wow hey guys and welcome back to another lost fits video right here on tetrabig gaming the series where we explore video game content that goes unused altered or normally unseen ah bald buffoon we meet again it's been a long while since i made my original baldi's basics lost bits video which got way more support than i could have ever expected i haven't really played the game since then but apparently quite a few things have been altered added and the like and also the early access version of the full game came out recently too now i'll leave all these basics plus for a future video as it's still going to be frequently updated so for this video we'll be going back to the classic version and going over several new things that have been discovered or added in since my last video and oh yeah did i mention i have the absolute pleasure of actually having the game's developer mistman12 helping out and answering a few questions in today's video so enough talk go grab your notebooks stop running in the halls it's time again to do some quick math and find some lost bits alright so first up there are several what appear to be rooms in baldi's school that were believed to have never gotten implemented when seeing the 3d model of the game's map a total of six unimplemented rooms can be seen one here surrounding the janitor's closet one here and then two on the top left and two on the bottom right respectively of the cafeteria although these layouts can be seen in the model they aren't actually visible in the game and according to mistman contrary to what was once thought this is because these aren't actually what they seem so those rooms aren't actually rooms at all they're actually just pieces of the triggers you use to control arts and crafters there are actually eight triggers total and when you enter one arts and crafters will head to a predetermined location based on the trigger you entered so yeah there we go myth busted i guess these aren't actually rooms at all all right next up if you've played the game you're well familiar with the seven notebooks that you have to collect in the game to normally get to the ending well it was discovered that each of these notebooks actually had a certain school subject attached to it green would be english blue would be spelling red would be history yellow geography black would be science pink math and teal geology now all of these subjects were once planned to be implemented into questions in the game but this was ultimately scrapped for two main reasons a time constraints and b misman felt that certain questions could alienate players from other regions around the world especially in subjects like english and american history instead he felt sticking to more basic universal things like math was the best chorus to take now missed man were there any other subjects never implemented into the game in some way or do you have any examples of potential questions for these other subjects the only other subject that i did any work on was spelling i actually still have a recording of bali's intro for that subject but that's it now miss man was also nice enough to share this unused audio file with me i hope you like bees because it's time for spelling answer the three questions correctly then you might get something special i don't think i've seen this audio documented anywhere before and this is apparently meant for the spelling questions that were once planned to be in the game so that's pretty cool and speaking of unused audio there are a few more unused audio bits that have been found since my last video so the first of these is an unused audio file found left over in the birthday bash update of the game i'll uh let it explain itself and you might wanna turn down your volume for this one can the parrot sound like me this is apparently an older file that really had nothing to do with parrots and it was just an old recording this man made a long time ago and had simply just thrown it into the game for testing reasons and lastly before playing just a buzzing noise the tape recorder item prior to the version 1.1 update to the game had instead played one of five tutorial-like messages these kinda acted in a similar way to how the phone guy works in some of the five nights at freddy's games now in the interest of time i obviously won't be playing all of these messages but i'll give you a short example here if you're okay this then there's still a chance um i should probably give you some pointers uh also this is it's tape recording one um if you can hear this i already said that listen you're gonna need i'm gonna need some tips um most important thing the the teacher the baldy guy you gotta don't let him touch you i'm curious why were these tutorial tapes removed and replaced is this deeper lore something that might get revisited in the future there are two main reasons why i removed the tutorial tapes one reason was that i noticed that people who were playing the game back in that very first version they weren't really paying attention to what was being said in the tapes they just kind of keep playing the game but i didn't seem like they were actually really listening or learning from the tapes the other reason was because the tapes even at that point in the game were still used to distract baldy but having just kind of you know audio someone talking didn't really make that clear so that's why i placed a tape with a tone it just made it a bit more obvious that it was doing something to baldy besides that the dialogue and the tapes were completely unnecessary uh at that point of the game's development i had no intentions to have any sort of serious lore or story so it was just a bunch of nonsense used as sort of goofy red herring a kind of way to poke fun at games like five nights at freddy's which have similar stuff and next up let's move along to some unused graphics in the early demo versions of the game leftover is an unused collection of seemingly random images these images include one of the eiffel tower in paris some leaves images for calibrating colors and contrast a screenshot from a commodore 64 some cherry blossoms and some coffee beans for a long time no one has had any idea what these could be used for care to share some light mr missed man so these images are actually just images that come with a crt filter unity asset i tried out for a while so no these images don't have any significance they're just leftovers from a unity asset i didn't end up using and while we're talking graphics there are also some early placeholder graphics that have been updated or removed the first of these is a loading screen image featuring the bus from the camping demo then we got placeholder graphics for doors with the word door written on it makes sense then there are these placeholder textures for the floors walls and ceilings red for the floor green for the walls and blue for the ceiling and these textures namely the green ones could actually be seen in early development footage of the game and lastly there's this yeah this weird smudged mug of baldi is a placeholder image for the prizes that the player is to obtain after completing the camping field trip eventually this same image went on to be used as the icon for the challenges and full game public demo versions of the game next in my last baldy video we went over this guy who has since been found to be named placeface and has become a recurring secret through different versions of the game's demo this includes hiding behind the door here with only his eyes visible between two no signs in the field trip demo here in the glitch school in the birthday bash edition and finally the last one which is my favorite ever since the version 1.4.1 update to the classic edition if the player inputs the secret code 31718 into the you can think pad they will be teleported to a hidden area simply known as the test room here the floor walls and ceiling all have a crude place the holder texture and there are actually two place faces here one just sits in place while the other one will follow the player around although it was really creepy at first seeing this large fella stalk me it turns out he's pretty much harmless now as far as the code to get here goes at first i thought it was like one of those old flipping the calculator upside down tricks and it spelled out billy which i thought huh maybe that's play space's real name or something but it turns out that it's way more likely that this is just a reference to the date march 17 2018 the date that missed man first started working on baldi's basics classic i gotta say this is one of the coolest and eeriest little secrets that i think i've come across in a while there's also another secret code that can be entered into the you can think pad that i didn't go over in my previous video the code is 5304-5009 which results in a secret message use these to stick to the ceiling then right after the entire game minus the heads up display gets flipped turned upside down and this secret code actually is apparently one of those flip the calculator numbers things as the code is thought to spell out gu shoes both gooey shoes as well as rotating a calculator upside down just makes flipping the game make sense i suppose so a lot of secrets have been found in your games missed man are there any other secrets that you've hidden that fans haven't yet discovered actually i think there might be because i can't find anybody talking about it online at least from what's little googling i've done but there is a hidden thank you message in the game i'd be surprised if no one's found it yet but like i said i i did a little bit of googling and i can't seem to find any uh anyone who has mentioned anything about it and lastly for this video i asked miss man if he had any other bits of unused content he'd be willing to share that haven't yet been documented to this he sent me a loan audio file titled sb recording 11 715 and here is what this recording had i'm testing this again because it crashed and now i will do my body welcome to baldi's basics and understanding and learning welcome to bali's basics and education and learning you'll have lots of fun here i just know it make sure you get good grades otherwise well let's just say now this is a very early recording that miss man made as a test for baldi's basics intro this man told me that back then his plan was to develop this game for the 3ds using smile basic and this recording was made on a program someone made to use with smile basic which is why the quality is pretty low and this he tells me is actually apparently the first and earliest official piece of baldi's basics history that missed man has dating back to november 7 2015 several years before the first demo was released i strongly doubt that at the time he could have even imagined just how popular the game would turn out to be [Music] and that my friends wraps up this lost bits video on baldi's basics classic and i hope you enjoyed it as always if you did be sure to drop a like down below and check out some more
