Beautiful 3D Flower Resin Trinket Bowls

hi everyone i'm nadia and in today's video i'm making 3d flower resin trinket bowls the first thing i'm doing is mixing my part a and my part b resin together for a few minutes until there's no more streaks and my resin is clear i already have my molds out and the pigments that i'm going to be using and then i separate my resin into smaller cups to add in those pigments you can use a medium or a high viscosity resin then i poured clear resin into the molds i do my best of making sure that there is an even amount of resin in each mold [Music] and i used a wooden stick to help push the resin to the edges of the molds this was a custom order set of two white and purple trinket bowls as well as two white and gold trinket bowls so i start off by mixing my white pigmented resin and i'm using depon's ocean wave pigment paste i make sure to mix the pigment in the container first before i add a small amount into my cup of resin you can use my code summer girl to save ten percent off of deepon's website i'll leave a link below next i'm using just resins pigment paste in the shade bright gold i also have a discount code summer girl to their website and i'll leave everything in the description as well as product links that you see in this video next i'm using vitro's transparent pigment in the shade red violet i use a torch gun to pop any air bubbles and make sure you're moving your torch gun very quickly so that you don't burn your resin or your silicone molds and i start off with the red violet pigmented resin and i pour it into the shape of flower petals and i do the same with the gold pigmented resin then i pour my white pigmented resin [Music] i used a small wooden stick to drag through the resin from the edge into the center in between each flower petal and do a little swirl motion in the center and i just take some gold leaf flakes with my same wooden stick and add it into the center and here i am de-molding the next day both sides came out really nice and usually i would use the bottom side but for this custom order the top side looked more like what the customer had wanted so i decided to use that side i demolded them a bit late so they weren't very bendy and they were difficult to shape into a bowl depending on the type of resin you're using and its pot life you can de-mold anywhere from eight hours and you should be able to shape it into a bowl however a quick tip if you've demolded too late like i have is that you can heat up your piece with a heat gun which will cause the resin to soften and it'll be a lot easier to shape into a bowl i believe i had demolded this the next day so definitely over 12 hours has passed if not even 24. after i've softened each one i place them into a small bowl another tip that i would suggest is to place something between your bowl and your resin piece so that the resin doesn't get stuck onto the bowl i believe plastic wrap is the easiest to use but you can also try to use baking paper you'll see later in the video since i forgot to do that for these some of my pieces got stuck onto the bowl and i had a hard time removing them i placed something on top of each piece and the tape around the whole bowl to ensure that it stays in place however if you de-mold your piece earlier then it's a lot more flexible you probably won't even need to put anything on top i allowed them to sit like that for a few days and here i am removing the tape as i mentioned previously because i didn't put anything between the resin piece and the bowl some of my pieces got stuck and what i did in this case was i soaked it in warm water for around 10 minutes and then i was able to remove it a lot easier lastly i add a gold trim with a gold adding marker [Music] and here's the final product thank you guys so much for watching if you liked this video subscribe to see more videos like this in the future follow me on my instagram summergirldesigns and my mom's instagram wild heart resin art
