BEST UNDER EYE CONCEALERS - OVER 35

hi everybody it's Gemma welcome back to pampered Wharf and welcome to my rundown on the best under-eye concealers for anybody over the age of 35 now that is a pretty wide age range and I think basically what I mean is anybody that has those fine lines or wrinkles or any dryness underneath the eyes anybody that struggles to find a concealer that is going to stay in place without creasing without budging without cracking and without creating those little lines underneath the eyes that basically are a roadmap to match oval they make you look older than you did before you put the concealer in place so if that is you then this video is definitely for you there are people over the age of 35 but do not have a wrinkle in sight and if that is you look at you but it's definitely not me in the next few minutes I'm gonna be running through my favorite under-eye concealers starting with the least coverage and finishing with the fullest coverage concealers that I feel like play very very nicely underneath the under eye this is quite a hefty list so you are gonna have to bear with me but hopefully there will be something for absolutely everybody I am throwing in some dupes for some very very popular high-end concealers as well one thing I do want to mention before we jump straight into the first concealer is that every single concealer even if it is the perfect concealer for you will crease underneath the eye if you apply too much if you are wanting a full coverage concealer don't go for something with a light to medium coverage and try and build that up because you are setting yourself up for absolute disaster let's jump straight into the list okay before I start I need to mention that some of these concealers are in my winter shade some of them are in my summer shade and some of them are just plain wrong I mean I may have made one or two mistakes when trying to get the perfect shade of concealer for me so we're just bear that in mind these are going to be a variation of lots of different shades but they are all a May concealers so let's go straight into the light coverage concealers okay so the first one is the wire cell - chakra high cover this is amazing this is the concealer version of the original - she class so this does have some coverage but not masses but for a lot of you this will be enough this is the most beautiful creamy light weight consistency product and it blends out like an absolute dream it does have light reflecting particles in there like I said so it does reflect the light as well as adding that little bit of coverage so even though it's only a small amount of coverage because of those light reflecting particles it does hide your dark circles and I absolutely love it I will link all the products in the description box for anybody that wants to take a look at those by the way anybody that is wanting a little dupe for the wire cell to declare high cover this is the number seven instant radiance concealer it even looks the same just in slightly different packaging going on it is a slightly thicker formula slightly thicker but when you start to blend it out it really does blend well really really beautiful on the skin you probably can't even see that on my skin it's completely undetectable but it does cover the one thing I will say about this you have to apply these very very sparingly because these are not self setting so you have to apply them very sparingly and let them sink into the skin if you don't do that these will move okay we're gonna move on it's you light to medium coverage so if you are after something slightly more coverage than the light coverage concealers then this will be the one that you're looking for this first one gives a radiant luminous finish to the under eyes and it's the NYX born to glow concealer now this actually advertises saying that is a medium to full coverage to concealer if you use it as it says on the website you will get no end of problems lots of creasing lots of movement and that roadmap to mature Vil that we all want to avoid like the plague if you use this really really sparingly to create a light to medium coverage rather than a medium to full coverage like it says on the bottle you will get the most beautiful finish with this so just apply the tiniest amount on the skin and then really buff that into the skin and this will not move it will not crease it will not go cakey it is beautiful as long as you don't apply too much apply too much it goes all over the place the next two concealers in the light to medium coverage category have a slightly more natural matte finish the first one I'm gonna mention is one that is an oldie but a serious goodie and that is the instant anti age the eraser eye from Maybelline this is the most amazing concealer and it's the most lightweight consistency of all the concealers that I'm going to show you today including the YSL Touche Clark eye cover which is very very thin in consistency this one has a sponge applicator on here very similar to the one from NYX this is so so beautiful it gives a really light texture but sim serious coverage for the amount of product that you actually need so you can get a beautiful light to medium coverage with this once you buff that into the skin it will not move once again the running theme in this video is if you try to build this up to full coverage or even a high medium coverage this will crease and it will need setting in place apply the right amount and buff it into the skin and it won't need any at all and it also won't move this will also reflect the light to disguise those dark circles even more so it's absolutely fantastic and I absolutely love it the last one in the light to medium coverage category which also has a natural matte finish is another product by number seven this is the lift and illuminate serum concealer and it is stunning this is far too pale for me at the moment it's quite a creamy texture when you first apply it to the skin but once you start blending it out it really does sink into the skin superb Lee well it's undetectable and yet you do get the coverage that you need you can't even see that on the back of my hand so this actually has some really hydrating ingredients in here really does sink into the skin gives us skin like finish no need to set this in place again if you apply the right amount okay so let's move on to the medium to full coverage concealers for those people that just need that little bit of extra something underneath the eye all those people that want their concealer to match their medium to full coverage foundation these next two products are both liquid concealers they both have a radiant finish to the surface of the skin and they are both hydrating non-drying formulas the first one is a really popular choice with all of the a-listers for a really good reason it's an absolutely amazing concealer this is the NARS radiant creamy concealer and it is phenomenal this gives a really beautiful luminous matte finish if that makes sense it's not overly shiny on the under eye it's a really really beautiful finish but still has those light reflecting particles which is going to aid covering up those under-eye circles really beautiful creamy texture it's got a slight heavier coverage than all of the other ones that I've shown you already but this is a medium to full coverage can cela absolutely gorgeous still very very lightweight on the skin gives a radiant glow and a smoothing effect to the under eye while still being really easy to buff out if you apply the right amounts of this this will not crease some people say you have to set this in place and if you are going to apply it to full coverage then yes I probably agree with you this will need setting but if you're happy with the medium coverage then this will stay all day without creasing if it does slightly crease you may just have to tap that back in with your fingers but that's just because you've applied slightly too much if you buff this into the skin this will not move and it is the most beautiful finish absolutely gorgeous but if you're not wanting to spend that amount I do have a dupe for that product and that comes from a company called a revolution this is the conceal and hydrate concealer and again it is amazing slightly more skin light of an radiant on the skin and that is the only difference to the NARS creamy concealer this has the same texture it's absolutely beautiful obviously it's completely a different shade to the one that I've just shown you really really beautiful creamy texture it will give full coverage but again if you're wanting that full coverage you are gonna have to set this in place it is a hydrating concealer so it is going to be movable if you're wanting a medium coverage you can get away without setting this in place it will buff into the skin it will give the most beautiful sheen on the surface and it's infused with hyaluronic acid so it's definitely a non drying formula every time somebody has asked me what concealer I recommend for anybody with a dry under eye this is the one that I suggest especially if you're wanting something medium to full coverage okay so let's move on to medium to full coverage concealers but with a really thick creamy texture and a lot of people with really mature skin prefer these type of concealers because they are thick so you get that pigmentation but they're also really hydrating as well the first one that I'm going to show you is a Charlotte Tilbury and this is her magic away liquid concealer I absolutely adore this concealer I have it in two shades this is my number three I also have it in a number five this one actually comes with a sponge applicator which I didn't like at first it gets a little gunky around the tube so it's hard to put the lid back on again and the sponge gets a little bit gunky which I didn't like however the sponge is there for a reason on the number five I actually removed the sponge this is a really really thick creamy product which is great I'm not knocking it absolutely fantastic and I love this concealer but if you apply it straight from the tube without using the sponge this is slightly more difficult to buff out because it is so thick whereas if you keep the sponge you get a really even application and you get less product underneath the eye so it's less cumbersome to actually buff out so I like to apply this both ways but I do find it slightly easier to apply with the sponge because you get less product on the skin and you need very very little of this product what's really special about these is that they've got a slight spandex quality to the formula so this is quite stretchy it is quite movable without it creasing and cracking underneath the eye absolutely love these but again you have to apply these quite sparingly otherwise they will move throughout the day the next product in the medium to full thick creamy category is my mom's personal favorite this is the one she uses on a daily basis she absolutely loves it she thinks this really hydrates under her under eye and she doesn't get any movement out of this product either which is a serious bonus for her this is the it cosmetics bye bye under-eye concealer this will be slightly tacky to the touch when you eventually get some out of the tube this is so so super thick it's actually quite difficult to squeeze out of the tube now my mom swears by this and she would use far less than this for both of her under eyes a little goes an extremely long way this is high coverage if you want it to be its antioxidant rich it's full of hyaluronic acid and peptides and lots of other beautiful skin smoothers and like I say my mom absolutely swears by it it also gives an absolutely fantastic coverage with a beautiful radiant sheen on the surface of the skin really really beautiful if you're not wanting to spend as much a dupe for this one is another one by revolution this is the ultimate coverage creep proof concealer this is practically identical apart from the fact that this has slightly stickier consistency than the bye-bye under-eye it's super super thick still and it's just slightly stickier and thicker to blend out so slightly more difficult to blend but my mom passed this rather than drags it underneath the eye so that really shouldn't be a problem the last product in the medium to full coverage creamy category is a product that I've mentioned a lot of times recently on my channel and also over on Instagram this is by jouer and it is the essential high coverage concealer pen absolutely fantastic now like I said before I don't usually go for the cream stick concealers it just reminds me of back in the 80s and early 90s of when you could only get cream stick concealer and they were just really thick and gloopy and didn't do very much they were cumbersome to blend out and they just went really cakey and patchy underneath the eye this is nothing like that this also doesn't crease really badly throughout the day which I found most other cream stick foundations really do I like to apply it on my finger first and then Pat it underneath the eye to get the required coverage this is medium to full coverage but I prefer it as a medium coverage because that means it won't need setting in place and I just find that when you do set a cream in place because it doesn't dry down because it's not a liquid it will go slightly cakey if I do need full coverage that day so know that this is going to slightly move not much but it will slightly move under the eye I'm quite happy to just Pat that back in place throughout the day I very rarely have to Pat it back in place but if I do need that extra coverage with this product I'm quite happy to do that because it's hydrating and it's long-lasting absolutely love it okay so let's move on to a medium to full coverage concealer with a more of a matte finish the first one that I want to recommend to everybody is an oldie but goodie I just keep going back to this time and time again no matter how many concealers I test out for everybody on a weekly basis this is always the one that I go back to if I'm wanting something more full coverage that is self setting I have not set this in place today I have been filming for a really long time and this has not moved it can be slightly drying so this isn't a concealer that I would wear on a daily basis but when I am wearing it I just make sure that my eyes are really well hydrated and moisturized before I apply it if you're wanting full coverage apply a very very thin layer of this let it dry down and set before you apply another layer a lot of mistakes that people make is they apply too thick layer to begin with and they think it's dry when actually it's not dry to begin with and then by another layer over the top and then the bottom layer is continuing to move and you get cracks and you get settling into fine lines and you get creasing throughout the day so make sure you are playing a very thin layer and make sure that's completely dry before you move on to applying your second layer so the Mac Pro Longwear comes with a pump which I would usually absolutely love for sanitary reasons obviously it's better to have a pump than have a an actual applicator that you're constantly putting in and out of the product the problem with this is the pump is really really stiff and I end up wasting quite a bit of product because it dispenses far too much as you can see I would use probably 1/3 of that amount for both eyes so I am wasting quite a bit of product with that but I still absolutely love this product the next product in this category that I highly recommend is the benefits cake list concealer this is such a good concealer I've worn this so many times on my channel it's got a really creamy texture to this it's got great coverage it's a Demi matte finish it's really long wearing no setting required this is a self setting concealer so you're not gonna get creasing you're not gonna get cakiness throughout the day from that powder it's just absolutely beautiful but I do have a dupe for the benefit k + concealer if you're not wanting to spend this amount and you're also wanting something that is cruelty free then revolution' have done it again this is the revolution conceal and define infinite and it is unbelievable practically identical to the benefit k CLIs concealer in the fact that it is super creamy it's got a Demi matte finish it dries down really fast and it self sets without you needing to add a powder over the top again you need to apply this correctly in very very thin layers otherwise you will have a disaster later on down the line but is it is extremely smoothing doesn't settle into any fine lines or wrinkles and I don't find this overly drying underneath the eye is slightly drying because it's a self setter and any self setting concealers are going to be slightly drying under the eye but again if you make sure that that area is completely prepped and hydrated and moisturize beforehand you shouldn't have a problem so that's it that is my full list of all concealers that I feel work absolutely beautifully under the under eye so if you are worried about your concealer settling into those fine lines or wrinkles if you don't want to set your foundation in place if you're worried about creasing or movement in any way I really hope this video has helped you out and helped you pick a concealer that will be perfect for you let me
