let's do a fun holiday science experiment we're gonna make a baking soda christmas tree obviously first you need baking soda we're gonna put all of it over here okay so next use 1 4 cup of water and you can use any color you want but for a christmas tree i'm gonna use green next let's mix it together but i'm going to use gloves because i don't want to get dirty mix it with the water to mix mix mix i'm mixing them all together look guys everything's almost green next add in some glitter or anything you like that's a lot okay then i'm going to add some of this oh that's a lot whoa next mix it again yourself a party hat or anything that is shaped like a cone and put the baking soda inside flip it over make sure your hand is over like this [Music] whoa put it in the refrigerator sorry guys i'm at freezer put it overnight or for a few hours so my mom actually pre-made these for me and she said there's a surprise inside there's a green one and a rainbow one i'm gonna make it look like snow so i'm gonna put baking soda all around here here here baking soda everywhere i have warm water and vinegar we're gonna see which one reacts better okay first i'm gonna try the warm water when i see something it's a gingerbread man i think i'll get him out this time yeah i got gingerbread man now test out the vinegar okay three two one [Music] oh yes baking soda we're juicing vinegar it's gonna make a reaction i think this one's way stronger okay guys i'm gonna pour the whole thing now oh it's touching the other one whoa wait i see something it's a reindeer guys don't worry randy here i'm coming for you double vinegar hot water into the vinegar then it's gonna be hot vinegar then boom extra straw whoa i got them out yay my mom says there's actually two more surprises let's find them and i just took out a big part so i think i'm gonna do that with this part too okay oh what's there one more one more yeah i'm gonna dump the whole thing now i'm gonna form all of the warm waters whoa that's super strong i see something [Music] it's santa yeah santa okay guys there should be one more here wait i see something i'm gonna save you oh there's something here no wait where'd it go no [Music] guys i'm using a spoon oh i found something it's a mitten i hope you enjoyed my baking soda christmas tree science experiment hey guys today we're going to show you five fun activities you can do at home on the holidays the first one is pulling tissue out of tissue box i think the rules are whoever takes out all of the tissues first wins and only one tissue at a time you guys ready yeah one two three go back here it's all about the rhythm guys there's one more yes the next challenge is whoever puts the most light bulbs into rudolph basket wins all right ryan's gonna be green i'm gonna be red yeah ten chances before his daddy said he was gonna get [Music] i won i was thinking a lot farther wow so me and daddy are tied for one the next challenge is to get a paper plate put it on your head and then draw whatever you want so this time we're gonna draw snowman that's gonna be so hard because we can't even see you guys ready yes snowman oh boy i have no clue the tsunami i always have the two snowballs right oh i already forgot where i drew i have to still draw okay nose and hand oh you actually look pretty good really okay nice look at mine great one oh but i was somewhat right it's like the eye and nose still there but then you put your hand inside your body [Music] ryan i'm sorry to say but i think daddy won this round good job daddy next challenge is shoveling snow only a spoon well it's actually a cotton that does look like a snow right all right let's start say go oh oh it's so hard to get it okay i got one oh i almost got three on one i got three i think i might win this challenge i still have two there's a trick to it ryan you just have to live 32 years like daddy oh my god oh my god you're the master of the spoon scooping oh 30 seconds 1 2 3 4 five six seven eight nine nine one two three four five six seven eight i won [Music] so we're now gonna do guess what's inside the box challenge so mommy already put something inside and we're gonna shake it and we're gonna see if we can guess what's inside could be anything it could be dinosaur inside wait oh wait oh i got it it is not dinosaur it feels like a plastic [Music] oh wait i think i know but i don't know what it's called okay when i count one two three you guys yell out what do you think it is you guys are ready i don't know what it's called one two three block cute cute yeah that's what i thought you think shape thing [Music] none of you guys got a point it's okay i have one more that's easy are you ready okay turn around turn around turn around here you go round ready guys bells [Music] oh daddy i think i know what it is it's chess pieces yeah oh yeah okay i think i got it okay you ready yeah okay one two three that's what the string thing bell wait what is this mommy you say it's easy is it easy i guess it is a bell oh and it's got a string too yeah it's dealt with the string thing oh i guess ryan's more right yeah you won yay how do you know whoa this is an awesome christmas maze i wonder who made it but first let's test it out welcome to ryan's world [Music] oh this starts right here so i gotta start with the marble right here oh and i have to end it up right here and i can't touch the marble i have to move this whole thing to moving level and i think i know the correct path [Music] oh no this is gonna be hard to get the correct spot well what oh i did it [Music] oh no the marble fell off i can use another marble that's okay [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Applause] lego maze but where did it come from peck hey ryan i made this lego maze for you whoa you made this lego maze for me thank you pack but pack how did you do it i will show you how it was fun all right peck i'm here i have my christmas gear on i'm ready to help you with your gift for ryan and come here you are you sure you don't need any help yeah i got this i just got to put this piece oh whoopsie okay you know what you need some help i i'll just i'll help you build this plus i have all the good christmas colors oh gosh show us how it's done bree well for starters we have our base and we have our marble but we don't really have a maze set up yet so whoa first let's start with the lego border to keep the marble in next we need to make a few dead ends how about some of those and yeah some more dead ends too make sure you put down some tricky ramps let's make a safe finish line with the christmas tree yeah this is looking quite spectacular all right and i think that's done what do you think about the maze pack yay it's so cool oh but you know what it's missing it could use some decorations wait that's what i was gonna say first thing we're gonna start with of course is santa he's gonna be at the very beginning because we're gonna help santa get this gift all the way through the maze under the tree yeah of course we can't forget santa's cookies he has to have a snack nearby how's that what about a tree and maybe a little present oh that's so cute i have the perfect thing for this dead end this sad little l and you can go here happy little elf with the cute little bear oh and you can go here with your cute little hammer let's see what's behind the door let's put presents around the tree this maze is amazing it's all done but how does it work again well it's really simple you just start by santa let's go around each peg and then we're gonna go all the way oh no not to the saddle uh let's go through the pegs there you go and then corner corner corner all the way around through the arch go all the way around what's behind the door hi elf and then we're gonna make our way to the tree well we're almost ready to send it to ryan but for quality assurance i think i need to test it out first so let's see we start at santa and let's see oh okay easy does it oh no not the sad elf okay we need to come back let's see whoa whoa can we make it all the way down okay this is very tricky all right let's see hey we can stop and get us some cookies snack time all right oh no be careful with the ramp okay let's see how am i gonna get under the arch come on just a little bit ah perfect oh no oh that was so close knock knock knock mr elf knock knock coffee i don't want any coffee goodbye mr elf all right we're almost to the tree just a little bit more well not that guy all right let's see and one two three that was so much fun now i can take it over to ryan and he can try it out or we can just try it like one or two more times i mean you know just to make sure we have a very strict deadline bree it's almost christmas and ryan has been very patient so we gotta get it over quick all right fine whoa that's so cool peck i have an idea i'm gonna see how fast daddy can go on this let's go get daddy daddy what is it ryan look peck built me a lego mint i want to see how fast you can finish it wow this looks really cool is that christmas theme i like it but you can't touch the marble you have to like shake it around okay got it oh i see the finish line let's see if i can do it oh oh this one's really hard because you gotta go this way and then you're gonna go there you go going this way this way [Music] wait did you see that i skipped i jumped the wall [Music] ah where's the finish that oh [Music] [Laughter] [Applause] what no thank you peck for building us this diy lego maze yeah this maze is perfect diy present for holiday bye thank you for watching remember or stay happy and rise right bye [Music] [Music] i want you to take one finger both of you put in the ice and see who last the longest oh it's cold once you got your layer of fat around you dip it into the ice again again let's see how long it lasts let's see if it's a good insulator oh i don't feel it much yeah welcome to ryan's world [Music] hey guys today we're gonna learn how animals like polar bears and seals survive in cold environments so the first thing we're going to do is do an experiment okay so have a bow here full of watery ice i want you to take one finger both of you put in the ice and see who last the longest oh it's cold yeah it is cold let's see [Music] i'm gonna push the ice next to daddy ah no i can't oh it's too cold next imagine if you're an animal okay who lives in arctic or antarctica and your environment is always icy cold like this how will you survive maybe buy some coat right yeah gucci coat gucci coat but animals can't buy cokes what are they gonna do that's true [Music] build the ball build the mall in the top the uh in the north pole all right build a what feel them all that's an idea yeah but the way that they've been surviving is actually because their skin has a layer of fat around them i don't know i got some layers of fat in my skin but they have a lot more so we're gonna do another experiment okay so this here does this one involve putting our hands and fingers again yes but again but this here is um shortening people use it to bake and cook but it actually contains fat inside okay oh okay first i want you to do is take some of the shortening and put it inside a ziploc bag okay here you go okay well then this spoon goes perfectly down [Music] be careful don't be shy animals like the polar bears have a lot of layers of fat around them it's called blubber blubber too maybe [Music] oh there you go like a bunch like this here we go it's interesting because this is soft it's not warm or anything right yeah that makes a good insulator so let's see next use an empty plastic bag as your glove there you go okay unless you want to get your hand dirty full of shortening if you don't want to then you just use that yeah okay then dig your hand into the layer of fat okay oh okay there you go dig it in there yeah they're weird it plays like oh oh oh no oh no you got your hand dirty once you got your layer of fat around you dip it into the ice again again let's see how long it lasts let's see if it's a good insulator oh it's okay let's see okay go [Music] i don't feel it much yeah i only feel uh coldness where the where you don't have the layer of fat yeah no what do you guys think did it help definitely help yeah let's see let's see who wins i'm gonna turn mine around so then i can oh wow how long you last now all day 20 years 20 years yeah so that's how animals like polar bears survive in the winter yeah yeah because they have a layer of fat around them but maybe they have like five times what we're doing right now maybe yeah so because they have this layer of fat like this called blubber around them they don't get as cold yeah turn it around again i'm just turning it around so if you go to somewhere cold you should get a fat suit heard it from daddy fat food fat suit yeah and be covered in two plastic bags i already got a catchphrase that's it keeps you warm so while daddy and ryan are trying to figure out how long they last here's some more fun animal facts for you guys roll the clip [Music] welcome to fun animal facts with me off alexa polar bears have white fur so they can camouflage or blend in with their environment polar bears are even good swimmers they can swim for many days at a time penguins are the fastest swimmers and deepest diving species of birds and they can stay underwater for up to 20 minutes at a time a group of penguins in the water is called a raft but on land they're called a waddle seals have a layer of fat under their skin called blubber which keeps them warm in cold water seals cannot walk on land to move seals have to propel their bodies like caterpillars did you know that snow monkeys or japanese macaques are a type of monkey that lives in japan they love to use hot springs to stay warm in the winter thanks for watching these animal facts back to you ryan okay guess what they're still holding on can you believe it all this time they're still going no water you don't want that all right guys thank you so much for watching bye remember always stay happy and rise up bye bye guys today we're gonna do snow storm in a job first you're gonna fill a jar with three fourths of baby oil next add a little bit of white paint and it jumps next step let's aggregate add a little bit of the of the watered paint to the jar with baby oil what did you guys notice water oil doesn't mix it's separated next get alka-seltzer and break it into small pieces are you guys ready for a snowstorm here it goes whoa it's so cool it's going up and then they're falling down going all the way up and then they're falling back down that's so cool hi [Music] whoa and on this side it has white oh it's white everywhere look guys you can see the bubbles on the top [Music] that was so cool you can also optionally add glitter it looks like this time a bunch of glitter add some alka-seltzer [Music] there whoa it's storming down glitter [Music] whoa [Music] did you guys see that there's so much green because most of the glitter is green [Music] now we're going to try out a whole bunch of different colors [Music] let's activate okay okay okay there you go yellow okay [Music] it looks like an ocean yellow probably looks like a banana ocean maybe purple would look like a bunch of grapes on the ground orange is lava [Music] now for the rainbow snowstorm [Music] all falling there and going back up and falling down and going back up so cool hi guys i can see you through it [Music] okay guys thank you for watching our video thank you for watching our snowstorm in a jar video bye remember or stay happy and drive bye more stormy wait is that a real snowstorm hey guys today we're going to make a diy giant bubble first thing you're going to need is 12 cups of water i need a little bit more water there and next you need one cup of cornstarch there you go once you put it in you gotta stir [Music] another word for stir is acetate next we need one cup of dawn soap now it's blue now we agitate a little bit more and now it's blue instead of weight next add two tablespoons of baking soda bam and to make it strong for two tablespoons of glycerin this is a little bit more because someone's leaking but that's okay now let's agitate it all together so now it's more lighter lighter blue look guys there's bubbles already now we can wait for a couple of hours but the longer you wait the better the solution is you can make your own diy bubble wand like this first you're gonna need two sticks then some string it should look like this at the end get a string to connect the two rods and then get another string to make it like a v and then don't forget the washers okay guys let's test out our homemade bubble that's giant all right i'm gonna go first dip it in all right i want to go slowly slowly slowly whoa oh that's a giant bubble [Music] looks like you're a wizard it's not special effect it's real guys that's really cool whoa oh i'm gonna throw it at you whoa whoa oh i touched it whoa whoa maybe a little bit smaller than this the long one is cool but it doesn't really form the complete bubbles all right guys i'm gonna try oh all right one more time brian teach me how do you do it the longest ever okay i'm gonna try that too that's so long oh guys look at yourself not my pop wow [Music] what if i get on the trampoline okay ryan's gonna try on the trampoline it's a big operation it's gonna be an epic thing turn around turn around yes yes yes wow it just really went out oh that's that [Music] did you see that whoa i almost went 360. so good here's what we're trying to do so i got the water blaster ryan's gonna make a giant bubble and i'm gonna try and blast at it bye guys thank you for watching our do-it-yourself bubbles bye [Music] see that bye
