afford to do this and we're not doing these hoagie things of like is it cheaper in this country and way more expensive in the us we just have one flat rate and we think we made it very affordable for everybody so when we come to the pricing part what we've done is we wanted to put it at a point where um or like you say a lot of people can can have access to it and what we wanted to do was be um be loyal to you guys because you guys have been loyal to us um and give you a price uh before we actually do a roll out so that's kind of where our pricing comes in and i will say we'll talk about how long that deal lasts for and what the pricing will be after the deal um but to take into consideration we looked at obviously other things online we looked at other boot camps and we'll talk about point to start off with so you're right here we go this is zach so next yeah so in general when we say the complete.net coding bootcamp and this is why that uh this took us so long to do so you got to realize that coder founder has been formed since 2014 and our curriculum has evolved over those years to include a lot of things that it didn't when initially rolled out and so now instead of looking this as a silo course which a lot of people do on udemy or you know say if you go to pluralsight or whatever i want you to look at this more like a learning platform and so we're not making one course in fact one of the projects that we built out would be from other vendors one course so think of this as like maybe 20 courses with i don't know how many hours of footage that we'll have in this when it's all said and done but i mean it's gonna be over a thousand i mean it's it's hundreds hundreds of hours for sure and then until like uh it may be over a thousand hours of footage so you gotta realize that we're taking the complete boot camp over 12 weeks which is for us five days a week 40 hours a week or 40 hours per week five days a week over 12 weeks so like that's a lot of content that we push into 12 weeks and it's also a lot of the things that we're adding in there aren't even in our in-person boot camp because we want to provide extracurricular things for our boot camp students as well so initially this started out as just saying hey let's make self-pace for just the students of the boot camp right and just support them in their learning journey um as well as our live instruction and then we decided like well maybe we should offer this to everybody because not everybody can can take three months off and then pay for the boot camp so if you know the pricing of our boot camp our boot camp is fifteen thousand dollars in person if you have an isa option that's gonna be somewhere between 15 and 25 the max depending how much money you make coming out so you have to get a loan you have to pay cash or you're on an isa option and we just know that between the pricing and the time commitment not everyone can take our boot camp even though we sell a boot camp out every 12 weeks right you know right and so like we've had a lot of comments from people and so i realized like well maybe this would be selfish as a company to just support these 120 students that we have per year and maybe we could roll this out worldwide where a lot of people can benefit from what's going on at coder foundry so the natural question that you have right away is well why in the heck would i take the boot camp why would i come virtually now someone asked us that last friday and the difference between the two programs the biggest difference is that we are spending 40 hours a week live instruction which means instructors are with students 40 hours per week and we have four instructors on staff and that means there's a minimum of two in there in the room at all times and that's just really expensive to do so that's why you're gonna get the price second when you're stuck or whatever you can literally raise your hand and say hey that's something wrong and you get answered like right then and there yeah so the support level will still be there in the self-paced course but it's gonna be done through discord and more yeah it'll be a slower pace yeah there's still support but it's not instant on demand support right like you get in the actual virtual yeah and so when people attend our boot camp they get the self-paced course for free for life so we think that's another good benefit to our students as well so that you can always use the course to improve your career and we're gonna talk about how you can do that um going forward so that's kind of the basis of this and so um a lot of courses are designed around just coding education kevin yep but we're different um our whole boot camp model our whole thing that we do is like well how do i use this to get a job like a lot of people are like okay i want to learn how to code but really what you want to do is get a job as a software developer and so like the course is designed to help you get a job or meaningful employment as a software developer and so that is kind of what we want the outcome to be for everyone that takes it so there's things in there about coding education as well as interview prep and interview training as well yep basically so the curriculum's similar plus enhanced to what you're getting in the in the actual boot camp of course yeah here's the thing too the curriculum too is going to be constantly evolving and actually let me yeah um if i go to the if i go to the website look um i'll scroll down we'll come back to this section here in a second uh yeah we're talking about kind of this section right here and again i'll give you guys a url for this here in a second and you can go look at this um but our curriculum um sort of the things that you're going to learn um is going to evolve too this is the other thing about this platform we're going to probably release this and then we're going to instantly start working on what's next right so let's talk a little bit about road maps so like there's two ways that our curriculum is going to expand i call this the horizontal expansion and the vertical expansion let me talk about i know that's like a like a word like a businessy word horizontal expansion so what that means is the types of things that you build and so like the types of things that you build is separate from the tools that you build them with and so the types of things that we're going to build is html css and bootstrap obviously the basis for this whole thing is a portfolio so we want to build rockstar developer portfolios so whether you're a junior trying to break in you're a mid or you're a senior and you're going for that next gig having a rockstar portfolio can make to better your chances of winning that next job whether it doesn't matter what area of life or stage you are in your career that portfolio can allow you to interview better than the other candidates and so that's is the goal around the whole curriculum is to improve your career as a software developer that means that the things that we build in day one apply to the things that we that we build at the end of the day we also instead of building things in silos like let's say that we learned the bug tracker and we could teach that as just a silo piece of content except that the project that we built before may have services or code reuse that we can use in the preceding projects going forward and so that as you're going through your learning journey now you can say oh i learned that in html i learned that in bootstrap i learned that in javascript now i'm going to apply that to the bug tracker or i built movie pro and i learned how to upload images now i'm going to take that same code and reuse it on these other projects and so as we build out these projects and the things that you build that's called our vertical integration which means the types of things that you build and the types of projects you do so um go back to the web page there kevin yeah yeah so let's scroll down and let's just talk real quickly so now we know we're gonna learn html css we're gonna learn javascript c-sharp we're going to learn sql.net5 we currently right now are teaching it with the bootstrap framework and interview skills and so if you go on down you're thinking like what am i going to build and this is really what's important and so we're going to build bug tracker our famous bug tracker people have looked at this for um almost 700 or 750 000 times in our video about this we're going to show you exactly how to build this in an enterprise way we believe our bug tracker project is enterprise grade projects these aren't tic-tac-toe they're not easy to build but they're enterprise gray projects typically something that you could actually charge for in the industry as we've seen we're gonna build movie pro the same thing it's a very um professional um enterprise grade movie pro our approach to how we do this and all i love the front end for movie pro it's so good yeah yeah the front end to the back end how we store it um it's integrated with an api and there's just a lot of things that go on to where if you were really building movie pro how would you actually do that so let's scroll back up to our instructor section and let me tell you how we designed it so the instructions we have here are myself which i've been doing this writing code since 1992. jason's 20 years experience antonio has 20 years of experience of writing code and we've worked in the industry so we're not instructors who teach people how to code we're developers who decided to teach and i think that's a big difference because everything we approach is well this is how you would actually do it in the real world and it's not necessarily the easiest thing to learn but that's what you have to do in the real world anyway so we teach um projects and we craft our projects around how would this really work in the industry and not like these kind of um dumbed down or simplified projects in order to make it easier for you to understand having said that we take you from zero to hero you know like like you walk in you don't know anything to where you can build a bug tracker and actually compete for a software developer job that's building um full stack web apps it's the other that's our goal that's the whole thing good job here's kind of the other thing too like if you've just watched the bug tracker video and you just want to build the butt tracker you can just buy this and just build the buck tracker because we'll take you through how to build it like you just you see the pricing we could probably sold the price team with just the bug tracker and that is what we talked about for a while right we did talk about like siloing these things and having like let's just do this one project and do this one thing and this one thing and then we're like ah let's just do the whole thing let's just put it all together yeah just let's just so here's my strategy on that i'll go into it one more time like if we've released it to silos and the reason i didn't want to do that was because the silos don't allow you to expand your learning based on previous concepts the problem with siloed content is you have to bring in a lot of assumptions a lot of things that you need to know in order to complete the siloed content now when i talk about the image upload service that we built in moviepro you can directly apply that to the document upload servers that's built in bug tracker and then also when i'm uploading images into my blog site and so like now you start learning about code reuse and so that we have to think through our software to make sure that when we write something for reusability and things like that it's it it can be used on multiple projects because we're thinking about all of these projects so that's our vertical integration kevin but i think it goes bigger than that let's talk about horizontal integration and this is where i think it's going to blow people's minds about what we are setting out to do so it wasn't enough for us to build just an asp.net c-sharp course right because not everyone uses asp.net i still believe this to my day currently as i'm saying this that's the best one to learn right now today if you don't know anything else just follow the asp.net track but we're we're gonna say oh we got another sushi okay uh ray call again uh super super excited to buy it okay cool appreciate it man we do appreciate that encourages us a lot we just don't know um how much that encourages thanks a lot yeah definitely and actually before you talk about that too there's one uh there's one question only for u.s citizens no you can wait anybody's gonna be able to buy this um if you can so it's set up through stripe so if you can pay through stripe you can buy this thing so this is not just for u.s citizens right and exactly and we could add other payment vehicles but right now when we roll it out for this week it could we could also set up paypal but we decided on on stripe because you don't have to have a paypal account and all that kind of shenanigans there so um so you can um buy it through stripe with a credit card so i'm not sure if that works in every single country across the world but i'm sure there are limitations i'm sure there are limitations but it covers us for a lot of things if anybody anybody's in a place where they do have an issue with purchasing it um i'll give you there's a support email send us an email there and we'll see what we can do see what we can do because we want to make this would be fun yeah i'm hoping that's going to be few and far between yeah so let's talk about a little bit more about horizontal aggression i think this is a big selling point of what we're doing so like one of the things that we want to do is like today you can build a bug tracker movie pro you can build a blog and our vertical integration means that we're going to also introduce future enterprise grade projects so by the end of the year we're also going to introduce something called invoicing invoice pro and ticket pro as those two projects will be added in there so let's say that you've went through all the content and you've got blog built you got your bug tracker bill and you got something else built and then we stack on invoice pro now oh i've got a new project to tackle just like a new episode or a new piece of content you would see at netflix we're going to continually produce these enterprise grade projects for you we also have lighter weight projects kevin that's not on the initial sales page that you'll build as well we call these mini sites initially we're going to roll out with five to six of these but we're also going to add on to more of these and these are typically from our web development standpoint javascript century centric front end type projects that are typically attached to coding challenges or they solve a business problem that can be solved with just front-end technology but it won't stop there in horizontal integration by the end of the year we will tack on in addition to asp.net react with web api so that you can say okay i'm going to build these in asp.net but i get on a job and they want me to do react now well now you can build the bug tracker movie pro invoice pro your blog inside a react using web api which means you have a c sharp back in and a react templated front end and then we also are going to horizontally integrate it with blazer so now you have three choices by the end of the year i can build an asp.net i can build it in react and i can build it in blazer all four of these enterprise gray projects and then after net six comes out on our roadmap we will add in whatever the version after.net 6 xamarin state is going to be in we're going to pitch it out with xamarin as well and having said that about.net that means every single year we will release the newest version of net on all of our projects so that if you come into net next year and you're like man i need to know done at six this will be net six before the release next six comes out so that means that we'll be working ahead with with all the preview releases and once it gets close enough to where we can say okay this is general availability we'll release our code on.net6.net7.net8 as it goes and then if we add a new project on we'll code that project in asp.net blazer react and xamarin yep what we decided to do was um instead of just selling you a new course kind of every year just update the one that you've you have like and we'll talk about obviously the the pricing here in a second because there's a couple of comments here this one's kind of funny but they're taking a long time to price it because they have to explain the price no we don't depends depends on what you mean i don't know and then and then david just wants to know how much it costs how much is this the course is going to be i promise you when we get down to there uh you know we've i mean you know we're on youtube kim we do have to sell the teas a little bit right just bear with us at least at least a little bit just a little bit we're not running ads on this we want everyone to buy this but we want before we announce the pricing we want to tell you kind of like the the depth and breadth of this course so my goal is isn't to build a singular course my goal is to build something like pluralsight and so when you look at my five-year plan for this that's where i want to be the pluralsight of coding and so like it's going to be more than the boot camp it's going to be where you when you want to learn how to code you can come to our site almost gave away the url and then uh and then we can uh come to us to learn how to code and and get a job as a software developer and then as you're growing and you're senior you're mid and you have to change stacks you can come to us and switch your stack over um by learning from um and i agree that we believe that and that's why we have that's why we have two offerings that's why we will continue to keep a virtual offering uh because we understand getting that like instant feedback is is an important aspect of this too and it's something yeah we know neither one of them is the perfect answer for everybody what but one of them is so and i think that um if you really build an image service that allows you to upload images um from a web form you could use that on any project let's say that you're working in the industry man you're not you're not even building the bug tracker you're just trying to help your employer out and you're like dude i can use that image service from my book tracker and using a real project that's the scope and scale of what we're doing and so when we look at these other full stack boot camps they always trend below junior level like it's it's it's not quite like enterprise ready you know you're not quite ready you've got to make a it's not through it's not it's not through us it's through a genuine like third-parties provider it's through stripe it's um you know it's that kind of good stuff um raphael i want to know if you can purchase somebody else um you can i believe i think you just put in their email address and your credit card details and it'll um it'll it'll purchase it for them raphael yeah um there's no um um i think you'll you'll probably set up their account for them i'm guessing and give them investment then just send it to them i think um again this is kind of new to us too in terms of the platform side service but the platform is ours so unlike other learning platforms when you go out there and someone releases a course saying pluralsight or you to me it's hard for them to change those courses and update it we have complete control of this so like if someone makes a comment to us and say man i watched this video or i saw this section of the course i was confused on that what you'll see as us is adjust the curriculum maybe um issue a an addendum video or even re-record the whole section if it didn't make sense to you so that um so that you always get the best value so it's it's more like we're working on a software project and you found a bug in it and then we're gonna issue a correction out you know like you know so like we'll probably track our um course issues inside of um a bug tracker probably though i'm sure we will i'm sure we will you know it's uh well she gives us more time to arrange and fix content whereas before because it's on those other courses it's really hard for you to re-upload all that content and we have complete freedom complete control and we're not going to a third party that dictates what we can do and what we can't do yep and that's the reason why going to offer on on the zoom cause so like zoom calls will be private zoom webinars so typically inside a coder founder we have a webinar feature that we deliver online content the same instructors that are teaching on a daily basis inside a coder foundry that could be me it could be jason antonio and others we'll be delivering content on a weekly basis to these people after outfits rolled out be an html javascript thing going on as a c-sharp thing that's going on as well maybe a bug tracker-centric thing going on or a web api centric thing going on so that you can learn from us directly on a weekly basis and then you attend the webinar that makes sense to where you're at in the self-paced course because we have no idea where you're where you're at at that point so um we think that'll help you in your um in your journey as you learn to code there'll be opportunity for us to like lecture and then answer a lot of questions to students so i think that'll help you out another things that we didn't mention we're also covering things like vs code visual studio git everything all the tooling that you need to do to be a professional developer how do you how do we set get up how do we set vs code up how do we use visual studio um which is just from our years of experience of building projects this is how we do it so that you can be confident when you go to somewhere to work you're like oh that's exactly what they did in the boot camp and that's because we kind of work in the industry man that's just kind of how people are doing stuff currently and if we see different things we'll just change it you know um and when the ground changes we'll we'll add to the platform so this is zero to hero um just imagine if you get early on in the plural site and you had a lifetime membership for eleven dollars for everything right right right hey you know it's kind of like it's kind of like me with my hbo subscription right i don't know if anybody else did this but with with had people that can go to that program and then the us pays pays us so we're we're certified under that program we figured that that's the only one we really need right because there seems like there's a whole there's a bunch of those isn't there whatever when we're looking yeah there's a bunch of them and you got to apply and like it's just so we got one so we think that the va there's a way for you to pay through the va yep um so thomas is asking will calls be recorded for those who work full-time jobs and can't attend during the regular day i'm guessing that's for the uh like the live zoom calls um so thomas here's what we're saying for people attending live in person if you can't attend the day we tell you not to attend the virtual boot camp he's probably talking about the zoom support calls for this though i'm thinking oh well those yeah i think live sessions i think i think we will i think that is the plan yeah we would record those if you're talking about that yeah that'll be recorded on demand they won't stay up there forever because we want to keep that content fresh correct we'll probably have them up for the couple of days afterwards and then the next one will get replaced with the last or if it's one a week we'll replace it with the next weeks and we'll just have one rotating wrong whole time so that you can um we don't want to um just keep it full of stuff that's not it's kind of not relevant so all of these will be relevant to whatever's going on for the day so they are kind of live but yeah you'll be able to get access to those and that that's a good question yep yep definitely uh let's see oh okay so martin wants to know are we talking about actually a few people have mentioned this too do we talk about azure in this all right so i did mention that that's part of our horizontal um expansion so currently right now if you're in our boot camp right now we are on heroku using postgres sql because that's a free way to do this we used to be on azure right just this is not something like we haven't done in the past we moved away from russia yeah we moved away from azure because of cost but if you're out there now and you're in the self-paced course we're going to give you uh two options right now it's gonna be postgresql and azure you can post to azure and then we'll also probably in 2022 at aws so you'll have three ways that you can publish your project heroku being the free option with postgres sql azure being the enterprise option with microsoft and then aws if you're pushing your react projects to aws we realize those are the two dominant web platforms we'll cover all of those things um in the in the coming future azure will be first adobs will be second and heroku will be at lunch you know there you go uh let's see i wasn't queuing these up so there's a lot of like stuff in here i'm trying to think if there's a uh okay i don't want in here you made austin happy okay well i appreciate it i hope that's not
