hey what's going on guys cta prime back here again today we're going to be taking a look at this hp gaming pc that i recently picked up on ebay now whenever i run across a deal like this i always post it in my community tab and this one here is definitely the best deal on a gaming pc that i found in 2021 due to gpu prices being ridiculously crazy right now so on ebay from the seller i bought this from it was listed for 4.99 but they had a 15 off coupon on all of their refurbished items so i was actually able to pick this up for 457 shipped to the door and like i mentioned anytime i run across a deal like this i post it in my community tab i know some of my viewers were able to get a hold of a few of these but uh looking at the specs here and knowing what kind of performance this thing's gonna put out it's probably worth that 4.99 even if you can't get that 15 off because if you've been keeping up with gpu prices on ebay they are absolutely ridiculous but with this setup here at 499 you're getting your cpu ram gpu power supply case i mean you're getting a fully functional pc and the specs on this are pretty decent so for the cpu we have the ryzen 5 3500 six cores six threads base clock 3.6 boost up to 4.1 8 gigabytes of ddr4 and a gtx 1650 super so overall this thing is actually really small we do have room for another 2.5 inch drive or a 3.5 inch mechanical drive if you want to do it from the factory it comes with a 256 gigabyte nvme ssd and like i mentioned this comes with eight gigabytes of ram pre-installed it's a single stick in here but we have two dimms so you can always upgrade this down the road bring it up to 16 and have a really nice little machine but in this video i'm going to be testing it in its factory configuration with only eight gigs of ram i just want to see how it performs straight out of the box now its main claim to fame is this gtx 1650 super it's an oem 1650 super and a few months ago people would have passed these up kind of laughed them off a little bit being a 1650 but with the way gpu prices are right now getting a whole machine here for 450 shipped to the door is in my opinion a really awesome deal when you factor in gpu prices and the stock power supply in here is a 400 watt 80 plus platinum which is going to be plenty for this system so with all that out of the way let's go ahead and see how this thing performs okay so here it is it came pre-installed with windows 10 home i've installed a bunch of games and benchmarks to run as you can see we have that ryzen 5 3 500 6 cores no extra threads 8 gigs of ddr4 running at 2667 and the nvidia geforce gtx 1650 super so when most people go out and buy a pre-built this is probably going to be your only desktop pc it's going to be your little media center your workstation and your gaming rig so usually what i like to do is test this as a regular old desktop pc web browsing 4k video playback and things like that just to make sure it functions properly and going into this i know it's going to do really well we have that 1650 super and a 6 core 4 gigahertz amd cpu but let's go ahead and test it out so i'm using the edge browser let's just head over to hp's website real quick and i mean immediately everything's loaded up it's good to go let me go one more spot here i always like to test out the raspberry pi website and immediate load in yeah so web browsing isn't going to be an issue on something like this let's go ahead and check out some 4k video playback i'm just going to head over to youtube pause this make sure we're at 4k full screen had some drop frames when we're loading in here but that's usually normal 9 out of 500 ain't bad so when it comes to web browsing 4k video playback or in general media consumption you're not going to have any issue if you want to do 4k from netflix or your favorite app it's going to work just fine on this machine so now that we have that out of the way before we get into gaming let's run a few benchmarks first one i ran was geekbench five we came in with a single core score of 1154 and a multi of 45.52 would have loved to see a higher multi-core score but we don't have any extra threads we just have those six scores so it's looking pretty decent next on the list pc mark 10 with a total score of 4501 moving over to 3dmark with night raid 30 880 fire strike came in at 10 115 and finally time spy with 4 348 overall not bad at all for the price paid here but now it's time to get into some real world gaming so first up we have skyrim special edition it'll run at 60 all day i haven't noticed any dips in the frame rate at all it just runs great and it looks absolutely amazing next up we have overwatch 1080p high settings got an average of 131 fps looking pretty good here we could probably go up to ultra settings here and just lock it at 60. forza horizon 4 now i wasn't expecting it to run at ultra on the 1650 super but as you can see here it does run really well 1080p ultra settings and i got an average of 84fps out of this next on the list crisis remastered 1080p i did drop this down to medium settings and we're getting a pretty good frame rate when there's lots of explosions on screen i have seen it dip down to around 57 but overall it's very playable on this setup running halo 3 on this machine is no issue whatsoever 1080p using the enhanced preset high settings i got an average of 182 fps so i do think we could probably go up to 1440p with this one gta 5 1080p high settings got an average of 92 fps looking really good here i'm pretty impressed by the 1650 super now i've only tested the 1650 but the super definitely offers a little extra performance doom eternal 1080p medium settings unfortunately when i did have this set to high at 1080p i did see it drop below 60. but when it really comes down to it you could go with a nice medium high mix and get really good performance here's fortnite 1080p went with a high and epic mix here performance is great personally i don't play this game but if you're into fortnite just note that a pc like this will play it just fine red dead redemption 2 1080p medium settings i just went with the benchmark and we averaged 59 fps out of it if we did do a little bit of an overclock on this gpu we could possibly get about 61 to 62 but like it sits stock medium settings you're going to average around 59 fps all right so the last game we have here is cyberpunk 2077 preset is low 1080p and i do have dynamic resolution scaling going on from 70 up to 100 and it's trying its hardest here it's going to try to keep above 60 or at 60 but once you get going pretty fast once you get in a vehicle and start moving around a lot it does have trouble keeping up and you will see it dip quite a bit so overall in its stock configuration i think this machine is performing excellent for the price point but we do have a little bit of headroom here now if you did want to upgrade the ram i would definitely go with at least 16 gigabytes and up that the 3200 megahertz plus we can always overclock this gpu and i've done exactly both of those things here just for a quick test to show you what kind of performance you can get out of this machine over on the left-hand side stock configuration time spy we scored a total of 4 348 our graphic score was 4626 and cpu was 3247. over on the right hand side i've installed 16 gigabytes of ddr4 3200 megahertz ram dual channel and i've done a quick dirty core overclock on the gpu just up 200 megahertz it bumped our total score up to 4979 graphic score 5005 and our cpu score went from 3 200 up to 4 800 so there is some headroom here and we can probably get a little more clock out of that gpu so yeah in the end i think performance is great for this little machine i do love the form factor this gtx 1650 super performed way better than i thought it would we do have a little bit of upgrade ability like i showed you you can't upgrade that ram we can overclock this gpu i would have loved a couple extra threads on that cpu but i'm not going to do any complaining given the price that i paid for this thing now it does have that oem heatsink on the cpu but temps really weren't that bad i mean on average with gaming we are at 72 degrees celsius but keep in mind this doesn't have any front fans in it i mean you could always add some if you want to but really when it comes down to it the only upgrades i would really do to this is add an extra drive for some more game storage throw 16 gigabytes of ram in it and overclock that gpu and you got a nice little machine here but that's going to wrap it up for this video i really appreciate you watching i will have a full emulation video coming up on this machine very soon so keep an eye on the channel and if there's anything else you want to see running on this or have any questions just let me know in the comments below but that's going to wrap it up for this one and like always thanks for watching
