[Music] yo what's up guys Joe here hope all is well welcome to an $800 full pc build guide if you're a beginner and you've never built a pc before you've come to the right place I'm gonna be walking you guys through the whole process from start to finish so we break these tutorials down into three parts first we're gonna be going over all the parts and their prices while I want you guys through step by step as to how to put together our build second we're gonna be installing stuff this includes our Windows 10 operating system and all our drivers needed to make sure every single part is running up to speed and then last we're gonna be putting our break to the test by playing a total of 10 games this includes 1 VR title those you guys carriers on the VR performance every single game we're testing out is listed in the video's description and every single part we're using for this build is also listed in the video's description alright guys let's jump into the tutorial first we're gonna be working with our motherboard and our CPU we chose a board by MSI this is the B 450 tomahawk Max and the 3600 right now is going for 173 it has 12 threads and it's max boost is 4.2 gigahertz it comes included with a stock AMD heatsink which already has thermal paste applied so on the bottom left hand side of our CPU we're gonna find a tiny little Golden Arrow we're gonna be lining that up with the air on the motherboard which is located on the top left so we're gonna want to lift the lever to the side and then all the way up we're not gonna push down on the CPU we're just gonna let it drop into place like that so we won't bend our pins and we could put our lever back down so to attach our heatsink we got to unscrew these things first all right so I like to line it up with the AMD text on the left and now we secure all four points to power our fan we're gonna hook it up to the CPU fan header is located right here far around we're going 1 for 16 gigabyte kit rated at 3200 megahertz this is by coarser we got to make sure that we put our two sticks into the second ramp slot and then the four slot so once I have it lined up just push down on opposite sides in the next one so moving on to our storage we win a 500 gigabyte m dot - a form-factor SSD it's gonna go into our m2 slot on our board and then we just secure it with one screw so we're now ready to put our board inside our case this is by NZXT it's the H 510 we picked it up for 70 bucks so now this is where IO shield comes into play so we're just gonna be clipping this guy back here when inserting our board into our case you want to first make sure that all the points of our motherboards line up with the standoffs inside the case our board has nine points and this case already has all nine standoffs in the appropriate position so we don't have to moving around or anything first I line up the ports of our board with the i/o shield and then I lay it down and line it up with those standoffs all right screws we're gonna be using the 632 screw flap so we're just gonna do eight of the points this one no need this is where the boards actually gonna rest now we're gonna get our juice in there for that we're gonna be using the 600 watt bronze rated power supply by EVGA so the two cables that already hooked up to it is our 24-pin power cable which powers the motherboard and then this one powers our CPU we're going to be hooking up the VGA cable which is going to power our gtx 1660 super it's labeled on here VGA one and that's it actually you can hang on to these in case for future expansion so when we put in our power supply make sure that the fan is facing the bottom of the case so the power supply draws in cool air from the bottom and then this is where it blows it out we can find a dust filter that you may want to clean every once in a while so our custom sleeve power supply cables serve as extension cables so they're gonna hook up to the original 1:24 pin one the one that split powers our CPU and our 1660 super requires an 8 pin cable to power it that's ready to go I'm gonna attach some cable combs to these guys they look clean these come included with the kit before we move on to plugging in all the cables I want to go over the fans with you guys so the age 510 comes included with to stock 120 millimeter fans we picked up an additional 2 120 millimeter fans so to get our fans installed we're gonna unscrew these two so how we're gonna be placing our fans is like this this is the intake position so cold air is gonna come in through the front of the case alright guys so now we're ready to plug in all our cables we're gonna break them down into three groups the first group is all the case cables these connect the ports and our power button to the motherboard our second group of cables is the for fans and our build and then the last group is the three power cables we're gonna be plugging in our case cables first this one's labeled HD audio it's gonna hook up at the bottom left side of our board so that's good to go that cable hooks up the headphone / mic input of the case to the board it is only one input but inside our accessories box and adapters included so audio microphone next cable is for our USB 3.0 port goes in right there so this one's labeled F paddle this hooks up to RJ fp1 pins this cables will connect our power button to the board so our last case cables to connect the type c port but unfortunately this motherboard does not have a input for the type seat it's kind of funny though because the motherboard does out one type c port so our first fan splitter is gonna hook up down here the second one we're gonna be plugging in up here and then a wire both of them to the back moving to the back side of our case so I'll plug in two of our fans to the splitter and then the other two fans are able to connect to each other so we won't need a splitter for this one but it was a 2-pack so that's why I'm just gonna hook it up this way might as well use it and now our power cables so our CPU power cable plugs in right here our 24 pin plugs in right here make sure both of these cables are all the way in they shouldn't clip into the input so the last cable for our graphics card we'll save that for later we're gonna be installing my RGB LED lights now this cable comes included with it so we line up the two V's and then the other end hooks up to our motherboard if you want to get rid of these pins so now we line up the V with the 12 volt pen it's labeled the first one and it's ready to go the pie guys graphics card time so we paid 240 bucks for 1660 super buy a soos it's rockin six gigs of the RAM so paint job came out pretty clean on our card both the backplate in the front was covered fans left alone we don't want extra paint weight on them this card's rocking a DVI port HDMI port and a DisplayPort so we're gonna be lining up our graphics card with the first PCI slot on our board first we want to pull this back and we're gonna be removing the second and third brackets to make the base for our card now I'm just gonna line it up and just push it in until it clips we secure it and our juice I haven't seen a Funko pop with like two pieces and I have a lot of pops these guys look pretty cool this guy is so tiny [Music] [Music] hi we're done guys first Buddha the graphics card also lights up as you can see that adds a really nice touch we've done a lot of builds here on the channel this one's definitely one of my favorite ones I really like the way it came out for 800 bucks pretty clean okay guys so we're gonna install Windows 10 from a USB flash drive I made a video tutorial on how to create one of these it's linked in the video description or you can purchase a flash drive with Windows 10 already pre-loaded onto it we're gonna plug it in and turn on our PC our system isn't gonna boot into our flash drive we're gonna look next install now you have a product key you insert it right here I don't have one next I'm gonna be installing Windows 10 Pro next just read this like that next we're gonna select custom install and right here is where all the drives hooked up to our system are gonna show up we only have a single SSD that's where we're installing Windows 10 next so right now it's copying all the windows 10 files from our flash drive to our SSD once that's done the computers not gonna restart and at this point it's normal for our system to restart twice sometimes even three times everything's good just let it do its thing okay so yeah once we arrive here all files are copied over so we can disconnect our flash drive and we're just gonna go through this process pretty simple this is like if you cop the new laptop from Best Buy is just your user name and password and whatnot all right guys we wrap that our desktop first we're gonna be downloading our motherboard drivers from the website we're gonna select Windows 10 64 bit and we're gonna download the AMD chipset driver I'm gonna save it to my desktop our Audio Driver again saving it to the desktop and under land already there net drivers save as to the desktop I'm also gonna be showing you guys how to update the BIOS if you choose so so we're gonna download the latest version which will be the first one at the top of the list save and if we go over to utility again Windows 10 64 we go down to the MSI dragon center this is the program that you need in order to change the lights of our RGB LED strips so we definitely want to download that save as to our desktop so that's everything for our motherboard in order for us to be able to install these we first have to unzip them so right click extract all extract now we could actually open it up and install it we're gonna do the same thing for the rest of the folders alright so now we don't need the zipped ones anymore to lead them okay so first our AMD chips and Driver double click and we're gonna go into our setup double click that yes accept and Express install all right we're gonna restart this later close okay next one is our Audio Driver is again under setup yup and our land Driver far Ethernet port yes next stall right now let's install our dragon Center ad yep okay we installed it but as you can see nothing else is happening so now we have to bring it up we're gonna search for it right here it is it's highlighted new okay continue run yes yup English Next I accept next install finish and we just let it do its thing now all right it's done we're gonna go to mystic light and then this is where we're able to change our colors I'm gonna select steady which means it just stays on one color and we're gonna pick a white blueish color apply all right guys so we're done with this stuff we can delete it now I'm gonna show you guys how to update our BIOS so it's located in here it's this file the point 360 file so I'm gonna plug in another flash drive into our PC and I'm gonna be dragging in our BIOS into that flash drive so now we're gonna restart our PC and boot up to our BIOS to then update our BIOS from our flash drive that file we dragged in there so when we're restarting our PC just keep clicking delete on your keyboard to have it boot up there and we are in our BIOS so then we have to go over to em flash yes and then right away our flash drives gonna pop up you select the file and then it's gonna ask you if you want to update to it but as you can see right here under current BIOS we are already updated to the newest version of the BIOS I'm still gonna update it though previously the same thing just to show you how it goes down so when it's updating it we want to make sure our system doesn't lose power because if it does it will corrupt the files and then I'll render the motherboard useless and it's annoying because then you have to fix it or send it back to the manufacturer for repair so just make sure that your systems done lose power during this process and you're all good okay we're done updating it and delete this we want to go back there though because now we have to make sure that our rabbits running at its rated speed so again same process to get there keep pressing delete okay click advance from up here we're gonna go to overclock so if we take a look up here it says ddr4 speed it's only running at 20 133 megahertz right now which is not our rated speed our kit is rated for 3,200 megahertz so we have to make sure we change that because if not we're just throwing our money away under overclock we're gonna go to XMP and we're gonna select profile 1 and now right here adjusted DRAM frequency is now 3,200 megahertz which is what lon so now we just exit out yes okay so everything what our motherboard is done now we need to install the drivers for our graphics cards so we're gonna head over to an videos website and download the GeForce experience program run also all the websites we've been visiting are linked in video description alright so once this pops up still look yes green install all right guys so once we're in here we're gonna go over to drivers and download it and we're gonna be selecting Express installation yup okay we're done with that alright guys now we're ready to get some games installed so a lot of games can be downloaded through Steam if you want to download fortnight and some other games that's through Epic Games Blizzard is for overwatch World of Warcraft and the newly released Call of Duty titles and then for newly released EA titles and apex legends for that we're gonna be downloading origin I'm only gonna use Steam right now as an example for you guys install Steam run yes next install so we're just gonna head over to whatever game we want we're gonna install it next agree alright guys so we're finally done we finished everything now just make sure you restart your system because we installed a lot of things and then we're ready to play we're gonna start it off with some modern warfare 2019 settings were using textures and the filters set to high and then everything else hi guys we're going for that w using only the car it's a small map and it's a pre ferocity of present Oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]
