Band of Brothers Part 3 | "Carentan" | REACTION

hello we're now watching episode 3 of the band of brothers so in the last episode they have now done the d-day landing and have uh winter's lightest people into that small unit action against our artillery position and they've won came out ahead even at the cost of uh several people and a guy that he randomly met up that's the thing with these small unit actions they just randomly pick up whoever they need to because you know the chaos you have to grab anyone you can i guess and so i guess in this episode they're going to be dealing with the uh if i remember correctly in episode one they mentioned something about a german garrison they have to wipe out and i don't linky so uh yep we are going to go right at it oh yeah [Music] oh yeah they have to fly through our town i think this one they mentioned something about it oh yikes that's gonna be hell i think i was probably one of them i think i was just as scared as anybody else except i could think disappearing you would no i would not [ __ ] i just realized all these people are probably dead by now 20 years ago yep you don't know how they're 80 or 90 years old so this is two days after the landing normandy normandy yep so this is when they meet matt damon what blue sky after the whole show was shot like you know in a grim looking [Music] they don't know why i'm too uh meehan the guy in charge because winter's his default command oh that's his behind uh disappeared he probably died in the landing join the club okay so they're all from the same company easy company well life's not so easy i'm sure someone made that joke a million times when they're in that company while they're in training that's just so weird to hear the war going on in the background they're just chill standing around by that point they're probably immune to it yeah very numb i saw him last episode there's just hands like a little uh unlike the preview so it is like a little beard there because i haven't had time to shave such a good detail sounds like fun remember boys give me three days and three nine eight supply fighting and you will be relieved live glad you could join us thank you sir the first platoon falling behind fox i don't know what he's been through he's so cool man they're not even reacting to gunfire they're just like whatever completely numb to it [Music] if it gets closer they'll probably punch up [Music] man he looks like uh he's in a different mood everyone else everyone else is like more relaxed it seems like well it's survivors anyway hmm [Music] it's also summer so it's probably really humid really ideal weather for mosquitoes what is it that's right that all about well then is he okay go back the way he's just looking at him jesus [ __ ] christ dead private did you find fox company have been very recent because he saw that flashlight or something oh yeah that's true he did i think i'm okay probably scared but he definitely was if he was scared then he would have just sat out supposedly the guy was drunk and refused to go on a patrol who knows if it's true god who knows what rumors they heard in the war you said an eyewitness told him i already didn't do it [Music] oh beautiful shot yeah assuming this is great look at them they look very out of place in the grass i wonder if that's on purpose i'm saying that we're never in the middle and we're the fifth of nine companies of this region able to item think they were too happy [Music] i felt like something was gonna happen [Music] yeah [Music] wow that was fast oh yeah what dumbass though what's the news yeah dehydration's a soldier's worst enemy that's true take some water me too i knew that town was too easy yeah that was too easy okay i'll survive how is it it hurts i'm sorry i didn't mean to he looked like a crowd there's uh the only hope you have is to accept the fact that you're already dead and the sooner you accept that the sooner you'll be able to function as a soldier supposed to function man he's out of focus it has to be deliberate like he's completely out of focus while he's in focus a very interesting camera choice there i think they just want us to listen to what he has to say oh there is it's bill i'll make them higher okay i was totally wrong [Music] oh [ __ ] tanks [Music] i put too much warts on there i know exactly what that tank is what are supposedly about the tanks they don't have any any tank [Music] oh wow [Music] oh my god [Music] fine that looks like hell it are you hit by then yeah there comes the calvary [Laughter] this is the first time i feel like i've seen like a tank battle or it's like a little calmer i like fury very really hollywood today [Music] i'll wrestle with that guy jesus while they show that that poor guy [Music] [Applause] he'll never know if he got him well actually oh my god that was a relentless assault on our senses oh they did that with no earplugs [ __ ] how guns were loud as [ __ ] and when i was doing the gun range i can't imagine hey buddy who wants to go blind by volunteers right oh yep i'll go [Music] he's transformed completely [Music] oh wow okay that seems anti-climactic with some more episodes i suspect that they're not actually going to uh going home just yet does blythe get to go home then because he's probably gonna shine the neck oh [ __ ] [Music] say general taylor was pleased [Music] that's why i came to france oh my god i've got so many people to go through though for that blizz huh oh the guy who got shot in the butt but did something else happen to him because he said he only gets one maybe so we'll get something [Music] all passes are hereby revoked anyone who has not made out a will go to the supply office not can you imagine by the way you need a will for sure yeah no you're in the army so you have to do that right [Music] i'll take it thank you oh out of like a 100 120 i don't remember how many companies oh that's nice all right so that is it for episode three uh i like when it came to winter's wood he only had one word hurts stiff sore he's just he's a very straightforward guy ah poor blight yep they gave him a story though yeah that's interesting i wonder if they went through like stories and all the men who fought in this who who were part of easy company and they decide to incorporate some of their stories yes cause these are real people yeah so general taylor was definitely in charge of the uh 506 i think i remember reading his name somewhere for sure like he might be in charge of the airborne general taylor he's the guy the whole thing the pleasing dude yeah wow that was a heavy episode too as we saw yeah they really show the effects of uh war yeah ptsd on them yep yeah i can't even blame blyth for acting the way he does yeah yeah training is one thing but actually getting into combat is different yeah you don't know what you act like when the combat happens exactly i'm probably scared [ __ ] this if i was to do that your muscle memory could only do so much yeah and they probably back then didn't really think much about mental side yep and more like whatever if you're not fighting you're not tough enough yep don't be a coward yeah that's what spears was all about lieutenant spears i mean when he was talking to boyce he's like you can't be compassion you're already dead [ __ ] yeah that's how i'm sure that's how some of them cope that's definitely how he copes yeah otherwise if he stops to think about it the repercussions of war yeah we'll catch up with you yeah i'm gonna confuse how many lieutenants they have you got winters you got knicks you got a spears you got i'm not sure if spirits is part of their platoon part of their company a little confused by that uh and then there's a harry who winter was talking with who's also in charge so wow how many people did he need for that many people in the company for that matter how many how many companies are battalion and how many people are in a company around 100 i think for a hundred people in a company so if that's the case they lost 65 million that was half the company probably holy cow this assuming it's 100 maybe it might be 120 i don't know the exact number what's what's a sherman a sherman's tank yeah somebody said here comes the sherman's that's the uh i think your name is that one well no because i figured i had nicknames i'm not good at history but i figured i had nicknames for everyone krauts jerry so i don't know if sherman was another term for something else the sermons are the names of the uh the tanks the americans only had shermans and uh something else that came way later in the war um what else and sherman is the name of the general sherman in the civil war who destroyed the south when he went through it yeah so they named it after that just like general sheridan was named after certain things yeah or grant yeah i think they named the tank after after uh grant as well i don't remember oh but yes really kind of like chaotic episode yeah falling to combat is a little difficult with all the camera work it's almost a little too shaky but i feel like that's pretty much what real combat would be like i think you have no idea what the hell is going on yeah you know who's who as long as you can tell that person's american that person's german then that's all that matters kill the nazis yeah so i hope you guys enjoyed this reaction for episode three and we'll see you guys for the next one i mean there's not really much plot uh theorizing to talk about since it's you know women world war two it's not we know who won and we're just along for the ride to see what happens in the unit so uh anyways take care
