Band Teacher Reacts to Polyphia G.O.A.T

hey there everybody and welcome to another one of my videos today's video is a reaction video to the group politia playing the song goat if you've never heard these guys play before you are in for a treat these are some amazing musicians and i'll give you my take on everything that we hear and see if we're meeting for the first time my name is bob ceslinski and i am a band director and i make youtube videos to entertain and share all of my musical knowledge with you let's get right to today's video so i'm pretty excited this is prolifia playing the song goat let's just get into this video and let's see what this band is all about [Music] i like this beginning with the toy piano kind of sound a little innocent sounding [Music] all right i'm gonna back up a little bit here i love the visuals that they have there where the screen just kind of flips upside down and and then we we see a different version of the guitar player unbelievable did you see his his left hand on the fretboard my gosh it's like a little spider crawling up and down that that fretboard how quick his fingers are [Music] oh [Music] did you hear that drummer and and the bass player so tight so tight and just such complicated rhythms and to keep that together like that that takes some some major major chops [Music] if you're listening to the background with the bass player and the drummer you're just hearing all these complicated feels underneath all of this lush melodic guitar stuff that's going on it's just crazy check it out i'll back it up here listen [Music] i like that visual effect that they're doing here too where the guy that's kind of got the lead he he plays for a little bit and then he gets up and he walks and then the camera just kind of zooms in on the instrument as they pass by and then it reveals the next player that's going to be playing like we just did with guitar player and now the bass player and i hope you're still listening for the drummer and the bass player just how they're just nailing all this complicated stuff and all these fills and they are just so tight which just makes it so much easier for all the musicians to stay together and make this just an unbelievable special song so let's check out the bass solo i can only imagine that this is going to be just [Music] [Applause] wow [Music] we're backing up we're backing up the drummer with his bass drum pedal and the bass player they are so in sync and just playing so good together it's so hard to distinguish between the two of them listen listen to how the the the bass in the drum and the bass player are just kind of thumping here together and it's just something thump and who's playing they're just so together check this out and those are some complicated rhythms just not you know a note or two it's some wicked stuff [Music] oh [Music] oh that's that's crazy that's crazy how good that drummer can play all that stuff my my my brain can't even comprehend how many notes you just played uh that that is so wicked so wicked they are just beasts [Music] you know another thing i like about these guys you just kind of saw right there as we we kind of come into them here they don't even care that you're watching they are literally just jamming with each other and we're just kind of along for the ride they you they just love playing that's just unreal [Music] did you hear that little uh guitar feel that he just played there i'll play that again listen do you see his fingers watch this again look how quick his fingers are on the fretboard on his left hand it doesn't even look like he's he's pushing he's just sunrail [Music] what an ending they're just they're just all just wow and the drummer is just nailing all these complicated poly rhythms and and then they just turn around like yeah there's just another day i hope you enjoy this video today today was just an entertaining fun video i thought i'd share these guys with you they're a favorite group of mine i love listening to them they just they kill it every time they play a song make sure in the comments below let me know what you thought about this video and if there's another group that you would like me to do a reaction video to just let me know what they are down in the comments if you like the video hit the like button it helps the video go higher in the youtube algorithm and that way it gets spread out so that other people can see this and enjoy the content too make sure to subscribe to my channel and hit the notification bell that way you get all my new videos as soon as they're released thanks for watching and i'll see you in my next video
