foreign [Music] so let me say a pleasant good evening to everyone it is so so good to be able to uh come together one more time god is indeed an amazing god and you know i want to thank god that he is such a faithful god when when we think about all that is happening in today's world it is it is a consolation to know that jesus cares it is a consolation to know that jesus cares about us in such a real way that we don't have to worry about anything but that we can trust him knowing that he is gonna take care of us what a consolation this evening amidst all that is happening amidst all the struggles amidst all the sorrows i miss all the strife i miss all the troubles believe me it is a consolation to be able to draw close to the lord this evening and to just give him praise i know that you are where you are in your homes right now and chances are in different spaces and you know some may be on the road traveling trying to get home um and just different places but wherever you are tonight would you just just take a praise break moment you know just say something to the lord that you know would just acknowledge his sovereignty that would just you know lift up the his matchless name something that that would just tell him would express to him you know your feeling of emotion to him you know something that would express your gratitude and your thankfulness like you know just thank you lord for your blessings upon us this evening irrespective of all that is happening we can say thank you lord we can say praise the name of jesus we can say god you are good and your mercies endure it forever and ever and that tonight is really a blessing especially for me when i think of the goodness of jesus and when i think of all that he has done for me the truth is i do not have enough breath to say hallelujah i don't have enough words to express myself i become lost for words when i think of all that he has done and where he has brought me from i become overwhelmed and sometimes i just become silent and sometimes i just cry tears and sometimes i just listen and sometimes i just lift my hands and just give him our praise and i declare that tonight we can do that irrespective of where we are at irrespective of what is happening irrespective of the struggle we may face i want to declare to the 3b family tonight that we can give god glory and honor and praise hallelujah thank you jesus thank you lord you are good and your mercy is forever oh hallelujah glory to the name of the lord for the name of the lord is a strong tower the righteous run into it and are safe hallelujah we are going to open tonight in prayer of course for those of you who may be visiting and are coming for the first time and don't know we have been going on we are on a journey a 21 day journey of prayer and as we pray these 21 nights as we meet on zoom and you know we we talk to the lord we are in a state of anticipation and so tonight of course is no different we're going to be praying tonight again and as we pray tonight again you know i want to challenge our hearts without you know a short portion of scripture and then we will go into a couple of sessions of a prayer but tonight let us open in prayer as we look to our god let us pray eternal father and our god we lift o god your name on high we declare that you are worthy to be praised and that there is none who is like you from everlasting to everlasting the word the scripture declares that you are god this scripture declares that before the earth was formed you were god this scripture declares that irrespective of what's taking place no you are god this scripture god declares that when all would have been said and done you will still be god so the scripture declares that you are the alpha and that you are the omega that you are the beginning and the end that you are the first and the last oh god that is so difficult to comprehend that before man was before mata was you were and when all of that would have ceased you will be oh god my heart is overwhelmed just thinking about how great you are you are greater oh god almighty than the universe you are greater than everything inside of the universe and all outside of it you o god almighty are god your word declares that god the earth is your footstool so somewhere you're sitting on a throne and lord your foot is on the earth lord we can't comprehend the size of the earth lord we cannot comprehend its movements lord the scientists have figured out how it moves and god almighty we talk about from end to end but we can't determine god what that actual distance is between the different poles and lord god almighty it's your footstool oh god we honor you we worship you tonight it is a pleasure to be able to bow in the presence of such an awesome god it is a pr a pleasure lord to be able to have the ears of such an awesome god it is such a pleasure to know god almighty that we belong to such an awesome god and so tonight god we simply raise a hallelujah we declare here's our worship take joy in it lord make it your dwelling place we want to put a smile on your face god we present our hearts to you we present our lives to you we say here's our worships my lord here's our heart lord smile god we thank you for tonight lord we thank you for those who gather who have gathered tonight and who will gather tonight lord those who are from right here in and around the 3b god environment those oh god who are from around kingston and saint andrew and saint catherine those oh god almighty who are throughout the other parishes god almighty in jamaica and those o god were in the diaspora who are coming to us lord from the caribbean god from the united states of america god from canada and england and japan those oh god almighty were coming in from other parts of the world we say welcome to you and we say thank you for coming into the very presence of the lord our father would you allow us to feel the nearness of your presence tonight would you cause us to feel the brush of angel's wings lord would you cause us god to experience the glory god that you place on each face and cause oh god this congregation tonight to know that the presence of the lord is in this place lord be magnified be glorified be lifted and high as we worship you now in jesus name we pray and everybody say amen and amen and amen hallelujah so good to have you on tonight again as we continue our 21 days of prayer we believe that god has called us into this time of praying this time of intercession for our world for our church for our communities for our leaders for our people for the situations that confronts us for our faith for revival for the church and tonight we are grateful to god for the opportunity to come one more time in the midst of life there is death and tonight we acknowledge and recognize to our members from our congregation who would have passed sister patricia lowe and sister patricia lowe as you would know is one of the daughters of our founding our founders of our church as well as sister angela gail an amazing woman of god daughter of zion she has got they have both gone home to be with the lord and we're just so eternal great eternally grateful for the time that they spent with us here on earth our prayer is that as they rest in god's arms that we will continue to thrive and to strive unto good works as god accomplishes his purpose in and through us we continue to pray for the family members of our dear sisters and of course we continue to give them the kind of support that we can the best way that we can again good evening to everyone welcome to everyone welcome to my technical team who continues to do an amazing job welcome to those of you who are on youtube and those of you who are on zoom so so good to have you this evening i'm just going to share my screen with you and of course like i said um we're not doing bible studies so much to speak but what i'll be doing is just sharing a portion of scripture and as we share this scripture i'll just seek to expand from it somewhat and then we will go into a couple of sessions of prayer i want to welcome particularly don kufu who has been visiting our prayer meetings so good to have you on my brother the lord bless you richly and we pray that you will be blessed as we worship the lord together amen so let me share my screen with you and let us just look at the word of the lord tonight in brief and tonight we want to talk a little bit about the power of praying expectantly we want to talk a little bit about the power of praying expectantly and this is something that i feel is critical to us as we spend time each night each day in this disciplined discipline called prayer prayer is one of those disciplines that is tremendous it is real it is relevant and it is something that will benefit every child of god as a matter of fact it will benefit every individual who opens their mouth to pray the enemy is afraid of people who pray to god and let me say to god because people pray to others yep but those who pray who kneel their hearts and prey to god are people who are feared by the enemy and so we're going to look at this evening a portion of scripture from the book of acts chapter 12. one one that is probably familiar to some but one i know that will be a blessing to you acts chapter 12 verse 12 to 17. and it reads thus when they when this had done on them on him he went to the house of mary the mother of john who called mark where many were gathered together and we're praying and were praying and when he knocked at the door of the gateway a servant girl named rhoda came to answer recognizing peter's voice in her joy she did not open the gate but ran in and reported that peter was standing at the gate they said to her you are out of your mind but she kept insisting that it was so and they kept saying it is and it is his angel but peter continued knocking and when they opened they saw him and were amazed but motioning to them with his hand to be silent he described to them how the lord had brought him out of prison word of the lord word of the lord you know i'm i'm i'm grateful to god for these scriptures i'm i'm very grateful to god for the scriptures you see this is one of those bible stories that speaks directly to christians and it speaks of course to unbelievers as well but directly to christians you know but but to really get a good handle on the message it preaches we we have to jump back to verse five verse five says so peter was kept in prison but earnest prayer for him was made to god by the church so what we see from verse 5 is that peter was in prison and he was kept there and the church prayed earnestly to god for him and this is something that is critical as we seek to spend some time in prayer for god now like i said without trying to to to to preach the the texts you know i i want i want us to just look at it in a in a real way as you know we we see what you know the writer is saying you see i i don't know exactly what the followers were praying for the text doesn't say exactly what they were praying for but i would assume most of their prayers would have surrounded the theme of deliverance and this is this is real i would want to assume that it would have surrounded deliverance and and for a number of reasons one i mean if when you read when you read the passages before the chapters before you would recognize that james was just beheaded yep um peter is now imprisoned and destined for the same faith they they you know they know that the jewish leaders and the roman leaders are now aligned against them and you know the pressure is mounting and it's it's something when when pressure is mounting like that i mean this is a young church this is a church that one of its leaders would have already been been beheaded and the other leader is in prison and all of the leaders of the then world is aligned against them and this is something that is critical yeah i'm sure they must have felt pressure they needed what i would call divine intervention yep and so they sought to earnestly pray the texas they earnestly prayed for peter but the question i have is what kind of things did they pray for you know what kind of things did they pray for i mean peter is in prison um james would have been beheaded what were they praying for you know what would their prayers be you know by lord change the situation you know um would they pray regarding peter's situation or would they pray regarding their own situation or their comfort you know what would they be praying about would they be praying about protection would they be praying about peace would they be praying about rest would they be praying about hope what what would they be praying about you know and and and then you can also wonder if they prayed for this for peter's definitive release from king agrippa you wonder if they would have been praying that king agrippa would have released peter who is of course the one who was in charge at the time you know i i think they may have prayed for this you know but we will never know for sure yet it becomes clear that they you know whatever they prayed for and if they prayed for it they did not expect it to happen then never expect it to happen and when you read the text the text gives you that indication that whatever they were praying for by is not what they were expecting and this is something that is critical even as we spend some time in prayer in this season i'm not sure if they were praying for peter to return and expecting that peter would return because when they heard and knocked on the door and sent rhoda to go and open the door or at least to see who is at the door when rhoda comes back and reports to them that peter is at the door their response was no it's not him it's an angel can you imagine it makes you wonder what were they expecting when they were praying they're praying for peter because a texas earnest prayer was being made for peter now if they were praying for him to be released why were they expecting god to release him when he came outside the door the text says they said it was an angel but then this is something i thought about and i don't know if when you read the text you think about that you know it it was a it's a simple thought because in a real sense the the the the response to rhoda really exposes the christians and how they were praying it exposed what was in their mind it exposed how they were praying and this is a critical thing critical thing how they responded exposed how they were thinking and unfortunately it exposes how most christians pray to you know we go through the motions of a prayerful life not true we we call prayer meetings we're disciplining prayer in the mornings in the afternoon you know and and and we're very diligent and we were prayerful yep um and we have a prayerful life we ask god to do things that only he can do and and the truth is after we ask what we do is we kind of go back to our daily lives we cannot go back to our chores and say all right you know i've done what i needed to do now i i've prayed you know and and what we do is without any expectation that god might do the unexpected you know we just go on and then god steps in intervenes divinely and guess what as a result we see peter being loosed and as peter is being delivered what happens he exposes how the christians were really thinking you know when i sit down and think through this story and read the story i don't know i i wish and hoped probably that this story would have said you know christians prayed earnestly for peter's release from prison and then they sat waiting by the door don't that sound interesting christians prayed for peter's released earnestly and then they sat by the door waiting i think if that was the story that would have been an interesting story you don't think so you see i think this is critical because as we go through this time of prayer we're praying for a number of things and i want when our stories are written it must be said it clearly won't be the bible but it must be said that when the people at 3b prayed they were expectant that god was going to come in and do something my question is we've been here praying what do you really want god to do what are you expecting god to do have you been looking out have you been listening out have you been saying okay god we've prayed when are you coming are you here yet god i'm looking god i've not seen are you expectant because the truth is what is this sense we're going to ask for a drink of water if we're not expecting to receive a drink of water tonight we're going to ask the lord to do some things you know expect and praying is prayers prayed in faith and faith believes in what it prays for or ask for prayer expectant praying is prayers expecting results prayer looks for answers expectant praying is prayers that rejoices in the outcome tonight as we go to god in prayer we're going to first and foremost tonight we're going to pray for the faith of the saints yemen we're going to pray for the faith of the saints each of us who gather each night to pray we're going to pray for our faith that as we pray we will believe what we pray about what we ask for we are going to believe who we are asking we're going to believe him the bible says that those who come to him must first believe that he is first thing and foremost we must believe that he is we're not going to the other part yet we're just talking about the first part we must believe that is that's faith we believe he's sovereign we believe he's mighty we believe he's able we believe he's all-powerful we believe he's infinite we believe that he's god we believe that he is the son of man we believe that he came to earth we believe of course in this story yemen it may be a myth to some people it may be a hoax to some people but we believe that he was crucified that he was buried that he was raised from the dead by the power of god through the holy spirit we believe that he ascended to heaven and that he's coming again we believe yemen we believe that he is sitting right now at the right time of the father as the intercessor that's why when we go to the throne we go boldly because we have an advocate in jesus who is calling out our name who is making petition on our behalf so we're going to be praying for our faith right now i'm going to be leading out this prayer and as we lead out i'm going to invite everybody to bow your hearts and i'm going to invite you to pray with me or believe with me as we look to the lord in faith right now great god jehovah we honor your great name you are sovereign lord and there is no one like you lord you are rich and powerful in mercy and grace your grace knows no bounds your mercy o god almighty is extended to all generation lord god of heaven and god of earth you are the one who was and is and is to come there is not your second lord you stand alone yes you are incomparable there is none you're equal there is none to be compared to you you stand alone it is why you desire worship from us and you desire it for yourself alone it is why you are a jealous god because who can be compared to you one songwriter declares that we search all over and couldn't find nobody none god will look high and low and still couldn't find nobody lord search the heavens and we search the earth and we search beneath the earth and you are still god almighty all by yourself hear us this evening as we pray lord we declare that you are strong and we are weak we declare that our strength is in you lord we declare that you can see and we are blind our eyesight is in you lord we declare in the name of jesus that you are wise and our wisdom is foolishness but our wisdom god is found in you that which makes sense almighty god hear us tonight as we come to you we confess oh god our sins lord so often times we would have come to you and when we come lord we come not believing we come god as a ritual we come merely to fulfill a ritualistic goal we confess and repent lord god of heaven so oftentimes we come to you in prayer and when we come lord it is just another chore we come large just seeking to fulfill our days days roles and responsibility as a believer and god we come and we speak words god almighty and simply leave them there as words god we repent and confess and ask your forgiveness tonight lord so often times we come to you and we come god seeking to impress you god almighty with our words with our knowledge with our skill sets lord we come oh god almighty with intentions oh god almighty to impress you god into responding to us lord we confess oh god our faults and ask your forgiveness recognizing that you cannot oh god almighty in be impressed by our words almighty god even now as we kneel before your throne our hearts we're thankful that god you've forgiven us because your word declares that if we're faithful to confess our sins then you are just untrue to forgive us of those sins and unrighteousness lord we come to you tonight again god we've been coming to you oh god almighty night after night as a congregation and lord we've been soliciting heaven we have been oh god almighty asking and knocking and seeking and father as we come tonight again lord god i commit the faith of this congregation to you i commit oh god almighty the faith of my brothers and sisters that god even as we ask of you that we will ask o god in faith believing that you are whom we say you are god we know that you are who you say you are because there is no darkness in you there is no lie in you you are not a man that you should lie and god you're certainly not slack concerning your promises your words are ye and amen you value your word oh god almighty more than anything else your word is your character and tonight god almighty we just want to say thank you god for being god as your people come together and call on your great name we invite you even now oh god to hear our prayers lord i pray that god almighty you will raise o god almighty your hands and rest them on each individual lord i pray that as we your people come to you in prayer that you o god will hear the prayers of our hearts and that we o god almighty will exercise faith in you the kind of faith oh god almighty that declares that it is well the kind of faith oh god almighty that declares that no one else can meet our needs can touch our hearts can open those doors and so lord we call for faith to arise now in the name of jesus christ we pray oh god that the faith of your people will arise we pray that faith will come alive in this season we pray that as your people ask oh god almighty that god our faith will become active that our faith will become energized we pray that as your people pray that god almighty we will develop faith oh god that our god strong and robust faith oh god almighty that knows and understands your word faith that believes your word and faith o god almighty that is expectant in your word i pray even now in the name of jesus back who i pray now god that the faith of your people are beginning to come alive in this season that god almighty faith to move mountains lord god is coming alive mustard seed faith is coming alive faith o god almighty that can open jordan's river that can open red sea is coming alive now in the name of jesus christ lord we're constantly in prayers god almighty to you and we know that you are able god to do far exceedingly abundantly above what we can ask or think lord in christ jesus and so we pray that you will cause our faith to come alive now lord god almighty we bind that wavering faith now in the name of jesus that faith that is being tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine that faith that has been tossed to and fro god almighty like the waves of the sea we command you to be steadfast now in the name of jesus we bind every kind of faith that is seasonal that only looks for something when it becomes a particular thing we ask you now in the name of jesus christ the cause oh lord your people's faith to arise we thank you oh god almighty for strong faith for robust faith we come against wavering faith faith oh god almighty that oh god almighty doubts you we thank you for persistent faith faith that god almighty does not give up at the first sign of trouble or faith that does not give up at the first no but faith that is excited and persistent faith that will continue to knock faith that will continue to ask faith that will continue to seek faith that will continue to find faith that will not stop until the doors are open in the name of jesus raise up oh god almighty some persistent faith tonight lord god almighty i feel somebody's faith coming back i feel somebody's faith being persistent again i feel somebody's faith that was wavering god almighty is starting to gain some stability in the name of jesus oh god almighty thank you for strong faith thank you for unwavering faith thank you lord god almighty for faith thank you for faith god almighty that is persistent faith that will not give up but faith that will go through to the very end almighty god in the name of jesus christ we thank you this evening that faith has arised that faith has arisen god in the hearts and the minds of your people god we thank you now that somebody's faith has returned somebody's strong faith has returned somebody's unwavering faith has returned somebody's persistent faith has returned lord somebody's mustard seed faith has returned in the name of jesus oh god we thank you we bless your name we worship you and we praise you and we say god in the name of jesus christ be glorified even now as we o god almighty wait upon you and look to you and call on you god almighty with our faith that god almighty has returned oh somebody would you go ahead and just begin to thank the lord thank the lord just begin to thank the lord just begin to thank the lord for your faith that has returned your strong faith that you once had but it started wavering just go ahead and begin to thank the lord oh and begin to receive even now in the name of jesus receive your strong faith again god your word tells us that you've given to us measures of faith thank you for the measure that you've given to us lord thank you for the measure we receive those measures and we activate those measures and we call for those measures into existence into play into reality and we say god let faith arise in the name of jesus christ of nazareth tonight we receive oh god almighty we receive and believe this faith in jesus name go ahead somebody go ahead somebody go ahead and give him praise go ahead and bless the name of the lord god almighty he is worthy to be praised mighty god mighty god mighty god daniel's god everlasting father prince of peace you are god and we bless your name tonight thank you lord god almighty for returning our faith thank you for returning our faith jesus oh we bless your name come on somebody go ahead go ahead and praise him go ahead and praise him go ahead and praise him ah god faith has returned tonight when we pray when we pray we declare in the name of jesus christ that we're believing god for that which we're asking and that those things that we're asking for that they are coming to life again in the name of jesus christ hallelujah thank you jesus our second prayer point as we go into as we continue with prayer tonight is prayer for deliverance listen when we believe that god is we believe that god is a rewarder of them that seeks him and in the portion of scripture that we read in acts that portion of scripture tells us that the people of god were praying and god delivered hear me i believe that god is able to deliver us tonight i believe that god is able to deliver tonight is there anybody else who believes that god can deliver tonight is there anybody who believe that god can deliver tonight god is able to do just what he said he will do he will fulfill every promise to you so i want to encourage somebody tonight don't give up on god he won't give up on you he's able we're praying for deliverance from demonic oppressions and we know those kinds of demonic operations there are many yep we're going to ask god to deliver us from fear we're going to ask god to deliver us from doubt we're going to ask god to deliver us from worry we're canceling some worry tonight we're cancelling some fear tonight we're cancelling some doubts tonight in the name of jesus we're cancelling demonic oppression oh god almighty you know we talk about what about demonic oppression what about things like panic attack them something that we have some people locked in fear we're talking about we're talking about depression yeah man some things we're just have you done and we talk about oppression oppression where you just feel burdened down and weak and it just seemed like say boy you can't get old from under the bandage without deliverance tonight and you have some families who need deliverance tonight you have some fathers some men some mothers some daughters who need deliverance tonight listen we have some leaders who need deliverance from some demonic oppression that hold them captive listen we have some folks that needs deliverance and guess what we're going to pray for deliverance tonight in the name of jesus christ i wonder if sister matt knight can open her mic and pray this prayer at this time system at night are you able to open your mind and pray at this time yes bishop we're praying for deliverance thank you jesus i'm demonic oppression and depression our fear and doubt our anxiety oh god in the name of god let me greet you pastor pinocchio unto the whole soul of fear understand scripture that you read tonight it says that the same night when peter was put in jail the night before oh god they were gonna take him to trial god came in and did a deliverance i don't know who have a situation hallelujah tomorrow or even tonight but as our pastor exalt us tonight in faith virgin that's the most important thing when we pray we got to believe what god says he will do he will do it so i'm gonna pray as you come in agreement with me hallelujah um what did you say i should pray about pastor deliverance stretch our hands to you again yes god this is a time when we pray and sometimes the enemy don't want us to pray because he's telling us we pray already two three times since morning but you told us lord to pray we don't see sin so god we come at this time lord we as we approach your mercy seat your holy of holies oh god one more time god your children come before you again lord and we know lord that sometimes satan tries to take away the faith that we have in you but your word declare in hebrews 11 that faith is the substance faith is the thing that we draw from oh god that we suck from oh god and it is the evidence of things we're not seeing so god the word clears us so if we see the thing it is not fiat so lord i pray i know that you begin to lift the faith of your people who are scared oh god and doubting for all what is going on your loved ones are some of us some of some of our loved ones are going home before us and all type of things are happening especially in the island of jamaica right now lord people are killing people and and fear is gripping people that believe in you love but tonight we come in the name of jesus this is what the word says tonight and i i this word this grip me tonight the night before peter's trial oh glory to god you went into the prison house lord jesus this is a scripture that really lifts my faith and i can't phantom it out it get me excited about the god that we serve the bible says that the day that the two angels went in and tell peter get up man take off put on your slippers man put on your clothes i don't know what went through peter man but one thing i know he was obedient to those angels oh god can we be so up here be obedient to the holy spirit tonight and recognize that the god that we serve the word that he declares lord god almighty it is word of truth and it cannot change hallelujah so tonight lord god i bring your people tonight god feared us gripping the lies of your people but god i pray tonight god that we will go back to the world oh god like i'm medicine lord jesus when we oh god go to the doctor and they prescribe medicine ferocity said it takes 30 days oh god to start work but for you lord god if we have faith like a mustard grain it works immediately oh god almighty i pray tonight lord god that you'll remove fear from the hearts of your people god almighty the word i said don't be afraid for i am with you i will never leave you now forsake you that's god's word that's not the government word that's the word of god believers i'll lift you up before we lift you up before god tonight in the name of jesus god this situation is coming right at your door and it's next door but the word of god said it shall not come nigh thee only with thine eyes we shall see it oh glory to god so lord god even though you are looking at it next door lord jesus because you're in a god in that that cannot let you down and will not let us down god we believe almighty god almighty that it will not come nigh us although some people are going with it lord by it lord it shall not come nigh thee i pray god tonight god that you will remove doubts from the minds of your people oh god and that they will exercise their faith and their trust in you tonight god may you increase our fear tonight lord god doubt does not come from you one preacher said we should not allow oh god fear to come and replace faith but if we don't we won't want to let fear get into our mind because that's the that's the that's that's the the part of our head that tells us what to do that is part of our body that controls the mind oh god so tonight lord god in the name of jesus i pray that you remove fear lord i pray o god almighty that doubt will be destroyed tonight in the name of jesus i've listened to some great powerful testimony and this prayer me zuma got some nights lord god and it makes me have sleepless night just thinking about how god just comes in right and time like what he did to peter oh god so we realized that it is not happening only in peter's days it is happening in this 21st century lord god will you really move doubts from the mind of your people tonight lord god and that your people or god will exalt your name that your people are god will worship you even when we pray god and we don't see anything happen at the time oh god i believe that when peter was thrown in jail oh god peter wouldn't be peter peter maybe never never matter what happened he just trust god like paul and silas they did not worry who would go their bill but under prior bells they began to ring and half came the stock as they began to sing we are on the prior bill we are rigging it out tonight god because there is situations god that looked dominant oh god it looked like it's not going anywhere and that's why we are like harbor lord god we question you god and we are asking you where are you not seeing you're not listening yes lord you are listening but you are waiting on your children to exercise their faith in you god almighty we can't take the word from this song and put it in our action it is so sweet to trust in jesus and to take him at his word just to rest upon god's promises hallelujah and just to know thus said god almighty it is you who have said it lord he's not the governor of jamaica he's not the president of united states is not our pastor it is your word bible say your word of god was written by men who were inspired and moved by the holy ghost hallelujah he speak the words and it was done oh god almighty it's time for us as a as believer to speak the
