hi it's Tanya from my forking life and today we're in the kitchen and we're making your favorite ribs in an air fryer yes y'all you can make ribs in an air fryer in about 40 minutes all right now of course there might be an additional time if you want to marinate your ribs for a little while to get that flavor to come through but I'm just gonna show you how I do my ribs when we want a quick weeknight meal we'll just get a rack we'll put them in the airfryer and we'll let it get done alright so don't forget to hit that subscribe button if you want to follow along for more videos and if you like this video give me a thumbs up please alright let's go ahead and get started so first thing what I'm gonna do at this point is remove the membrane from the ribs the reason why we do this to be honest I don't know why we will remove the membranes but somebody told me to do it and I do it alright so I've got a homemade barbecue rub that I also have on the website and I am going to sprinkle this over my ribs now you can use whatever barbecue rub you want to use but this one we absolutely love I use it on my pulled pork as well I also use it on my chicken or anything that requires a nice barbecue rub ribs ribs ribs alright and now that those ribs are fully fully covered I'm going to set those to the side that is some Kelly according okay and go upstairs because you're making once a miner all right so I've washed my hands and now I have gone ahead and preheated my air fryer now the reason why I've gone ahead and preheated my hair fryer is because generally when I'm cooking meats in the air fryer depending on the day and what kind of meat I'm eating I like to preheat it so that the meat actually doesn't stick so for these ribs I'm going to go ahead and preheat it because when I put them in the airfryer I'm gonna put them in skin side down I'm not adding any oil to these ribs or anything of that sort what I'm gonna do though is put them in the air fryer and generally it's our belief my husband believes us too that if you pre-heat your air fryer sometimes the chances of your meat sticking does go down whoopsie you can hear that sizzle as I place these air fryer the air fryer ribs in the basket show you that a little bit better and as you can see I've placed these meat side down where I've got the ribs facing up go ahead and put this in our air fryer for about 20 minutes and then we're gonna come back 20 minutes on 380 degrees and then we're gonna come back and football it's been 20 minutes our ribs have been cooking on three hundred and eighty degrees three hundred and eighty degrees with the meat side down I'm gonna go ahead and pull them and flip them at this time what you'll notice is that our ribs are nice and golden but they're not burnt or anything which is good and we're gonna go ahead and give those a nice little flip to get the other side cooked now just a quick note for you guys the one reason like I said I've cooked all different kind of ribs I've done the oven method where it was low and slow I've done the pressure cooker method where it was a little bit faster and to be honest we prefer this method well I'll say I still love the oven method on the low and slow and we also like the airfryer method because they're not fall fall off the bone and my husband who is huge on ribs doesn't like bones to completely fall to bowl we do want them tender so that they easily are easy to bite but we don't want them like falling off the bone we actually prefer that for a pulled-pork but you know to each its own and that so these ribs are gonna end up tender they're just not gonna be like the ones when you pick them up and the meat just falls right off all right I'm over here playing a lot okay so as you can see I've turned the meat over I'm gonna put these back in the air fryer on three hundred and eighty degrees for another ten minutes all right I'll be back all right so our timer has just gone off and we're gonna go ahead and get our ribs and what we're gonna do at this point is based our ribs with a little bit of barbecue sauce all right so as you can see those ribs are beautiful but I'm gonna add a little bit of barbecue sauce I've got my homemade barbecue sauce but you can use whatever barbecue sauce that you absolutely love and I'm gonna actually take a little bit of this dump it in there dump some of that on my ribs give it a nice good slathering and I'm gonna go ahead and just spray that on there and I'm gonna put this back in the air fryer I'm gonna crank up the degrees to 40 degrees and I'm gonna let that cook for about five minutes you could of course coat both sides I'm just going to do this side put it in there back in our airfryer so our timer has just gone off on our ribs and I'm gonna go ahead and pull them from the airfryer and place them on a cutting board which you guys would get a nice look at how beautiful those ribs are in there go ahead and take them out over I think these are perfect and that is why we waited to the last five minutes to add our barbecue sauce and I'm actually gonna add more sauce to that because I like saucy ribs and I kind of just rub some more gets those ribs extra saucy now these are super hot so I'm gonna wait a little while before I actually get my knife and cut into him and then I'm gonna show you how nice and tender these are again these aren't gonna fall off the bone so don't be like oh why are they following up the bond but they are gonna be nice and tender all right so I'm gonna let these rest for about five minutes because they are way too hard to eat right now all right so it's been about five minutes and I am no longer patient I'm gonna go ahead and cut into these ribs and I'm gonna cut them into you know like maybe two inch pieces grab a knife you cut through I don't want to show you close-ups so again you don't want the meat to necessarily fall off the bone but definitely gonna go good and if you're like me you just pick up the rib and you take bite so I still gives you that little bit of tug mmm still gives you that little bit of tug but it's not like following off like full port but it's definitely done and tender ribs now if you want fall off the bone ribs then you're gonna need to go to either your smoker or grill or your low and slow in the oven or even in your insta pot you can get fall-off-the-bone tender ribs however this is just what we prefer we prefer the tender yet still with a little bit of bite type of ribs and if you want to do that and you don't want to take a lot of time then you could definitely do it in your air fryer all right so that's it there you have it air fryer ribs if you like this video again don't forget to give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe for more videos my hands are really barbecuing so I'm gonna go ahead and take care of that and I'm gonna go ahead and take care of these ribs all right and so the next time bye
