what's up and welcome back to the job site uh today we are going to talk about bending fascia on the tapco brake so we'll get the sidewinder loaded up and away we go so this is the sidewinder and it's pretty easy to get loaded up so there's just a little spring in the thing over here we'll take that guy off that is the top roller set that out of the way and then to load it up take this guy and send him through here like such and we'll take the uh spring of the things flip them on the outside of the roll instead of the inside roll it forward a little bit kind of helps out too top let's click her roller in once we've got that kind of loaded up we can carefully cut our tape [Music] and away we go with that [Music] feeder through the first jaw here kind of gotta play the feed game and pull the rest of the tape off at the same time [Music] alrighty so that is that all right so this guy here has uh an inch and a half offset off the break so what we're going to do is there's actually a tape measure on this yellow guy and we'll pull down i want to bend up ten foot pieces so we're going to pull down from the end to 118 inches like that and then i use this side just to make a framing square make sure that this end is squared up here why is it nice baby yes i am [Music] next we want to do our grips down the length we'll be able to get three of them out of the width of this trim coil so we need five inches for our top leg and then we want to do an inch and a half bottom leg and then we want a one inch pen so what we're going to do with the addition of the inch and a half for the cut off tool we need nine inches is our rib inches [Music] there's also some cool brake accessories out there that would make this a whole lot easier but right now then we'll go ahead and we'll slice that piece down now what you guys will see me do in the time lapse version of this where i make up all 260 feet is uh i'll go through and i'll do all of my cuts and rips and i'll stack everything on the back of three and then we'll pull everything down and we'll do our bends but for the sake of a how-to video we will just do these three and then there is our nine inches again [Music] ready to run [Music] so this last one is backwards uh so what we're going to do is we want to rip off of it so we will set the break to three inches [Music] [Music] and then that'll give us a little inch and a half record all right so this piece now we'll just double check it but this piece is now at our oh seven of them so we are good there so this one is a smidget long we're about seven and five eighths but that's not to worry because it's gonna be under the drip edge so our first pen will be uh one inch we're going to go ahead and push that in a little ways that side out to one inch so this will be the start of our pen so we'll fold that one all the way around [Music] out of the brake cinch the brake down now this one is a little tricky the brake has a hinge so let's move you guys over here and we will zoom in on the hinge here so if you guys watch when you go to do the hem you're going to want to actually pick up so that we're going we go to here you can see how the hinge is actually and slides there so i want to pick up and then when we fold it over it'll tighten up our hem see if we can zoom out a little bit now let's see what happens such [Music] a little further like this you can actually cinch it down a little bit tighter there we go now this last bend is only going to be 90 degrees or so and then there is our piece of data all righty so uh i'm gonna get big sick back there cranked up and uh go ahead and bend all these up so i've got 250 feet to bend so i'll probably bend up 250 is a little heavy so i can get three pieces out of the thing so i'll bend 240 feet and then we'll leave it at that for right now we'll install the 240 feet and then if i need one more chunk i'll come in here and bend it but that way i have plenty left over so look forward to the next video we will do a brick ledge cap so that'll be the next in how to break [Music] stuff [Music] [Music] [Music] alrighty that'll wrap her up so hopefully you guys can saw the time lapse i've got a couple hours into it but here is our stack of fascia that is ready to rock and roll uh we will start installing that outside soon we've got a couple cool videos coming up we're going to talk about the dewalt roofing gun with the siding tips adapters for it on how to install vinyl siding after we get the saffit and fascia tied up so soft to facial be next and we will go from there thanks for watching make sure you guys like comment subscribe down below and i'll see you guys in the next video
