Better than a Tshirt? Pigeon Forge Gem Mine 2021

let's see if we can find us some fancy gems i've often said what's better than a t-shirt a lot of people reply what about love as the t-shirt guy who loves his wife who better to attempt to answer that very question the pigeon forged gem mine was one of the very first dates mindy and i went on here's some pictures of chris and mindy when they went to the pigeon forge gym mine from way back in 1999 how young they look there you can definitely tell that chris is trying to impress mindy because he's wearing long sleeves and pants look at that but yeah it was my first time ever gem mining mindy had been a couple of times but you know we'd only been dating for a couple of months it was a lot of fun [Music] look at how young those two kids were [Music] what do you think we'll find i was mean to getting your fortune told [Music] this is fun i open at 10. hello the way it works now is you pick out the bucket based on the type of stones you want to find the one or two types of stones listed on the each bucket are what you'll find the most of but there's basically a mix of everything in each bucket for this trip mindy and i picked out the 35 bucket which is the cheapest we got the emerald and aqua marine [Music] bucket [Music] so [Music] they have bigger buckets they're more expensive but you get more guaranteed in them they seem to have a good variety of what's inside plus some of them come with things like free cuttings the most expensive one i saw was two hundred dollars as you can see some of these bigger buckets have guaranteed stuff on top so you can kind of see some of the stuff you're getting wendy's gonna find us some fancy gems only two just bring back any memories yeah there's almost nothing in there i remember that being the case yeah i'm pretty sure that's something don't tell anybody i got some emotions i got something in there i don't know if it's good enough get one more scoop [Music] you ready i don't think so i think i saw something in that story aquamarine yeah emerald and aquamarine i think what it i think there's a big one in there now oh man oh well i'm not completely sure i think that's some kind of quartz but it could be though i think i said anything could be in it yeah it's a there's just one pretty i mean it was guaranteed or two i don't know that that's really anything that will keep it [Applause] um [Music] [Applause] you just put your bag in my bag probably should oh i don't know if i have quarters i do put some more quarters in the car all right there you go [Music] huh i do i love amber [Music] it's one of my favorite stones for real maybe some jewelry [Music] [Music] got the fossils in here i love fossils [Music] oh oh that's cool oh man [Music] man i've always got that [Music] go um tailpipes on there a little sapphire [Music] is another little emerald there and the rest of these are going to be your noodles at home with this to help you out okay so we can actually take these gems and have them cut and polished into stones like this or set into jewelry is that something you'll be interested in looking into what could they do if you wanted to have it set we do pendants earrings and rings and then start at 49 earrings 65 and then our rings at 74. that one too yeah it's not an emerald cup but it's pretty yeah we're gonna get that one right there this is left and loaded yeah it's good actually it was a good fish oh no all right guys as you saw mindy found us some fancy grab bags you know how much we love grab bags i got me a boy's grab bag wendy picked out a girl's grab bag are you sure you don't want the girls you've worn more makeup than me lately that is true i'm deceiving okay are you gonna open first i guess i'll open first okay go for it all right guys let's see what we got here i'm excited got a pouch it's like a keychain pouch this is a keychain pouch yeah looks like you put like little stones and stuff in it that's fun that's feathers that's like a dream catcher thing going on i'll check it out in a minute oh got a keychain of a stone that's nice i gotta oh that's nice across necklace i think on some of my size it's more of a choker huh it'd be kind of tight yeah i think it's more boys than a men's grab bag huh yeah oh that's cool is that like a bear oh yeah it's a bear it's a bear necklace you guys like that can you see the bear pendant on there look at various stones nice oh man i love stones these are polished and beautiful show you guys these are awesome these little sliver ones we got these i like this green i need to get out that guide and see what i got here because they're various stones this one's cool the markings on this oh yeah that was a fun grab bag i too received a pouch that's cool and a blue bracelet nice and a keychain of i guess like a dolphin oh that has like stones on each side that's neat actually i like that that's some fun jewelry and a ring ooh it's like a beaded ring i put a ring on it yep it actually will like let's expand so and then a purple bracelet that's sweet and a handful of stones another ring oh that's cool you got a lot of stuff in yours i know it's a pretty ring too cause girls roll in boys drool is that what it is and then here's all the pretty stones i think my stones are better than yours too here show them i like them you guys see these stones okay it's very pretty i like this one the color is in this thing that's nice so yeah i'm pretty happy with this is a fun grab bag i'll put my stones in that little pouch if you guys get a brad bag there let us know what you got below these rocks are so shiny i don't want to touch them get my fingerprints on them are we going to put our stones in our top and our pouch now i can carry my stones that i received around with me wherever i go i like that if you ever see chris out and about ask him to see his stone pouch i'm sure he'll have it with him it's a dream catcher too which is cool [Laughter] it's really cool though it was fun though you guys know we love grab bags around here are crazy for them actually i wonder if i can kind of link these two necklaces together to actually fit maybe it's just the things are gonna be it's more of a boys size i think cause all very fun i highly highly recommend grab bags yes i do too okay i guess should i hook it first and then let me put it over here because it's big enough now okay i can just loop it over there it doesn't want to hook there so i'm going to leave that to you because you might perhaps have magic touch all right okay perfect that way i can choose you can choose which it'll be what'll it be today this day or the bear day let's go pick up this ring and see what it looks like i'm excited i know mindy's excited to see this ring this camel's excited too to see it oh yeah it's wide open now yeah yeah yeah the openness is more like what we experienced before in the past you excited to see what this looks like yes i think it's going to be very pretty nice fancy ring i know let's see what we got ready yes oh wow look at that sparkle that is very pretty some aquamarine aquamarine just think that beautiful ring we were over there mining for it the other day and now here we are that's beautiful though seriously thank you not as beautiful as you though all right so as you guys saw mindy got some pretty cool jewelry and she got something else really cool that we just showed you that was a lot of fun um as we said that was one of our very first dates it was probably either the second or third week we were dating maybe maybe a couple of months after we started dating actually because of the clothes i'm wearing i don't know but i don't think we've been dating very long at all when we went there that was a lot of fun though and it was fun to go back and relive it and as you guys saw we got some cool stuff in the grab bag we got some cool stuff all these stones and maybe one day we'll have to polish them the rock tumbler i think is what you use yeah it's fun it's not tumble yes mindy's done it before but i never got to so it'd be fun to try sometime it was definitely a fun video though take me down memory lane with this beautiful woman and all these years later we've been still together i guess i guess must have been the gemstones it must have been the gemstones all right i guess that wraps it up guys we do appreciate you watching if you've ever been
