the Battle of Waterloo was fought in 1815 after the 6th collisions occupation of Paris Napoleon abdicated as French Emperor and was exiled to alper island that monarchy was reinstated and lure the 80,000 soldiers including Germans and Dutch 10,000 cavalry and a hundred fifty cannons Willington sent soldiers to occupy the farm houses of huger months and LaHaye st. the remains of the Prussian army around 50,000 men that were going to join Wellington had not yet arrived and were marching to Waterloo the battle started at 11:00 a.m. with the French Foreign can expand thirty minutes later suddenly British heavy cavalry appeared hit by over 2,000 forces the French formation collapsed and they began to retreat the cavalry cut through the fleeing soldiers and quickly killed large numbers infused with their success they continued up to the French canons slaughtering the Gunners but out of position and unprotected the cavalry were open to attack Napoleon's infantry began shooting at them and French Lancers raced out to join the attack many British horsemen were killed and the rest were only saved when a light cavalry unit came to their rescue with the Prussians approaching Napoleon sent all men in cavalry to stop them he also ordered further attempts to gain possession of both human and LaHaye saints although these efforts were unsuccessful needing victory before the Prussians arrived the French commander marshal ney decided a cavalry charge might break the Allied line French artillery resumed firing as five thousand horsemen lined up in response Wellington Napoleon and the majority of his army fled the battlefield at the end of the battle the British and Prussians had combined losses of around 23,000 men the French lost 25,000 with many more taken prisoner this was a victory for the British Waterloo was Napoleon's final defeat captured by the British shortly after he was perfectly exiled to the island of st.
