Best Enemies to Lovers Romance Books [Part 1] | Book Recommendations

hi bug lovers welcome back to my channel you guys love the second-chance romance recommendations video that I made so I thought I'd continue on with more romance tropes and today I'm going to share with you all some of my favorite enemies two lovers romances I had so many favorites on my list that I decided to make multiple videos for it and I'm probably going to end up making more videos for tropes that I've already done so let's get to it also I'm wearing my Penelope Douglas Holloway Series shirts I couldn't tell my friend Michelle she ordered a signed copy of bully for my birthday one year and Penelope just gifted both of us oh my t-shirt it's just so nice I love this one since I'm wearing this shirt I thought I would start off with one of my all-time favorite books bully by Penelope Douglas this book one in the following series this was one of the first any books that I read I remember getting this in the original cover with the red letters when it was free on Amazon so that was quite a while ago I love this book I love the series this is your classic bully romance the hero is a jerk Tate is one of the strongest heroes I've ever read I adore her I absolutely love her character these two used to be childhood best friends until all of a sudden one year take this back to school and Jared pretty much treats her like there was no reason for it he didn't talk to her anything and by least started this book kate has had enough of it and she gives us good as she gets bully is traumatic so intense Jared and Tate and their friends get up to so many shenanigans and even though they really do hate each other you can tell that they don't care about each other there's so much good banter between these two they like to keep each other on their toes but at the heart of it you can tell how much they've grown truly love each other Jared and hate are absolutely meant to be we do get more stories from them we get a second book in the following series is until you which is Jarrod's point of view of bully we also get a little something after high school ends in a flame I know many people probably weren't happy with it but I loved it so if you haven't read this one you absolutely should this is one of my all-time favorite books um I love the series - it's such a good new adult series we're eventually supposed to get a spin-off series about the kids the second generation and I'm so so excited for it and next up is a book by all tration and you probably think it might be vicious although the thumbnail will probably tell you what it is anyway by anyway I know you probably think I should put vicious in here and I mean yes it is a good enemies Tolliver's romance but for some reason that book just never clicked with me I didn't love it like I loved every other LJN book I just struggled so hard with viciousness character I didn't really see him as redeemable but I mean it is a good read I do reread it every once in a while I love the ending but my choice for the enemies - lovers romance is dirty headlines is a fantastic enemies - love is romance set in the journalism industry it's also an office romance a hero and heroine sell Ian I think that's how you pronounce it I don't know and Jude they meet and have a one-night stand once Jude goes to work on her first day she realizes that her one-night stand is her new boss Cillian is your typical rich playboy he doesn't like to get involved in relationships he doesn't catch feelings for anyone but he can't seem to get out of his mind he treats her very harshly in the workplace like doesn't give her any leeway but she doesn't let him kick her down I love their fiery tempestuous relationship they also have some great man's hurt there is so much good chemistry between them and you can see them slowly fall in love with each other as they are forced to work together in proximity and if you love seeing a playboy get knocked down a peg or two you'll love this one and it's like a great combination of enemies to lovers and office romance another enemies to lovers office romance that everyone has probably already read is the hanging game by Sally thorn there's probably not much I can say that everyone hasn't already said it's one of the best it's one of my favorites I loved Rush and Lucy they are hilarious together their hatred for each other is so funny so amusing these two are executive assistants for co-ceos the new job opens up that they both want so they're competing for it this is one of those books that I wish I had like the power to forget what I've read just so I can experience this for the first time all over again Sally thorn sense of humor was so great so funny and I just loved seeing the development of Josh and Lucy from them just glaring at each other across the room at their desk in the office to them like going to care for each other going paintballing together taking care of each other when they're sick just the development of the romance is so sweet so romantic and I just adore these two this next book is a book that I recommend all the time it's one of my favorite fairytale retellings fantasy romances and enemies tell every romance is and that is feast and shining armor by Cassandra Gannon a friend recommended this to me on Twitter and I fell so hard for it this is one of my all-time favorite books ever it is so funny this is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast in this fantasy world there are good folk and bad folk the hero oppenent is a prince but he was born bad so his parents pretty much hated him Belle one of his classmates growing up is his mate but she doesn't know that she is a good folk and she pretty much steals his throne from him once he is sent to jail but now he is out and now he's determined to win back the throne also Bell Bell and Amin on grew up hating each other off and on she was definitely that kind of boy who would pull on her pigtails to make her pay attention to him but it only made her hate him more this is one of my favorite fairytale retellings it is so good I love this author she writes hilarious fantasy romances like these characters are so endearing but over-the-top cassandra Ganon is definitely one of my favorite underrated authors I really wish people knew more about her in her books you're just so much fun to read and if you're looking for something that will make you laugh but also has some great tension definitely read this one next up is my most favorite author ever she wrote coal tea which I debated adding to this list but honestly I consider it more of a friends to Lover's romance so I chose from Luca with love by Mariana thought that this is her figure skating sports romance book a hero and jasmine is a professional figure skater and she is forced to partner up with her greatest enemy who is one of her best friends brothers Luke off they pretty much hated each other rowing up the God would make fun of her she would do something terrible back to him and yes they're grown up but Jasmine still carries resentment against him she sees him as like an arrogant know-it-all the romance is very slow fern as is usual with Mariana Zapata you can see the way like their enemy relationship turns into something more friendly if they start to understand each other more I also love the sports aspect to it this is figure skating which I don't come across too often in romance books so that was so much fun to read I love jasmine and lucam it might not beat my love for cool tea but I still really enjoy it I reread it every once in a while such a good enemies two lovers romance and Mariana sabath I should definitely write more of them this next one is hate to want you by Alicia Rai this is actually more of a second chance romance enemies two lovers so lovers two enemies two lovers which was perfect Marie I really enjoyed this book I really or the series a hero and heroine I believe were childhood sweethearts but something happened and to hear when Libby pretty much runs away and never looks back and once every year they meet up and have sex with each other but now Libby's back she is a Korean American and a tattoo artist which i think is super cool I'm Nicolas and Libby have a lot of hate sex when she's back in town which was pretty hot there is so much good chemistry and tension between these two you can tell how much they still love each other but they still have to deal with a little bit of resentment and hate over the that developed over the years that they were apart the writing is so good I love the family dynamics for both of their families we get more stories in the series this is the first book in the 4-pin the heart series so we get more books with Libby's best friend and Nicholas's younger sister it's such a great series I highly recommend it for some good contemporary romances next up is a fire fighter romance on the here Owen is a firefighter and the hero is the mayor of the city and that is playing with fire by K meter this is actually booked to in the hot in Chicago series and can be read as a standalone but I don't recommend it just cuz we do get a little backstory and something does happen in the first book that continues on in this book but either way the first book is amazing so you should also read it so this one our fire fighter heroine is the only female firefighter in like their district and she pretty much hates the mayor Eli who is too political to smooth-talking for her Eli the mayor is very intrigued by this firefighter she has a ton of sass a lot of spunk and he's also super attracted to her he's too handsome blazing chemistry Eli's main goal is to win the next mayor election and he wants Alex to help him do so by sort of fake dating each other what's so great about the relationship is that Alex pretty much doesn't treat him like everyone else does she isn't like deferential she's not super respectful she pretty much says what she wants to him no matter how she feels about it and yes it does make him mad but it also makes them aroused so these have some great chemistry together they really don't like each other but they can't help but want each other it's a super steamy book Eli might be a mayor but he definitely has a dirty mouth on him I love Kate Meador she has some fantastic contemporary romances like this firefighter series and also like another hockey romance series and I highly recommend this one so my last book in this video is one of the classic romance books this is known as one of the best romance books of all time I only recently read it earlier this year and now I understand why people think it's so brilliant and that is Lord of scoundrel aspire at a chase this is a historical romance fantastic enemies two lovers romance a hero a sebastian is everything you can imagine a break is he's a playboy he coasts through women he doesn't want to ever be with a respectable lady which is everything Jessica is she needs help with saving her brother and the only help she can find is through Sebastian but she knows his reputation she knows how bad and dangerous he can be and when he tries to shock her she doesn't back down from him she has quite the brain and mouth on her she is such an awesome hero and I love her character Jessica and I should have some of the best banter that I've ever read jessica is such a formidable heroine that she kind of scares a Sebastian a little which does turn him on he's never come across such a strong woman before and he's very intrigued by her this is also a bit of a marriage of convenience romance Sebastian may have wanted to be the eternal bachelor but Jessica makes him change his mind this is such a good romance like I said now I know why everyone loves this book so much is a classic it is such a good enemies two lovers romance the best banter here with the best characters I highly highly recommend it even if you don't read historical romance it is definitely one of the best so those were my favorite enemies two lovers books part one I still have so many that I want to share with you all if you've read any of these if you want to read any of these please let me know or share
