video and speaking of which let's jump right into it so there are a lot of questions in regards to how solid got certain items that fully flesh out his Saul Goodman Persona during the end of episode 609 after Kim left Jimmy which pushed him into the full-on Saul mode for years to come now since Kim left not only Jimmy and everything related to their cons but also her life in Albuquerque as a whole including her life as a lawyer Kim never accepted any Sandpiper money leaving it all to Saul as we heard in episode 6 12 when Kim was at Saul's office signing their divorce papers hey I gotta tell you I think you're going to regret not taking your share of the Sandpiper money although we never actually see Saul except the Sandpiper money it's implied that when he did it helped pay for a ton of Saul Goodman's things that are iconic to his character going into the Breaking Bad timeline first off it's implied that Saul used the Sandpiper money to purchase the Breaking Bad mansion that we see him living in at the end of 609 along with finalizing the renovations to his office that finally turned it into the famous Cathedral of justice Office that we all know and love from Breaking Bad speaking of Saul's office although we never see him outright purchase the Statue of Liberty blow up that stands tall on his roof the show definitely implies how he acquired it we saw the Cattlemen's with it during episode 602 so I assume that after Saul got the Sandpiper money as he was finalizing the renovations to his office he remembered the blow up that the kettleman's had and went back to their office one final time to purchase it from them although it's possible that Saul just bought it off of them for a large sum I can only imagine how this confrontation would have went down after the way that game scared them in 602 as we learned from that altercation sometimes Saul using the carrot method on the kettleman's isn't always is enough and that you need to grow a backbone and use the stick method on them in order to get them to do what you want I assume that when Saul went to go purchase the Statue of Liberty inflatable from them he could either double down on Kim's threats to them in 602 and or bribe them with the idea that as long as they sell him their Statue of Liberty inflatable he'll leave them alone from now on finally cutting ties with them once and for all I could see the Kettleman selling the inflatable for enough money dangled in front of them but that they'd also want some assurances that's Saul and or Kim would never bother them for anything again another thing that Saul Goodman must have bought with the Sam hyper money is his flashy white 97 Cadillac Deville that he drives around in during Breaking Bad which we see as of the 609 Flash Forward it's interesting how Kim planted the seeds in the season 6 premiere for what Saul would eventually turn into including the cathedral Justice Office along with Saul driving a flashy car only for Kim to not be around in his life anymore by the time that he actually accomplishes them don't you think Saul Goodman would drive something with a little more flare and Saul Goodman has a Cathedral of Justice oh a Cathedral of Justice okay yeah what do you think pretty great right yeah it's um yep we always wondered how solid get his Cadillac with fan theories arising around season five or the idea that maybe Saul was given it as a gift from wallow and or the cartel in general due to being a cartel lawyer in season five especially after seeing that cartel Stash House near the end of the season where the twins picked up Lolo's bail money from along with seeing it again when Lalo and nacho went there to get gifts for Donald audio during a deleted scene from the season 5 finale obviously now we know that none of that ever came true as Saul just purchased it for himself with the Sandpiper money just kind of funny how for years throughout the run at Better Call Saul we all speculated on and wondered how Saul would eventually acquire his Breaking Bad office car Etc when in reality it was mostly all explained away off screen another example of this is calderas coded criminal contact book which we know Saul eventually acquires as we saw it left in his Breaking Bad mansion and being thrown out during the 601 Flash Forward we see it during episode 606 and yet given exposition of Caldera selling it to the highest bidder due to retiring from the game and we also get teased that inside the book is at the disappear his contact card now just like with the Statue of Liberty inflatable we see the origins of it knowing that one day it'll be solves we don't actually see him acquire it on screen and instead just jump forward after he already has it this goes without saying but it's implied that after Saul gets the Sandpiper money goes back to Caldera and purchases his coded contact book which explains how Saul not only got at the disappears contact card but also how Saul took over caldera's job as the main criminal contact connection within the Albuquerque criminal underworld although some viewers may be disappointed that we don't actually see Saul acquiring all these things I agree with the writers in regard to it not being necessary to show on screen I think that the creators did a great job setting up obvious hints as to how Saul acquires these items and just lets the audience put two and two together to figure out by ourselves as actually showing Saul going to buy these items such as the inflatable the Cadillac or caldera's book could be considered a waste of screen time when we can already figure out what happened for ourselves next up I want to discuss a few teaser trailers that never actually came to fruition during the final season of Better Call Saul the first trailer in question is the pre-season 6 Gene teaser showing a bounty for salt Goodman for 5 million dollars as Jane walks by and rips off the poster since all the other posters on this billboard are about Albuquerque this teaser implied the idea that Gene would be going back to Albuquerque to conclude some mysteriously unfinished business along with the fact that this very billboard could have even been in some sort of police or DEA office and ever since we first saw the teaser we debated on whether or not it was even Canon now that the show's fully over we can save confidence that we never actually see this scene of Gene taking down a wanted poster of himself in the show or anything that even alludes to it although Gene does end up going back to Albuquerque by the end of the show it's not by choice and not undercover as we know Gene gets arrested and brought back to Albuquerque to go to court by force and it wasn't part of any pre-planned diabolical schemes that Gene has also the 5 million dollar Bounty never comes into play during the show with one of the main creators Tom schnaus even confirming on Twitter that Gene never had a 5 million bounty on him in the show implying that this teaser trailer is in fact non-canon the second teaser trailer that I wanted to discuss which never comes to fruition is a 608 teaser trailer that we got during the season 6 mid-season break this was of course right after the 607 Cliffhanger of Lalo killing Howard and holding Jimmy and Kim hostage in their apartment the 608 teaser in question shows a candle flickering with Howard's blood on it while we hear dialogue of Kim speaking as she's being sworn in as a lawyer I Kimberly wechsler do solemnly swear that as an attorney and as a counselor of this court I will conduct myself uprightly and according to law I will maintain civility at all times and abstain from all offensive personality due to this we all figured that we'd be getting a Kim flashback to when she was passing the barn being sworn in possibly featuring Howard and or chalkback when they were still alive this hypothetical flashback could have shown how Howard and Chuck at hhm brought Kim into their lives and that ever since then she's been in one way or another involved in both of their deaths she helped defend Jimmy against Chuck during the chicanery Hearing in 305 in which he's shown guilt for during the back half of season 3 along with obviously being The Mastermind behind trying to ruin Howard's reputation in season six in order to force Sandpiper to settle she was obviously more involved in Howard's death than Chucks however with us thinking that this flashback could have happened as the cold opened to 608 would have brought a parallel to Kim's past with Howard right after we witnessed Howard's death in the end of 607 although it was an extremely interesting Theory and trailer this never came to fruition with his never actually hearing the dialogue on the show of Kim being sworn in as a lawyer seeing a flashback of it of never seeing a flashback of Howard for the rest of the show so even though we never hear the dialogue from this teaser of Kim being sworn in we do see the shot of the teaser which features the candle in their apartment with Howard's blood on it this is obviously symbolism due to the candlelight flickering first when Howard arrived at the apartment followed by Lalo moments later with the candle being a signifier of both their arrivals respectively since Howard and Lalo arriving one after another tragically resulted in Howard's death having Howard's blood splattered on the candle is amazing symbolism for the events at the end of 607 and since this is the shot that we saw in the teaser it's what made us think that having a flashback Kim being sworn in with Howard's help could be a clear parallel to Howard's death all of Kim being partly responsible for it what I wonder is if this dialogue was ever actually meant to be in the show or if it was only recorded specifically for this trailer is it non-canon dialogue similar to the gene Bounty teaser being non-canon or did they actually intend on the show having a flashback of Kim being sworn in as a lawyer it's possible that this was intended to be an actual show but was eventually cut as a deleted scene if this is the case maybe once we get our hands on the Better Call Saul season 6 Blu-ray and actually watch the season 6 deleted scenes this dialogue of Kim being sworn in could be a part of one as long time viewers of my channel may know I actually have a series on the channel breaking down deleted scenes for each season of the show so I do eventually plan on doing the same for season six now moving on the final teaser trailer that never actually came to fruition is the final teaser trailer for the show actually the one for the series finale episode 613. this teaser trailer featured Jimmy Suzuki Esteem in the desert from back when Jimmy and Mike had to push it into a ditch after the 508 big man shootout except teaser trailer shows the esteem has now become rusted over time implying that this teaser trailer happens either during the Breaking Bad timeline or even the gene timeline now during this teaser we hear Gene out of breath trying to recite the secret code phrase to tell Ed to disappear in order to relocate and change his identity by the way though we hear Gene trying to catch his breath while doing so kind of made us theorize that maybe Gene was on the run or even potentially in a car crash or injured somehow implied by the flipped over steam in the trailer whereas the Kim teaser we actually saw the shot of the candle but never heard the dialogue from it it's the exact opposite for the 613 Suzuki Esteem trailer where we never see the shot of his steam rusted in the desert but we do hear the dialogue of Gene reciting Ed's secret code phrase which turned out to be while Gene was hiding in the dumpster right before getting arrested so although we never see the exact shot of the esteem from this teaser we do see a different shot of this steam at the beginning of 6 13 during the cold open flashback of Mike and Jimmy finding that sister in the water while walking back to civilization after bagman so the trailer was most likely teasing The Bag Man flashback hold open along with Gene getting caught the only thing that slightly confuses me is the fact that in the teaser this steam seems rusted out implying that it happens in 2008 to 2010 while the cold open is obviously flashback to write when they ditched the esteem in the desert back in 2004 during bagman for this next section we'll be taking a look at some notable Side characters and discussing what their Fates may have been for starting with Daniel price wormald for years now fans have theorized that Daniel wormald is in fact the same Dany that Saul mentions multiple times throughout Breaking Bad and more specifically the owner of the laser tag place that saw was so adamant about salfords tells Walt that he needs a Danny to operate his money laundering businesses which means a business owner who's okay with them laundering their money through his business in order to keep it up and running while it shoots down buying the laser take place in favor of buying the car wash that he used to work at with Skyler becoming his Danny so to speak we also see the laser take place when Saul is hiding Jesse from Gus and Mike at the end of season 3 along within season 5 as a location that Saul suggests that Walt Jesse and Mike should secretly cook and side so although it's never outright confirmed in either show after Better Call Saul finished airing Tom schnaus confirmed that in the Creator's eyes a Daniel price wormald is in fact the Dany that Saul knows from Breaking Bad I imagine that they float around the idea of showing prices Dany during the Breaking Bad timeline but never got around to it as they couldn't think of a purpose that it would serve within the story regardless it's implied that Saul kept in contact with price throughout the years as price eventually opened up a laser tag place I guess eventually turning it into one of Saul's many money laundering businesses jumping forward to the post-breaking bad Gene timeline when Gene is on the phone with Francesca she tells him that all of his money laundering businesses were shut down by the police including the laser tag place which implies that price eventually was caught and most likely arrested for money laundering for Saul and his clients uh don't tell me laser tag feds found it also but how um how about Danny they're uh arira I mean any word on those two guys they have internet where you are next up is QB when did Jimmy meet him and whatever happened to him now we saw an extensive backstory for Jimmy first meeting Hugh from hiring him through Caldera but we never see kubi during the 2004 Better Call Saul timeline at all it's implied that kubi was eventually hired by Saul between 2004 and 2008 although we never actually see it as you may know Kobe was played by comedian Bill Burr who turned out to be too busy with his own Ventures to her prizes were all as Kuby and Better Call Saul the creators actually wanted him to return in season five but he was unable to which is why we instead saw Steven oggs where prizes role as Mr X when Jimmy and Kim needed a pi to find dirt on Kevin from Mesa Verde apparently the craters were also open to the idea of kubi appearing in season six A Better Call Saul but as we can clearly tell that never came to fruition either now during Gene's phone call with Francesca we may have gone a subtle nod to the fact that Bill Burr never reprized his role as kubi due to the fact that when Jean asked Francesca about kubi she has no ideas to what he's been up to how's kubi no idea next up whatever happened to Jeff or Marion Jeff purposely distracted the police getting himself arrested in 612 in order to allow Gene to escape the house that he was robbing the last we ever see of Jeff is in 612 while down at the police station talking to Gene over the phone Gene was adamant over helping Marion get Jeff out of jail but as we know that was overthrown over the fact that Marion was able to figure out Gene's true identity as Saul Goodman now Marion had previously mentioned how she once went through a great struggle getting Jeff out of jail in the past due to getting in legal troubles when Jeff lived in Albuquerque with that being the reason why Jeff ended up moving away from Albuquerque and back into his mother's Place well in the first place now when Marion is discussing this with Gene over the phone she understandably gets incredibly worked up thinking about having to go through that whole rigmarole again as she's still paying legal fees from the last time that she had to fish Jeff out of jail needless to say since Jean wasn't able to help get Jeff out of jail I assume that Marion did sadly have to fight the legal system all on her own in order to somehow help Jack since Jeff already knew that Gene was Saul it is possible that Jeff could have given police information about Saul in order to lighten any charges against him but nothing like that ever comes up during the series finale when gene or Saul whatever gets arrested and goes to court which could imply that Jeff did keep his mouth shut about his involvement with Saul from the final few episodes I'd like to help bring up a few fan favorite Side characters that never properly got closure for their characters first with Lyle the assistant manager of Los poyos in Albuquerque although he did get a few final scenes in Better Call Saul season 6 showing that he's still working on those poyos he's nowhere to be found during Breaking Bad now the realistic answer is of course the fact that the actor who plays Lyle wasn't hired until Better Call Saul which was created after breaking bad what about the in-universe answer for the character well there's two options either one hopefully could have gone promoted to manager during the events of Breaking Bad meaning that he probably would have gone relocated to a different Los Pollos location to manage it either that or maybe finally had enough of Gus's weird business practices and got a job somewhere else and even if Lyle was still working for his closed captioning not available between season five and six A Better Call Saul airing and to be honest we never really got any more information about it since then the creators of Better Call Saul mentioned in various interviews and podcasts that they did feel the possibility of answering questions about Gus's past during the final season of Better Call Saul But ultimately decided against it as they didn't find it necessary to the current story that they were working with it's not always possible to tie up every loose end and the creators like the idea of keeping the mystery of Gus's past open-ended as it kept more of a Mystique behind the character personally I'm okay with not fully learning the ins and outs of Gus's Chilean past as we got drip fed just the right amount of info in order to speculate on it while not ruining the mysteriousness surrounding it one major factor that makes Gus's past so interesting is the fact that it's still a mystery to its day with the mystery box sometimes being more interesting than the actual answers themselves another Gus related question is regard to who finished the super lab Construction in 609 we got our final Better Call Saul scene between Gus and Mike with Gus telling Mike to find a new crew to complete building the super lab now that Lalo's been taking care of we know that they do obviously finish building it eventually so it's ready to appear in Breaking Bad we never saw who or how it got finished there's just another one of those things where it wasn't necessary to show on screen as it's implied that there weren't any more hiccups with the rest of the construction since we can assume that the rest of the construction all went as planned without any other opposition or threats to worry about it makes sense that Mike would just hire a new crew off screen and oversee them completing the construction by the time breaking bad happens in 2008. now as far as Ice Station Zebra and Associates go what is iStation zebra Associates and make it out to Ice Station Zebra Associates that's my loan out it's a totally legit it's done just for tax purposes it was a huge theory that Kim was actually working with Saul during Breaking Bad Under Ice Station Zebra since we now know that Kim obviously did not have anything to do with Saul during the events of Breaking Bad it's practically now confirmed that Saul just named his loan out company after the movie Ice Station Zebra to pay tribute to Kim this is because she loved the movie due to her dad and once showed Jimmy the movie and Better Call Saul season 2. also iStation zebras what was written on a check that Kim had gone from one of her first Cons with Jimmy which she kept as a Memento similar to the zafiro Anejo bottle stopper so Jimmy and naming his loan out company iStation zebras just another subtle nod to his conning days with Kim the final unanswered question they'll be bringing up in his video is the fact that we never learned which attorney Saul said Francesca up with during the four or five Breaking Bad Flash Forward during that scene there were two major chekhovs gun details that we theorized about for years first what attorney did Saul tell Francesca higher okay when the cops come talk to you and they will what are you going to tell them talk to my attorney yeah tell them uh Jimmy sent you and second what was the answer to the mysterious phone call that's all set up with Francesca that happened on his next birthday well the final few episodes I Better Call Saul answered the phone call question as it was Gene himself who wanted to speak to Francesca and get updates on everything that's happened since he went into hiding his Gene but we never got the answer as to who saw God Francesca to hire as her attorney during that four or five scene when Saul gives Francesca the card he tells her to let the attorney know that Jimmy Center which implies that the attorney is someone who knew him as Jimmy McGill before he changed his name to Saul Goodman we know that it couldn't have been Oakley since Oakley was still a prosecutor at the time and didn't switch to being a defense attorney until the gene timeline and We Know It clearly wasn't Kim since she quit the law it's theorized that this attorney was supposed to be Howard since they never knew that Howard was gonna die in season six back when they were creating season 4 when this scene happened but since Howard ended up dying in season 6 during 2004 which is canonically before this 405 scene that would have taken place in 2009 the craters us to realize that they couldn't go with their original idea of it being Howard and so they just left it open-ended instead of trying to figure out some other answer it's possible it could have been rich or Cliff but I kind of doubt it as Jimmy never really left things off positively with either of them respectively so if it wasn't Cliff Rich Oakley Howard or Kim then who else is there even left sadly it's one unanswered question that we may never get a resolution to now if you have any other unanswered questions from throughout Better Call Saul that I didn't mention in this video let me know in the comments as well and if there's a big enough list to still discuss at some point I may create a part two to this video I'm already aware of a few major questions from the series finale such as did Cheryl ever take him to court over her confession or did Kim ever help Jimmy find a way to shorten his sentence and get out of prison sooner than expected but I've decided to wait and discuss those as they may be big enough topics to take up their own videos I may also do a video for unanswered questions from Breaking Bad itself so feel free to leave any comments about unresolved loose ends you may have for that show as well in the meantime give the video a like if you can enjoyed anything I've said today be sure to subscribe and hit the Bell notification to be updated on when I post new content on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul check out the patreon in the description or give a super thanks help support the channel financially but most importantly I thank you all so much for watching especially until the end of the video until next time I'll talk to you guys later peace out [Music]
