how old were you when you started law school at Georgetown and how will you when you finished I was 40 years old and I had to go at night searched for years at night so I was 44 when I finished and when you were doing that was there ever thought in your mind that you know I don't need to do this of what pushed you at that moment in your life to go ahead and and pursue a law degree good question and I've got an answer for you as you know at Georgetown depending upon your level as an administrator or an employee people will listen but whether or not they really listen as a question well I had a I had a bachelor's or master's but I didn't have a PhD I didn't have an MD I didn't have a JD so I'm out thinking was this I can spend the rest of my life okay trying to take these courses for a PhD and then write that paper which is an original thought that sometimes people never complete in other words a BDR or dissertation I didn't think that I could cut the mustard at the time to be a doctor meaning a medical doctor but I saw law school as being a possibility given the people around me who had succeeded in law school who were also comrades at Georgetown one way or another so I took the leap and the bottom line is I persevered and I graduated
