BEWARE of Ultraprint 12k - The FrankenPrinter!!!

no you couldn't hear me so that was the first test now hopefully you can hear me and I am quite clear um you might be here wondering what this is cuz I've not announced it's a live stream this is actually a very last minute video I was thinking about it this morning uh whether or not I should do this video um but I've decided you know what it it would be unfair not to do something so I've been asked quite a few times um about this printer about the ultra print 12K and well the story for me at least has been very very confusing up to this point so I can somebody do me a favor can somebody just drop a message any message saying hi or something like that perfectly uh rle still Skin's done it perfect thank you just wanted to make sure that somebody uh could say something in the chat so that I know that it's live so now that I've verified that the chat is there I'm just going to say I'm going to wake ignore it uh for the majority of this video because I want this video to be able to be watched by people uh and and have this be useful after the live stream so this isn't in my usual format this is very much a hey here's a last minute story this is this is the situation as it is so as you can see here we are looking at the ultra print printer uh they've currently raised £ 295,000 of a goal of 700 7,932 pound they've got 472 backers they've got seven days to go now this printer I've been asked a lot of times what do I think am I going to review one am I going to thingy so this printer caught my eye on Facebook of all places or Instagram in fact you can't really get through Instagram without nowadays without seeing this printer they are playing the ad game hard so there we go look I I scrolled down two posts and it's there there's the ultra print let me try and refresh it just just to prove that that wasn't an odd one out let's see how far we have to scroll before we find out another Ultra print NOP that's secret lab there's got to be another one but the point is they are playing the advertising game really really hard and they are pushing this printer everywhere and typically we ar oh is that it no that's the X tool laser but again I cannot it's so rare that I open up Instagram nowadays or Facebook without seeing an advert for the ultra print now on paper this looks fantastic this has got a lot of great features and I just want to say I'm not going to show the email uh because the email contains my email address and their email address and things like that but what I'm going to do is I'm going to copy the content of the email they sent me my response and then my follow-up responses so it was back on let me have a look uh Ultra print Ultra print Ultra print um someone called Jasmine contacted me saying hi hope this message finds you well and basically I'm not going to copy the name in I'm just going to say Jasmine and this is the content of the email that I got um probably shouldn't have shared that but whatever so I hope this message finds you in great spirits this is jine reaching out from ultr print I'd like to introduce our upcoming Kickstarter campaign Ultra print the affordable 12K 16in Ultra Fast 3D printer and I just want to check I just want to check with everyone this was my first red flag was this email I just want to check with everyone again I'll read the comments afterwards for this video but that isn't ambiguous at all is it they're saying they have a 12K 16-in printer that's what they've said there yeah okay fine okay so uh okay yeah you're fine line and R I will get more uh because I've been on the kickstarter page too fine and I have been keeping an eye on this and I didn't want to cover it but I've had so many questions about the ultra print and so many people jumping on it and I'll get to the point why I'm covering this today yeah exactly resin monkey so 16 inch massive 12K printer so 16 in like the Apex maker X1 it's huge so 16in 12K that's what we've been waiting for there we go so if this is helpful to you guys hit the like button right so you can find the video here so I followed this link and the video they've got up now we'll watch it in a minute the video they've got now is very different to the original video that I watched sorry if you had a bit of the audio there I just I'm going to double check that and do it properly afterwards to make sure that you can actually hear the audio so yeah that's fine so 12K 16in printer right fine okay you've got my attention uh meet ultr print introducing ultr print and affordable 3D printer boasting the Market's fin finest isn't coming across as the best thing anyway as the best stream uh these are last minute for me I don't normally do videos like this but yeah my webcam is oh wow that's fine uh let me have a look at there you go this is smooth at the very least but yeah sorry about the webcam being buggy um I don't know what that is it wasn't working until about 2 minutes before former video um the video came on so I'm at least thankful I'm here anyway moving on so again this is not ambiguous we're talking about a printer that's 16 in its Precision to capture miniature details leads to the creation of Highly to be arrogant just um I can't anything about it now um so here's the key features of the ultra print un hello right can we just confirm that we now have audio sorry about that yeah well at least people are relaxed I can see bars moving up and down on my screen um so please can you confirm can you hear me now can you hear me good I've got a good from James is okay brilliant there we go okay right we're back on track so I don't know where you got up to but basically the long and short of it is the ultra print is saying on this is the email I got they're talking about it being 12K and 16 in but this isn't 12K 16 in it's two different printers the ultra print and The ultr Print Pro so bit misleading Fast Printing speeds large volume this is where they finally reveal that two printers not one then we get to the automated material system it's got Auto feeding and an auto pump fine okay dual dual heating system the Dual heating system simultaneously regulates the temperature of the resin vat and the printing flatform ensuring that the resin remains within the appropriate working temperature range Advanced autoed leveling so it levels itself integrated du dual linear rail it adopts a dual linear rail brilliant yeah great everyone's got a dual linear rail air purification so it's got a carbon filter wow twoin one functionality a post curing function so it cures interesting um yeah exactly resid monkey 16in 12K 19 by 24 microns what it makes no sense it's not right exactly so and then yeah so two in one so not only does it print things it cures them afterwards we'll get on to this user friendly design Ultra print supports Wi-Fi transfer of files providing flexibility in transferring files for your computer to a mobile device wow okay brilliant so it's got you can and again I'm copying this from the email because I don't want to copy anyone's uh I don't want to show anyone's email address so hi Jasmine thanks for reaching out this looks interesting but your email is confusing uh you say this is a 12K 16inch printer but then you say there are two printers the 12K is 10 in and the 16in is only 8K is that correct if so which one of you asking us to look out or is it both also in your video and I'll get onto the video in a minute whoever you've paid for the voice over hasn't done a good job at 20 seconds he says Max printing speed of 200 mm/h and they've changed the video guys so I'll show you the video in a minute but the original video actually had a bit when it said you'll get a speed of 200 mm/h like it was hilarious so I I would warn them about that again I think that's me being helpful and for nothing just saying look guys if you want to Market this properly you might want to look at that but there was also a hilarious bit in in it um later on in the video where they had a little girl's voice doing something I wish I could show you the original video and it was like something like it went daddy will you make will this print make my dreams come true and then there's just a pause and then the guy goes yes like it oh it was so bad it was cringe bad like if they'd released that maybe it did go online but if they released that um they wouldn't have anywhere near as much now because the red flag would have been obvious to everyone but I'm making this video so that everybody it it might have been an AI voice over I I honestly don't know I honestly don't know um but yeah so yeah if your customers see what it says they would laugh at your product I do not charge for my videos I prefer to work on commission do you have an affiliate program where I can earn commission on printer CES if not we can discuss a fee so basically my Approach is as I've said said I don't charge for video work however obviously I want to get paid for what I do so based on I I prefer to work as you can quite clearly see there if I don't do the right job to sell the right product for you guys I don't earn I prefer to work on commission if they don't do that then we can negotiate a fee for my videoing services but it would need to be something which is dependent on how many expect me to sell and we'll negotiate that their response none no response fully memeable I wonder if voice over oh yeah exactly yeah H and it would have been completely anyway so they didn't respond I chased them and chase them and chase them didn't respond I actually thought that this printer was a scam and I thought it was a scam because again if we go back to where did I put Instagram it's here somewhere if we go back to Instagram there it is I'll bring it back up on screen um when you actually have a look at any of the ads they've put on Instagram I'll just refresh it again see if we can see get another one of their ads I should have left it on screen but I didn't realize I was going to make this point but it says like underneath it it'll go 7 or 20 or 36 comments or things like this and then when you actually go to it I'm looking for the ads now when you actually go to it there is an actually any comments there there's no comments and when you enter a comment it looks like you've entered one and then it disappeared so I'd started making comments scam scam scam it looked like a scam right up until the point Jerry from the prin housee told me that he was getting one and I was like oh okay fair enough and it did turn up and I was like oh and well the whole point of this video is you need to go and if you are thinking of buying one of these you need to go and check out his video right let me turn this on so audio input capture let me turn the background audio off let's watch this together introducing ultr print 12K the highest resolution 3D printer on the market today can I just check can everyone hear that so hopefully when I've got audio input capture on ah I need to turn on desktop audio hang on let me just make sure it's doing it yeah okay so you can hear that I can see it um talking so hopefully you're not getting it double um so yeah uh let's fingers crossed you're not getting that at the very least right so we'll go back introducing ultr print 12K the highest resolution 3D printer on the market today no it isn't the highest resolution 3D printer on the market today no it's not every printer on the market today is 12K so no it isn't lie straight up and I know I'm nitpicking in here it's got this handy flip design that makes it super easy to use and the ultra print can go super fast with a Max printing speed of 200 mm hour that was actually the bit in the original video when they said 200 mm/h that was it was hilarious I wish I downloaded it and saved a copy like you did you'd have loved it there is Echo damn it um okay I'm going to have to turn my audio off when this is on bear with me [Music] Ultra print comes in two sizes the 10.1 in version and the 16in version okay so at least they're being clear there's two versions here now in the original in this ad there wasn't though I haven't seen anything on the 16-inch version interesting and it doesn't need any extra parts or assembly the XY pixel is just 19x 24 microns this is all thanks to its 12K max resolution so once again they've just announced that there are two printers there's the 12K and the eight or sorry there's the uh 10 in and the 16 in but now apparently once again it's all 19 by 21 by again absolute rubbish and this cool ball and dual rail design that makes sure every detail of your model is just [Music] right right I want to go back to that bit So for anybody who's watched so does anyone remember we talked about Auto leveling like it's got blah blah Auto leveling all this stuff what are these for a system that auto levels and this made me wonder because obviously any cubic have got the the deal right now where if you get the m5s and it won't auto level they just send you an adjustable bed so people have told me but this one right here made me think well if it's self-leveling why have you got adjustable rails at least in this mechanism in in this format and that's when it clicked this is when it clicked with me does anybody recognize this and this some of you out there have watched my videos and have recently bought you've recently bought a printer based on my recommendations so you should recognize that so let me just bring it up because I didn't prepare it again this video is throw together okay let me have a look uh I need my video um and I don't want you to know which video it is here we go um is it that one right I just need to zoom into a part which shows pretty much the same thing on this video but whilst I'm looking for that does anybody recognize that build plate there we go H wrong bit I scrub to it there we go it's there right here we are so there's the ultra print whoops go back go back sorry about the echo again James has got it that is a satin 3 Ultra exactly the same shape let's just let's let this play again look you've got exactly the same rail system now don't get me wrong here we go that is exactly the same shape that is all the same mechanism even down to the ball screw in the back so at this point when I noticed that in the video I thought that's a satin 3 Ultra with a different chassis on it that is just a satin 3 Ultra let me see can I make this bigger there you go that is not only that it's the same print bed so the ultra print 12K to me looks like nothing more than than a satin 3 Ultra with a different chassis put over it they've machined a different chassis to to add these features and then again Jerry said no I've got one I've got one and I was like what's the UI like what's the UI and so again we'll go from there so let me just Rego and again look I get it like it's not uncommon that 3D printer companies share Parts it's not so it is possible that that these parts from eligo are bought by elu and maybe are in a range of printers but I haven't seen this before this obviously in a resin system it happens all the time in fdm but in resin sharing the build plate The Zed rail what looks like I mean I'd love to get one just to take it apart but it looks like it's exactly the same printer with a different chassis on it we'll keep going through the video that make sure every detail of your model is just [Music] right it also allows for easy Wireless file sharing through Wi-Fi and works well with a wide range of resin materials to make sure your prints go smoothly the ultra print has this automatic material feeding system that prevents any I want to point out that they said automatic material resin system we'll come back to thatting errors from happening it also has a dual heating system and controls the resin temperature keeping it stable while you're printing okay sorry for the pauses guys but I've got to double click so you're not getting an echo right so the let me just talk about Heating systems um straight away there are three types of heating system in resin printers now obviously any heating system is better on a printer than not having one at all especially now as we head into winter but there are three common types that I've seen uh the first one is this one which I'll come back to in a minute which is basically it heats the chamber within which the system uh within which everything is printed it heats the chamber the second one is uniformation which is I would say the second most efficient way of doing it they heat the chamber below the resin so that the heat goes through the LCD and actually heats up the resin from the bottom upwards into the chamber because it's that resin at the bottom of the vat that needs to be heated because that's what's being cured um and then there's um a heated resin bat so far I've only seen one of those on the Apex maker X1 it's really really good um you know I don't like I don't like my experience with the Apex maker company and the team but the printer is really really good and I stand by however that that heating system in the bat is brilliant because that heats up the resin now what you don't want is when you have a your resin heated you don't want your cured model to be heated because it can cause deformation anybody who's use resin for any amount of time will know that resin goes soft when it's warm so if your model is too warm then what happens is as it pulls away from the plate it can bend and warp and flex and other parts can do it this is right right at the top of the chamber so as soon as that starts pumping heat in it's pumping Heat at the model and the last part of that chamber that heats up to temperature is the resin at the bottom of your vat so they're good again it's better than not having one because it means you'll still be able to print but you're more likely to get warping issues in if you've got really low temperature environment and the the heat is having to come on more it's obviously doing more work heating up the chamber more heating up resin model more so yeah it exists but it's not the best way of doing it this helps the resin adhere better and prevents it from coming loose prematurely furthermore it minimizes thermal stress and deformation throughout the printing process ensuring consistent stability in the shape and size of the printed model this allows for a unified parameter for printing regardless of the Season ultr print also includes a built-in air purification system creating a safe and and healthy printing environment by purifying odors emitted during the 3D printing process after printing you can simply press a button and it automatically retrieves leftover materials okay again you have to press a button for it to automatic I don't think those two words are really I mean yeah you can use them together but there's a bit of a grammatical error there um but no if you have to manually press the button that isn't then automatically retrieving the resin it's not doing it automatically automatic is is an automation process where an action is performed as a reaction to another this that this isn't automation but okay fine yeah again yeah healthy I forgot that bit Yeah the the resin the carbon filter keeps it healthy whatever guys anyway let's just finish this video quick eliminating the need for manual resin removal allowing you to work handsfree moreover Ultra print integrates both Printing and curing functions so it prints and it cures interesting yeah okay fine so the printer not only prints the model it also cures the model now again I'm going to point at Jerry's review Jerry from the pr house I recommend you all go and watch that video after this if you haven't if I haven't put it in the description I had a bit of an issue and I ended up starting a private um stream for some reason um and it was in that description but if it's not in the description I will link to Jerry's video if you are looking at buying the ultra print you have to watch the the review by the print house because on it right two things one it it's not he put a post up saying um I'm worried this is too negative I've watched the review thoroughly and it isn't negative it's incredibly Fair like if this if the reason why he posted that is he did a social post the other day a community post saying um he had some feedback from uh ultraprint saying they don't want him to post the video like wow that's that's worrying they when a company doesn't want you to post the video that's concerning now I was asked not to post a video by creality as as many of you know the the mage and they said look can you not do it and I said well look you can't say I I would have taken it down if they'd resolved the issue and then gone back up but they'd had that video for a week and decided to watch it two hours before it went live and I just said no it's too late now I need need content for this week but these guys are like no no don't watch the video and pretty much they've made him feel like like crap um about this video and actually I've watch the video and it's incredibly fair so um yeah hok it cures from the bottom I'm not sure what you're asking but again I'm hoping you're chatting amongst yourselves I'm trying not to watch the chat so I can get through uh this video again Jerry has not in any way been negative on his video he's tried to be as positive as he can and yeah he's he's probably gone on a bit long about the the printer exploding and come on we all have drama in some YouTube videos but yeah the printer blew up on him the Transformer went pop for whatever reason um it happens and it sounds like he had a bit of an ordal stripping it down to rebuild it and he's done a separate video on that which you can watch if you're interested but definitely watch his full review of The ultr Print 12K especially if you're backing it because I'm sorry um one of the things that I have a lot of support for and a lot of thanks for on this channel is my Integrity as a reviewer and it's one of the things that I cannot be wavering I you know it's got to be unwavering because the second I start you know doing things selling out is the second I lose the entire audience that I've that I've grown um so yeah you know I have no problem uh you know telling you when a printer is crap which is why I'm doing this video now because again massive red flags I could be wrong hands up I could be completely wrong I just don't think I am but again it's got an integrated C integrated curing function but again Watch Jerry's review because as he quite rightly points out there's no washing function so yeah I suppose you can wash in like a pickle jar or something like that but if you get a wash station then you will also oh thank you so much black Hall Moon thank you for becoming a member really appreciate it thank you so much um but yeah um as he's pointed out as soon as you get a wash station well that's got a cure station in it so we'll have a flick through in a minute enhancing both time and cost efficiency this sorry I just need to say apparently the the wash station enhances time and cost efficiency to that all I can say is shut them but seriously is the ultr print 12K turning your creative ideas into reality by making big and Incredibly realistic Models All right so that's the ultra print 12K which actually is two printers one of which is not 12K but they're not wanting to tell you that they're not clear about that when you actually have a look at the pledges as well it is full of misinformation and random things going off so let's have a look at the content that's been put out there so far so I've watched both of these uh first off we've got um this channel here so um I'm just going to turn oh the sounds off that's fine so Steve makes everything um yeah he's been quite positive on the printer and his experience however having a look through his content he isn't typically like he's a maker and he seems like a very good and well accomplished maker um with some of the things he's done but this honestly seems like the first ever resin printer he's had looking or at the very least um looking at what he reviews he's a CNC guy so he's had a few like engravers and stuff like that fdm printers it looks like um but I'm I'm certainly he's not an experienced resin printer reviewer it seems or at the very least it's not the e focus of his channel so that's fine if your experience is like his then definitely back him and follow him as somebody to relate to if you can relate to his experience to yours he's the reviewer you should be watching and that's fine but yeah um that's one review let's go back how do I go back uh is that back back there we go back can I go back here no oh what have I done uh f11 I was trying to fully full screen this oh it's cuz it's a new tab right so um and then the other one is honey badger I actually saw these guys at the weekend uh didn't even realize it until I'd walked past them um so James and Mike who run this channel um and I didn't actually I was like I know your face I know your face and the problem is when you go to so many conventions you're like I know him I know him but I don't want to walk up and say I know him because I might not know him it might just be somebody who looks like somebody I saw in the supermarket one time um but yeah um as soon as they left uh I think they left around midday um from the um rep rap Festival we were at at the weekend the San Mortimer Festival which was fantastic by the way met some great people and but it was when they left around lunchtime I saw the back of their jackets and I was like oh it's honey badra I should have gone up and said hi but we kept locking eyes on on I'm like I know you was quite weird but yeah so but yeah so let's have a look um so yeah honey badger again they again I can't fa them they don't really talk too much about the printer itself and what it does because this is just an unboxing video and like me what they talk about is the features look exciting yes they do right so let's have a quick nosy then at Jerry's video so I'm going to skip through a lot of this so has simultaneously caused me the most grief out of any printer I have ever I'm not going to go through the video but I am just going to go through um uh I am just going to go through a couple of bits that I want to call out so let's talk about straight away so they they emailed me telling me that it was clearly clearly I'm sure you can all agree clearly with marketing saying we've got a 12K 16inch printer no it isn't when you look at its two printers uh one of which nobody seems to have touched yet um when you look at it up close it looks very much like it's a satin 3 Ultra with a separate frame on it um and we'll go through Jerry's thing in a minute which which kind of leads into that um and even their marketing on the the actual um on the actual Kickstarter itself again is very unclear with one's 8K one's 12K it's almost like small print it's like they're trying to get you and this is something that it oh it frustrates me it really frustrates me when people have practice like this so let's just do Jerry's intro but please please this guy Jerry has more Integrity than well this this video proves that he is somebody whose opinion you can trust is real okay and I I he 100% I'm backing him on this review because I would say this is 100% accurate I already like his stuff he isn't the most experienced res in guy I've done a lot more than him um in resin but he's the fdm guy so I often go to him for help with fdm printers and we do actually have a collab coming up soon so I'm being completely open and honest with you guys um Jerry is somebody who I would consider not only a competitor and a and a colleague within this hobby but to a degree a friend but 100% I have his back and if I I wouldn't be this close to him I wouldn't speak um to him as much as I do and I wouldn't recommend him as much as I do if I didn't trust and believe in him so let's have a quick scan through some of the key parts of his video against the features of this printer wow this Ultra print 12K has simultaneously caused me the most grief out of any printer I have ever owned while also being really a fairly pleasant experience to use and that is because the ultra print print 12K quite literally exploded in this studio right here and thank goodness that it didn't cause a fire but it's been a really pleasant experience because besides that this just is a beautiful printer and the results that come off of it are just stunning okay so straight up he says it exploded yeah it exploded fine that happens he does have a separate video going on about it a bit much in my opinion I don't know if that was content that was needed um again I I've as an engineer who's fixed laptops and PCs I've seen more than my fair share of uh PSU explosions but it sounded like they actually needed him to do some soldering to fix it which is above and beyond what anybody what any company should ask anybody to do customer or experienced user or anything like that it should not happen so I'm just going to mute him and flick through so he unbooked but we can see at the beginning I'm just going to flick through but we can see um from the beginning he was quite Fair he said this was a pleasure to use it was great and the results are fantastic bear in mind as we've talked about it there are two printers there's the ultra print and the ultra Print Pro this is the ultra print which is 12K the pro is 8k which basically sounds like it's a reboxed Apex maker X1 that's the only other 16in LCD printer I know of so let's talk about the features right so the UI because I said it looked like a Saturn before the UI on here is completely different and as he's he's pointed out it looks exactly like his Apex maker X1 even the image there in system settings looks like a render of the Apex maker X1 which is a little bit weird um yeah exactly sorry um uh uh kale Kylie Chambers um yeah it is scary when something goes pop it is um I I'm not a fan of it um for at least a millisecond to a second you think you're dead um you know you you know especially when you get the blue flash with it you're like oh God that's scary so yeah um so we had that but yeah that UI is identical to the Apex maker X1 so I don't know if they've managed to you know get one of their builds if they've taken their build if this is an open platform for um doing 3D printer uis no idea don't understand it but despite the build plate and the form factor and the size and everything looking like a satin 2 the UI is a satin 3 Ultra sorry the UI is doesn't look like a satin 3 Ultra but it does look exactly like an apex maker X1 so they're talking about um Innovations and notable features um again please please have a look at this he talks about the heater chamber he talks about the things I've just mentioned it's not the most efficient and you can actually cause warping uh um on the models yep he's completely right about that um when hot air pumps at a cured model it can warp um and ultr plank claims there's also bottom heating on the 12K which is amazing this is not a feature I was aware of during testing nor am I familiar how to operate it interesting let me see um if he's got the image though so how does the heating work well this is the bit that makes me think that this is once again a satin 3 Ultra in sheep's clothing because the controls for the heating system aren't built into the UI they're on the back of the printer that is a separate device so again this looks like again it looks like it's a satin 3 Ultra in all but name with its own chassis on it that they've built a heater into rather than it's not integrated with the software it's not integrated with the U UI or the user experience let me see if I can get an image of the back um might be any somewhere it goes through the user interface WiFi no uses normal slices and things like that I can't quite see it it'll be in here but watch the review but you can actually see there are controls on the back of the printer for on the back of the printer unit the housing for the heater it's completely separate to the printer and then there's the next thing which is the automated automated remember the automated filling mechanism um well the automated filling mechanism let me have a look uh no we'll get onto that he's he actually labels them there we go so he labels them here let me play this bit so here we go so you've got three buttons so you flick the pump in yourself fine but obviously when you flick it out um you're going to um get resin all over the inside of that so green is pump resin in blue is pump resin out or Reco resin now it won't stop when the bottles fall it'll just be out because the third button is stop and that's it so whether it's pumping in or out It Stop So once again this is a feature that's not part of the printer or the software this is yet another part of the system which they've built onto the back chassis it's completely independent from the rest of the printer mechanics this this is looking the more I look at this like am I the only one there are 131 people watching now please tell me if I'm being over dramatic but does this or does this not look dodgy as hell like in all seriousness the way they've marketed it and been misleading about the 8K 12K and the size that's not good that's a red flag um the fact that again the the the chassis or the mechanics the resin pump the Z screw the build plate the build plate that is apparently self-leveling has leveling screws on it um are all from the Satan 3 Ultra and all of the extra features bar the UI being different all of the extra features are completely independent of the of the printer and this is why I wasn't going to cover this printer I was just going to leave it but I thought you know what like there are this many people spending money on it and that many people asking me do I think that this is a good printer I just had to go honestly it like yeah like if you're new to Printing and you don't know better then yes like if you know you you wouldn't know better you'd go off the specs and like I said we've already seen one review who somebody who inexperienced uh use it is fine is is like yeah it's fine it works so I suppose with all that being said let's try and just like look look at this objectively now to me it raises a ton of red flags an absolute ton I'm like this seems dodgy and cheap to the point where it's less about Innovation there you go aha so there's the heating control on the back of the printer that I mentioned while we were playing through so again it's and not only is it on the back of the printer but well not only is it not part of the printer but how the hell are you going to get to the back of a printer when it's full of resin easily without slashing it round and get to those controls like it's cheap even the Wi-Fi even the Wi-Fi antenna is on the right hand side next to the power socket exactly the same place it is on the sattin 3 Ultra so again um it is a bit thing so I'm just going to play let Jerry's video play through here um and then we get to the curing station and again the curing station is not a curing station it's basically so you put two things on so you put a lid over the vat which you plug into it's basically got some power takeoff terminals on the back left side just under the vent um uh just under the vent uh hole the um for the carbon filter um and one thing Powers there and then it basically spins a table and then you get a a magnetic UV lamp that just magnetizes to the back of the chassis and that goes off the other power takeoff terminal but yeah so all around like the features alone are fine up until the point where you've got the ability to print and you've got the ability to print and you've got the ability to cure but you don't have the ability to wash like they haven't done that so you need to use a pickle jar or something if that's okay um but I ideally I'd say you need to wash more than than that there that sort of thing so fine for an all-in-one solution don't get me wrong it does the job it it does it will print it'll print at 12K especially if it's a satin 3 Ultra clone it will print some of the best quality Miniatures out there brilliant um but the way they've done the design it just it looks so mish mash and hobbled together and yeah so that that's kind of my view of it so I suppose yes it will work it will work um and yeah they can certainly get these features in a machine but I suppose my warning is the way they've gone about it does not seem like an integrated tidy solution it looks like they've crammed a load of things into an existing product and it's seems a little bit mcgyver to me it's it's janky it's suspicious and again I don't like repeating myself but I don't have a big enough vocabulary red flags everywhere this isn't like all this access wire Market but I don't know who digital Journal are the the buil-in air purification system guarantees a safer working environment by purifying oders emitted during printing session does it what s what sets ultr print 12K apart is not just performance but its intelligence completely disagree um there is no intelligence here there okay there is to a I can't build one of these but it's certainly not like a bamboo printer the way they've done it it's very odd it is literally what they've done is whether whether they've just bought a load of shelless Saturn three Ultras or whether they've somehow got access to the manufacturing plant and are buying the parts and doing some bits themselves this is a satin 3 Ultra that they've cobbled some other bits on and it's nasty 459 for a Kickstarter special normally 729 I think are they still there so you can potentially get one yeah that seems like a good price what's that early birds Kickstarter special anywhere in the world World save 270 are they gone doesn't look like they're gone so what's the difference between the 10.1inch 12K let's have a look 10.1 in 12K what I don't get are the hang on 43 backers there are 12 of those left right that's that's weird isn't it so there's one left maybe somebody's backed out of that Kickstarter special so snap it up guys if you want it quick um there are 11 left here even though people have bought the more expensive one super early burden that's the I don't get it maybe oh that's the wash and cure bundle isn't it anyway I'm not here to go through all of them but yeah um let's have a look uh Kylie Chambers I have the 24hour early bird Ultra Print Pro so that's the big one is it Kylie let's go through let's just do some quick chat to finish off the video because I was just going to do a 20 minute one so Kylie um no custom charge to be fair leis the there aren't Customs Chargers normally in the price so uh yeah K Kaye sorry Kaylee if I'm not pronouncing you right K AE k k l i Ki Kay Ki um Chambers so you you've got the 24-hour early bird Ultra Print Pro so was it clear to you that that was an 8K 16in printer yeah yeah yeah you've pledged it yeah I I I hear you so but yeah oh Lewis you've cancelled it oh okay right oh sorry right so I'd never thought of that right so the reason why sorry that looked dodgy so the reason why that there are pledges where people have pledged a higher amount even though there are others available is possibly because of this video uh Kaylee got it thank you Kaylee um so yeah possibly because of this video warning people and I don't want to do this I don't want to on companies who are trying to make a good printer but again the way they approached me with with the absolute BS when I I didn't even call them out on it I just said look please can you clarify it to me what what is it is it 8K or 12K just make sure I'm reading this right um no response and also when I told them and this is the bit when I told them that um I don't charge I have a suspicion that they looked at that as going ah then we can't buy him because I'll be honest guys look I won't say who because I don't know who but there are reviews out there where the review is paid for and you cannot you cannot in a review they'll they'll give you a contract that you have to sign um they'll give you a contract that you cannot say anything negative about the product and the the one time I've done that was with a preview and you know what it is and when it is and I am strongly considering now that I've got um the non preview printer doing a review of that product uh separately and I probably should when I've got the time but the point of it is the the approach of um there are people out there who we will pay you to do the review and they do have control of the video now anyone who says my opinion is my own I trust them I'll I will trust them until proven wrong um but again it makes me think and there's a few companies who've never gotten back to me after after I've told them I don't charge for my reviews I just need the printer in order to do the video because at the end of the day YouTube pays me like I get paid with YouTube ads or when you buy a printer that pays me I don't need them to pay me to make the video because it it keeps me honest it keeps me I have to work hard to work with you to to inform you properly in order for you to buy and to support me by clicking My Links that's how it works for me and it makes me worry that some of these some of these videos from smaller companies are bought um so once again my hats off to Jerry for maintaining his Integrity for this video and I implore you all to go and watch his review especially if you are if you are a backer please go and watch Jerry's video because um it is 100% honest it is 100% clear it is not unfair it is not negging on this printer he is bed and you'll see you will see that he is not being um in any way unfair to this product he is literally sitting there going there's some things I don't get I had a problem with it but I fixed it and that isn't something that anyone should experience nor is it something that anyone probably will experience you won't get one that blows up and if you do they're not going to ask you to solder it I don't think that's a reasonable thing uh for anyone to expect um saying that they could but what this looks like is and again I'm only talking about the small 12K version because they again they they very I don't know deliberately perhaps mention very little about their large 16inch one I haven't seen one in the wild yet I don't know anyone who's got one and even their marketing doesn't actually show one they talk about it but from what I can tell they may not be nothing more than renders or prototype shells but this looks suspiciously like a satin 3 Ultra with a shell and some features tacked on that aren't actually going that are difficult to use the heater with the controls at the back and could actually warp your prints rather than help that's a thing right I'm going to finish up shortly but let's H just get on to the chat so I was talking to Kaylee uh I'll go back up to her and I'll read from there so uh let's have a look there should be a way I can pin things uh so early birds uh you said you had the early bird uh rle skin skin I hope the temperature controller isn't controlling two PTC heaters because they are only rated for 10 amps no idea I don't I mean it looks like two separate heating elements based on what it is unless there's one heating element and ducting but that back plate doesn't look like there's enough space we got closeup on the heating element let's have a look there we go uh not the best close-up but it does look like that is a a heat sink fan or the the grill of a heater so that does look like two heating elements and oh look you get 50° 50° pumped out here and it's 30 in the chamber and the last thing to be heated is the resin although the resin looks let's have a [Music] look how how is the resin how is the resin and I mean maybe they're right I can't I can't imagine sorry I need to turn that off I can't imagine this is doctored so it looks like there is some kind of heating element below the printer as well however as Jerry pointed out there's no way to control that so there we go um so yeah Lou said it was him who cancelled and I again sorry leis I I just again it looks junky mate um I I wouldn't touch this like at all I hope I do get one so I can be proven wrong I hope I'm wrong uh for those who people who do end up getting one I think the ELO saent is based on a chitu systems barebone design possibly um I've not seen such a system at hok so yeah maybe it was maybe it is that um let's have a look sha I just bought the s Ultra influenced by my review uh I joined this late literally thought it was a Saturn at first yeah there you go um moving on pavl says hello I have a question uh does carbon filters like the two andall the SAT 3 Ultra uh remove voc's H not from what I can tell now it's just the smells uh P says the filter Do's next to nothing for VCS yeah rle still skins got it right based on the testing I did have a look at the elu Mars mate review for uh the way I did the testing on that but again I could be wrong um let's have a look Kaye says it was clear to me so it was clear to you as you skimmed the written stuff and looked at the image so it was clear to you that you were getting an 8K printer when you backed the pro let's have a look at the pro y it does say they're 16inch 8K I just don't like the way they've approached it everywhere else uh Sergeant house I'm not calling them out I'm just pointing out some issues that are 100% valid thank you Sergeant house appreciated um and then Kaye you went back I do that that's fine I mean the good thing is like when you pledge early up um you can edit your pledge down and lose out so the very least is that um uh USA like what libertarian sounds like go GW don't know what you mean sorry uh butches basement I appreciate your honesty I don't think they're trying to produce a great printer they're cobbling something together out of existing parts to make money I completely agree that's what this seems like it doesn't seem like this is a established 3D printing company it doesn't seem like this is a good idea it seems like a mismash MacGyver throw together piece of equipment and I don't like the way that they've approached this to look so professional when this looks janky as hell and will I do a Starfield review no I missed out on the Starfield review they emailed me once again the email ended up in spam uh I never checked it when I went back to them they'd already sent out all of their review copies uh but they have said as soon as more come up they are going to get me one um I'd love to do a Starfield review um and I'll print some Starfield stuff on it so yeah that's it uh Kaye Chambers some videos uh there some videos from them and some from the large one shown on the Expo photos I haven't seen any videos of the large one anywhere Kaye at all um I've seen photos um but yeah I've not seen oh I suppose at least yeah you saying that it's not a render fair enough then um no youro Joe says good day everyone Hi no youro Joe Kelly Chambers the res temp show the T same temp as the holes yeah exactly it's quite weird um so there must be some heating element underneath so I don't know um that's one of the things I've asked about uh no sorry man I'll get the SAT three yeah good call Lis I i' personally I just wouldn't support this company I wouldn't and that's not just me being sore cuz they never got back to me by all means if you disagree with me go ahead go ahead and buy it please disagree with me I'm not right all the time um I don't know that I'm right about this one I'm just worried about it and I don't want to be accused of not saying the right things and voicing my concerns and you guys end up getting a printer you uh you don't like yeah good call LS get the ultra um let's have a look could be they closed the chamber and let it preheat for a while which then the base and that would be residual heat I suppose I don't know how fast I've never really thought to do the test I don't know if like resin holds on to heat long but yeah I suppose yeah because as soon as you open the chamber the air will cool won't it so yeah interesting um J in my opinion a washing cure station is way better separate yeah completely agreed um I don't like this integrated I mean it it's just a an ass to connect it all up together but maybe you've got limited space and that's good for you in which case this could be the right thing for you um I'm not saying that it's it I'm not saying that it hasn't got valid features I'm saying the way it's been put together just no no no no um and bad marketing not bad marketing outright BS Marketing in some ways like they've not lied about things but this is such a bend in so many ways uh leou no need to preheat anyway my house is always at 22 to 25 degrees in winter you lucky bugger I am freezing today rle stillin says the resin is probably reflecting the infrared that's why it appears to be the same temperature is that yeah no I it can't be um star hoof says o Starfield do we not like it I I don't know I want to have a look at it um it's a big bugger and it's an exciting booger so I want to have a look or are you having a wind about Starfield the game I quite like Starfield um em Peter my S3 Ultra I told you I wasn't always right I like Starfield um em Peter says my S 3 ult was shipped today thankfully the stream caused no buyers remorse in me um yeah no worries mate one is happy to be of service right with um that in mind I just want to say thank you thank you for anyone who's watching uh for those people who watch this after the live stream sorry that this isn't in my usual format but I just wanted to get out there and say uh and basically give you my two cents on this printer if you are considering backing it you must must check out Jerry's review um to make sure it's the right choice for you it is a very fair review it's a very good review it is not um negative it is not in any way negative he comes out he does his best to to show his balance in this and there are things that excite him there are things he likes so I would definitely say go and watch that review um take my video with a pinch of salt I haven't got hands on with one I'm just ranting because again seems dodgy as hell but definitely definitely check out
