your shirt says PJ on it you did everything wrong that's true yes you can you can pull this a knuckle there and like Spencer actually goes through the pulling animation and then nothing happens and then like when you get up to his ear you can like pull and like the little ear plug thing like pulls out a little bit and then that's it you can't grab it anymore and you can't shoot him and that never goes away so some happened try again and that was a fun thing I found out while I was just like fooling around and pressing grapple and stuff I also fell through the floor here just like jumping and doing grapple so I just have to like I'm terrified I said to stand perfectly still and not push buttons it's asking a lot for you to do nothing in the halls and not my name really yeah it's really had an impact on your head huh yeah alright we did it so my reward for that is the suicide gun which the game typos des napalm gun yeah that gun has one really good use Oh a for effort what are these other vowels you're using I'm confused yes the napal mantra is really good on the next boss the only non cycle based boss because it does a ton of damage to everything especially spent especially Spencer yeah it's particularly good an hundred percent because that has a lot of death work and the Napalm launcher is like immediate defiance and it also looks like like the model looks like the Hagel breaker at the shotgun so I have to be very mindful of my weapon swaps very deliberate with those and then sometimes I even checked the the ammo count to make sure I have the right oh oh what oh poor guy he fell through the floor yeah he just learned from watching you can't argue that basically Spencer has hijacked this helicopter because he really needs Lawson jizz and he's got to get there now hence the quietness yeah I enjoy the four-minute long boss flight followed by two and a half long minute autoscrollers what's not to like this doesn't even have favorite guy all these guys walk around and about you yeah this is this is the resting voice time you gotta save it up for the finale yeah it's true alright so we've got a little bit more time there's anything you'd like to read my introduction to PJ in the PLC was the infamous hypemode bid war wanted to donate to it this morning but it was already met I think Spencer is on to something they can't hear you coming in and killing them all and destroying their base with all the screaming yep plus I think I'd shoot the explosive barrel in front of me if I saw and heard that [Laughter] we have 200 dollars from kecleon I got home just in time to stay PJs run good luck PJ and hello to the whole PLC crew this donation goes to whatever PJ wants thanks Kelly I'm good shot yeah thanks all right so the rest of this stage kind of sucks what no that doesn't work oh my god actually doesn't work that doesn't work whatever whatever man you see here this doesn't talk anymore thanks Mecca all right so they trapped me in this wooden box and I still have the napalm launch area and my bionic arm it really is a wooden cage no can lift entire foiled rolls well then the prison they put you in in the next stage isn't exactly much better you know like here you can have all your guns don't worry we've got four guards Spencer just wanted to see if there's elevators here and it's the only reason he'd let himself get caught all right so we're in prison now as you should be they should be yeah I had a feeling that was gonna happen so this game has walljumps and you wall jump by pressing into the wall and I'm jumping for this thing I have to be holding forward yeah see I have to be holding forward but then release it before I hit the ball because if I if I hit the wall it stops my momentum I stop moving upwards and then I can't grab this really this is your penance for that hypo I know I deserve it no complaints there you are all right is that gonna be a problem I don't think I use rocket launcher for the rest of the stage I think I should be okay all right so we're gonna be getting one more upgrade we're gonna go slightly out of our way so the next boss I mentioned earlier is not cycle based but we don't quite have the firepower to deal with them so I grab the napalm launcher upgrade there just cuz it's like along the way and it's the most efficient way to get a huge amount of damage so the I agree with that question mark [Laughter] [Music] yeah so the the weapon upgrades do different things for every weapon that rocket launcher upgrade fires more rockets you always have three shots with a rocket launcher you can never increase your ammo the Heinkel breaker gives you more ammo I think and you can fire more rapidly the Napalm launcher gives you more ammo and it does more damage and covers more ground which is ridiculously dangerous the crickets are doing hypemode I know they're not crying they they're trying and just like that we're out of jail now we have to do the action hero exit and burn down the forest and turn town support they'll never suspect okay final ABS there's a really slick thing you can do at the beginning but the last few times I did it I got shot so I'm gonna not do that coward you know wait for this guy to shoot is that really big it worked all right nicely done not only was the button head but we got screaming mode all right all right so yeah that's a really really big rocket launcher poke [Music] this is the right weapons [Music] we'll do that [Music] okay the guy's falling off the front of the stage Oh every table sir it's like this thing huh that might be the only cutscene where Spencer won't scream through I did not want to grab that whatever just gonna have to remember for a menu later so fun thing about the force field if you use that in the guerrilla fights the game the entire console hard lock you know like the menus don't work you have to unplug the console so for the first karela fight like you can't get the force fields but for the second one you definitely can't have it and just don't use it all right this boss plates I really tough so we're gonna see what happens all right that's a really good amount of damage yeah so I have to hit him with I have to get full damage off all three napalm lawn chair shots I have to hit him with all three rockets and all three Rockets have to actually connect which is sometimes not sometimes you take it for granted I have to hit him with all but one euro viper shot and then all of the glides on shot shots so I have to use like all of my ammo and everything has to hit him plus grenades so we're super underpowered and in any percent it's really pretty amazing thank you all right nice very nice flight so that's about as good as you can get in any croissant the goal is to kill him before he finishes doing the swinging arm across the stage so it should be like a 106 or 107 anything around there is pretty much ideal 105 even very nice really good and our good friend gorilla is hanging out in the back you know yeah of course he is gotta learn he's gotta learn what a good boss fight looks like so I need a swinging arm phase in addition to my alright this stage is really cool this is like your classic escape from the exploding stage yeah what my doors work yeah when the doors work so there are no enemies in this level this is all just platforming and the platforming is really neat so like one of the major things you can do in this game to save time is like this turn around in midair so I'm facing right facing left in midair and that allows me to start the next swing earlier because if you don't turn around then when you press the other direction the swing Spencer has a slow turnaround animation like that so I try and get all the turning out of the way in the air when it doesn't cost time this was a ridiculous stage yeah that was beautiful really really good that was amazing and you didn't blow yourself up I didn't blow myself up good job have definitely seen you lose runs because you couldn't resist throwing the napalm this is amazing that's like stomp really close to the Il world record Wow yeah that was strong yes so like I can't stop pushing buttons like I just have to push buttons and that's dangerous when you have a gun that instantly kills you when you push buttons you just can't stop you can't stop pushing buttons you can't stop screaming you can't stop being PJ it's really a problem for the rest of us all right fine bunch of switches and stuff that I don't care about there's a wall we're just gonna not do that just gonna go over here instead this is a really big end uh yeah really big and complicated stage but we don't really need to do any of that it's something they don't look like it when PJ is running the game every stage in this game is huge yeah right yeah they're meant to be like exploring stages more than more than the older games where it's meant to be more about that works out good job so I want this guy to not not stray too far I need to use them for a damage boost he's strayed too far oh wait there's a bullet all right all right all right I don't think I can do it nice Wow there's a cutscene there but I don't need to watch it bad so we're gonna go down and we're out the cut-scenes trigger yeah so for some reason if you get hit by a different thing than that washing machine whatever then you can just like jump through it it doesn't have collision detection but if he shoots you then he still does I mean it was his bullet he knows you counted he wants it back yeah all right this this stage is really annoying it has a lot of these flying flying enemies they just bonk you and make you fall all right very nice I mean honking you is one of the more dangerous things and you can do it yeah absolutely so we're just gonna hope that Wow all right so words out here no yeah you are slightly dirty well you get to see what water yeah the extra hard water Spencer can fall any distance but water and now you know the secrets of hypemode it's Spencer realizing that he's made mostly of water oh my goodness how you found the hole these guys are on point yeah this is impressive get up there dude this don't think it's incredible right yeah yeah yeah we've gotta get rid of him what is that guy doing go home watch to learn robot hypemode just teach him Vijay please don't shoot me please don't shoot me dancing guy basic guys just dancing to music that only he continued yeah you mean the sound of light mode this keeps physics engine is incredible I don't know how they did it I'm not sure they did alright you know we haven't seen in a while it's a helicopter oh good I took this time you don't have your nice Watchtower to just sit on yeah so I have to actually dodge stuff this time what actual arcane or just stand in the fire that's just stand in the fire look we know you love literally just fire but could you not right now so this this bus is pretty much the same except they don't have the little GT platform on the side and then during the button phase he shoots rockets as well but other than that it's pretty much the same so that would be a good time for some donations alright we have $10 from mecharichter he says he says you're welcome [Laughter] perfect we have 25 dollars from Goku oh no you will never guess [Laughter] I will just let it one know that that hole was even longer than the other all a one in this broken this plane even further credit rolled back and forth so at the end of this you can go in the door just keeps walking into the back yep he's got places to be man it's not gonna help oh god this stage the stage were spitzer reach terminal velocity yeah this was a really fun stage when PJ and I were trying to play this co-op at one point there's a jump and I I didn't jump so much as I fell and Spencer literally disintegrated in midair and just fell to his doom yeah just both of them falling next to each other and then one of them dies yeah that's just one of them so nothing I'm pretty sure that was not nothing I started to do the il threat and then abandon it and almost died yes so the you basically respawn at the same time that that of course that didn't reach at the same time that that last vicious hit so the cutscene like interrupts interrupts here it's fun there's something I don't know just something happens and I'm allowed to move during that cutscene can I grab it grabbing that switch is kind of obnoxious because just like the exact geometry there time for the extra aggressive crushers yet oh man yeah next next room okay so crusher is in this game oh they are magic yeah if you're swinging at all like if you're connected to a grapple at all and you touched a crusher you are launched into the background yeah it's it's really amazing like it doesn't matter if they're all the way extended down if they're moving if anything get off it is lon normally you can make that but not today yeah we're just gonna go ahead and not do that that way all right so I'm gonna equip right at the very ends here oh hey this man can equip the round of a whiplash because it lets me hit those switches through the floor the whiplash is super good for hitting switches but it's it's not really it's not really worth switching until here if you're doing like individual level runs you'd definitely be using whiplash for most of them but not here all right oh man really good climb nice very good [Applause] this is a neat little puzzle room yeah the the euro Viper I think is one of the more interesting design weapons in the whole game yeah it's a great weapon the weapons are really interesting like the Goliath launcher you don't really get to see it miss much but the Goliath launcher fires and comes back it's a boomerang thing so it's really handy for hitting enemies that are like crouching behind barrels and stuff you can shoot it over them and then crouch and the boomerang will return to you at Crouch height and hit them from behind so you can do some really neat stuff with it the weapons are just great in this game yeah it's really fun all right so we have one stage left one one boss fight left and oh boy is it a good less than 10k to go come on guys you can do it I believe in you I believe in you [Applause] all right hold your this thing imagine the screams if you make us hit a million before we let this idiot off the stage yes all right so unfortunately this cutscene interrupts hypemode but the cutscene doesn't come back so how convenient that there's an elevator here yeah let's go [Music] all right still is McNab Errol he's the guy that's in this game he totally was a relevant character before this day yeah I think was he I don't even know was here helicopter pilot yeah he was as well as we killed her old one yeah yeah this fights great because it forces you to use two mechanics that don't come up anywhere else in the entire game yeah I was not happy my first time fighting the stuff I was I was very much not happy so he shoots all these missiles and stuff and then drops this bomb and you have to roll the bomb into the tower and then you have to walk around this corner which is something that otherwise that's the point five in the 2.5 so sometimes like these missiles are circling randomly and sometimes they just like hit Spencer immediately so they're supposed to just like circle around over and over on that side and square up but you get like really ambitious missiles that just like go straight for you immediately and they're weird cuz like they're circling in in three dimensions but Spencer existin too so sometimes you can't even block them and they'll just come from like z-axis and hit you from from that side alright one more to go I want Spencer in my bowling league what's your heaviest they're gonna run out of room for his name on the scoreboard they're not enough A's yeah so you don't actually have to roll the ball if you throw it at the right spot it destroys the tower but if you miss at the right spot it kills you and it only it only saves like a few seconds if you do it in every single cycle so just know it's just - why would you do that only you could come up with the term miss in the right spot all right here we are gettime sponsor see [Music] damn rookies alright and that with Jay Hobbs and mist master Emily hey everybody welcome back my name is Jay AUB's I am joined by a Miss master 1 hello miss how you doing I'm doing fantastic man how about you you nervous yeah a little bit yeah it's a good thing though so you actually this isn't your first gdq no this is actually my second gdq the first time I was just an attendee for the Kingdom Hearts 1 run that was actually there in agdq 2016 just as a comment here and I'm actually the runner of Kingdom Hearts 1 this year so how's it feel going from the attendee experience it's 2 years ago to now it's like it's been so long as well just like you know casually being there in you know just behind the runner and everything to be like actually be right up there I'm just like cool it's such a big jump man exciting I'm so excited well I want to give you a little chance to kind of explain level 1 for anyone out there because Kingdom Hearts 2 feel like a lot of people are familiar with at this point we've seen it at several gdq's and stuff the level one has actually not really been done at gdq I don't know it is though I want to go ahead and so it's a little bit pretty much back on ps3 proud mode was basically like the go-to category for most people because it was a nice balanced category but the game got reported to PlayStation 4 about roughly 1 year ago and ever since then the loads are so fast now it actually screws up the PlayStation like it's the screws up the regular crowd right at this point now so level 1 is pretty much the go-to because loads don't affect that whatsoever and you can pretty much access level 1 by just playing on the highest difficulty which is proud not critical for a lot of people get that misconception that it's critical mode for all the games but there was no critical mode in Kingdom Hearts 1 so you play on proud mode you get an ability called exp 0 right off the gate and you just put that on and you're good to go for the rest of it I think one of the biggest things about this run that's really interesting is one of the abilities you put on at the very beginning of the game in Kingdom Hearts and you leave on forever exactly everybody does is scan so that you can see your boss healthcare enemies other stuff like this like I love this game in this game you actually get skin through leveling up right like in a lot of other games it's just like a story ability or some you get from being like a certain boss or whatever and I'll have a one you're not gonna have you're not gonna have that the entire the entire game yeah so that is drastically different because you need to not only be you know executing really hard strats in which you're often what like two shots away from dying exactly but also you need to be careful about remembering you just have to figure out like what's going on in the fight like how far you are into it what attacks is this guy doing because they have like tells what like at the certain amount of HP and all that so so a big internal clock you have to have memorized pretty much going it'll every strip meant exactly in the run that's pretty cool alright well I do want to kind of jump into a couple of social media questions here we had somebody asked about proud versus critical mode but you're already a nice go ahead and move on we got one from at Jem well now who has nice hey miss how's hook ship been treating you in practice I've done it real quick if you want to explain hook ship is basically after you get through the first mid game world called Agrabah you have to do at least two out of the three mid game worlds to follow that and that spawns Neverland which is our required story world in the actual game but if you do not steal all the keyholes which is basically just completing all the worlds like all three of the world's after that there's a chance you actually just fly by the spawn for Neverland and you just go to a world you don't want to do it's completely red it's like the one in three one in four chance you just kind of get pecked so yeah so how's it been going to practice pretty good I missed it all three times I have you know tried to do it so feel good for the road be good alright cool uh at TN Dom asks can you actually understand Kage plotlines mm-hmm all right next question so we had probably 900 questions about cage 3 so now let me kind of lump them into my own one but thank you all for tweeting in those questions so with cage 3 coming out next year we hope how like it's I mean it's this kind of big thing we've been waiting for for like 10 years now right all of us that are Kingdom Hearts fans so are you excited are you do you think you're more excited for your first casual playthrough or more excited to kind of start jumping into routing and stuff after playing it I really want to play three like to its full completion before I actually get to start I'm more I'm actually more anticipating playing the game casually the first time around and then hoping that it's actually a good speed game because not necessarily a good game is a good speed game so don't want to like jump the boat or jump the gun on that right away so I'm definitely looking forward to my casual playthrough and hopefully maybe after that maybe I will enjoy my runs at Riots but I will definitely give it a shot so what you're saying is blind race on pretty much the first day absolutely well cool well mist I'm really excited for the run I am too much yeah I'm actually gonna be on the couch for two so that should be fun I'm excited for some of the incentives you got oh boy uh-huh you want to quickly like just give us a little teaser of what they Oh thief or glitches because that one's a little lagging guys yeah it is we need to push for that basically you pretty much enter a cutscene at a very specific juncture in the middle of a dodge roll and it screws up Sora's positioning going into the cutscene in the game just basically freaks out with this sort of an ad I mean he's doing like a bunch of attacks that you've abilities you don't even have on for whatever reason just a bunch of actors going all over the place and the cutscene is completely broken ISM you don't even have to understand the game to get a great life it's so fantastic then on top of that we got the level once a boy horse so I mean that doesn't even really need an introduction pretty much the hardest fight at the lowest level with the biggest handicaps policy yeah so so excited for all those but we got to get those donations in folks and make those happen remember Kingdom Hearts is only two runs away to right after goof troop so please be sure to bring those donations and throw them over towards those incentives and let me tell you that's a pretty good way to segue into some
