I couldn't watch this after a minute. Her voice was extremely annoying.
I didn't finish it, cause this reviewer just goed on an on without getting to a point. (Length: 20+ minutes.) Also, the actual review only starts at 1:26.
A crazy idea struck me when I first watched the new Beast design and reminded me of Pan's Labyrinth. What if they hired Del Toro and let him whatever he want to make with the material? It would have been much different and interesting than the literal remake we ended up got.
The biggest problem with this movie to me was the unnecessary stretching. Taking it from the 1h20m of the original to 2h10m by adding in some frankly awful new songs, adding in unnecessary breaks in the songs so they could set up a shot, adding in some plot lines that doesn't really have any importance or investment from the audience (Belle's mother) to pad it out just ends up diluting the overall experience.
Also, Emma Watson is an awful actress and Luke Evans is nowhere near Gaston. Give me Alison Brie and Bruce Campbell or give me death
Not watching the video, but here to comment about literally the only thing that bothered me in this remake (which, for the most part, I absolutely loved): it's all CGI!! Everything from the castle, to the snow, to some of the scenery backdrops, and then it made scenes like those from the village look like a set. I realize that it is far more feasible to create a CGI replica of the castle from the original movie, and that there are plenty of aspects of this film that couldn't be done properly without CGI, but my God... when did we stop filming on location for things? I would have loved to see this filmed in a beautiful REAL castle, even if it meant it didn't look like the one in the animated film. And I know there are plenty of town squares around the world that would have suited those scenes. Things don't seem authentic anymore, and it saddens me.
