Bad Boy Maverick Vs Hustler Fastrak vs Scag Patriot vs Grasshopper 125 Side by Side Comparison!

okay guys this is kevin at kng morse uh today i want to do a fun video uh i want to compare skag grasshopper bad boy and hustler uh all four brands in my best-selling price category uh if that makes sense this is your entry level commercial um this is right at where the commercial starts and uh so i guess we'll go down the line we'll start with hustler all right so we've got the new 21 fast track fast track's got a really comfortable seat comes with a four year warranty it has a really really stout deck in the front in fact out of all four it has the most reinforcement on the front it's got their baffles welded in real tightly and and it's just a really stout mower comes with the big back tires on the back to get really good grip uh the fast track decks are really good performing deck so overall this is a really good mower uh the big thing for this year and why i'm stocking them again uh you know i usually just special order these uh but i have i'm very excited about this new kawasaki uh vortical motor so this air filter design they took from the brig cyclonic and the kohler confidant and uh finally we've got a good tucked in uh cyclonic air filtering system which kind of like he calls vertical um but uh motor sounds good it's got plenty of power it's a really solid motor this mower has a 3200 hydro gear transmission which is real similar to a lot of the other ones um the fast track is known for having a lower stance so it takes the heels really good and in a hustler's been doing good about doing a really wide profile on the back so uh this mower here is a 67.99 on promo right now in a 54 and uh it's uh 71.99 with the 60 inch cut but yeah that's a four year 750 hour warranty um 157 a month at zero for 48 months before tax is how i figured it and uh hustler fast track all right let's skip over to the bad boy maverick bad boy maverick is gonna be uh it's gonna have a seven gauge commercial deck uh i'll allow along with the grasshopper out of a seven gauge commercial deck your skag and your fast track are both gonna be i believe a 10 gauge if i'm not mistaken uh before i start let me just make sure it doesn't say but yeah i believe it's 10 just like with the skag so uh with your bad boy we've redesigned this this year uh you've got that channel top frame which is uh a lot beefier than the other guys if you'll notice it's just a just a really really crazy frame also this is the only mower out of the four with a suspension system bad boy is also known for uh having a little bit you know if you'll notice uh let's see none of these come up this one your floorboard lifts up so they've got a little advantage there of how to get to everything um the hustler also has a floorboard that comes up now but you still have to use a nut so uh the other big thing i'll go ahead and do this before i get started i'll open these up ah all right so your hustler gas tanks here so not a lot of access there where bad boys got a little advantage to all of them is right here and you've got a lot of access to the mower in fact to grease that dirt on the deck you just going through underneath the seat it's a lot easier to to jump off the battery on this one on the grasshopper the battery's tucked in your fender on the hustler it's also in the fender and on the skag it's also on the fender so if i just want to jump this thing off or change out the battery it's super easier with the with the underneath the seat option uh this mower has the most flexibility on motor options uh you've got the kohler confidant kawasaki fs or you've got the new honda the honda's never had an issue once with bad boy as a company that i've heard of yet and uh so this more runs between six to sixty eight hundred depending on how you dress it out forty eight fifty four sixty inch cut and uh bad boy's got the reaper tires uh the back end's redesigned it's got a wide stance now um the main thing that gets people on this mower uh this also has 3200s just like the hustler this right here so the whole mower has a four-wheel independent shock suspension system and so this rides better than the four um also the price point's a little cheaper than all four on the bad boy if you go with like the kohler confidant uh put you at 6 000. so we're gonna look at the tag on this one this one's a 60 kawasaki this one comes out to 60 64.99 146 a month that's before taxes so uh that's your bad boy mower uh your uh your other thing with bad boy that's kind of a negative they only do a two year warranty which is that's already figured into the mower on all of them they give a three on the motor the big thing bad boy does different they do a lifetime warranty on the deck lifetime on the frame and they have honored that warranty several times for me um you can buy an extended warranty with bad boy up to five years that's up to you uh but you do pay for all these extra warranties that people figure in all right now let's move to the grasshopper what i like about grasshopper is i've got a pretty good personal relationship with my rep he lives here in town so my factory rep is a good representation the other thing with grasshopper is uh they've been around for you know they're one of the originals uh so when you when you get on moore and you do the handles in and out that's because bad boy created that uh i mean i'm sorry grasshopper created that um grasshopper's gonna have a four-year parts warranty and a three-year parts and labor uh the main thing that i love about this grasshopper and this is the new 21 model 100 is their deck design it is a 7 gauge deck with the 10 gauge plate on top and they have massive spindles with little seven dollar bearings in them we hardly ever ever replace bearings in this thing uh this is the same deck that's on the fifteen thousand dollar mower uh this has parker ht transmissions they're 10cc uh they're the smoothest out of the three i believe the hustler drives a little better out of the four but the grasshopper a bit higher dollar um the seats cordura i really like the seat i like the gas gauge being between your legs that was the other thing with the hustler the most accurate gas gauge of course because it is electronic and so that was one of the features i really liked about that one so uh going back to the grasshopper parker ht's the other thing you'll notice about the grasshopper with the all four it's going to have the smallest tires on the back uh grasshopper engineering says there's no benefit to getting bigger tires except wearing out your transmissions faster so they went with the smaller tire if you want the bigger tire you go at the 4400 transmissions on your next grasshopper up so this mower comes out to uh 165 a month zero for 48 and uh this is your sale price this is your msrp for grasshopper so uh yeah this comes with kohler confidant or briggs cyclonic we mainly do the color confidants you can do a 41 48 52 or 60 inch cut i do the 41 inch cut with the briggs comes in under 6 grand so it's a really good buy for a small mower and again this is your grasshopper 100. all right now let's go to the skag and also i'm going to let y'all know grasshopper is known as being the most reliable brand out of all 40. they are the least in our shop they're the oldest probably the most ran around here for the last 30 years we've got one customer that's bought 56 grasshoppers over the last 30 years so uh okay now we'll go to skag the skag patriot out of the four has the most comfortable seat i think sitting in this thing is is really really comfortable um your your skag is going to have 3100s on the 52 inch deck if you go up to the 6100 you'll go to 3400 which you'll notice the bad boy and the hustler had 32 hundreds so uh the other thing with skag that they're known for is their cut if you'll notice on my facebook page kg mowers we have a lot of cut quality pictures of the patriot it is a very gorgeous cut because of the way the deck is so open and it just gets that grass out thus the velocity that skag focuses on is amazing we're always it seems like i always hear other brands saying yeah we're trying to get our deck to cut like the skag um the other big thing is with them uh the very low profile that you're setting in i really like it uh just a simple deck lift design and i want to go through deck lifts while i'm on this this is the pin and lift system uh grasshopper pin and lift system with the unlock right here which is a little hassle for me to reach down and have to unlock it and then do my deck it's also a little long of reach for a lady they have an extension block though all right on the bad boy your deck lift is here with the knob so what you do you kick the pressure off the deck turn the knob where you want it and drop your deck that's fully adjustable to any side of the mower and then you can also flip this around for the ladies and get a little closer down on you on your hustler it's just a simple unlock here pedals here uh out of all four i do like the deck the the knob because i don't have to do any bending over it just seems to be the simplest uh my least favorite is the lock and the system on the grasshopper and uh the the skag is is okay i have to reach down between my legs to change the pin and the hustler is uh probably my second favorite because of the handle it's a little easier all right so the big difference we're going to go to the back end of these things and i'm really going to show you where skag shines is you get a kohler command or you get a kawasaki fx so you got the ft you've got the fs confidant honda you got the cyclonic and the confidant but with skag you get your big donaldson air filter command or fx kawasaki so that obviously this is the most commercial out of the four having the full blown commercial air filter and the 3400 transmissions that go on the um 61. so uh we're gonna look at the tag on this one give you an idea how much this runs this is your 52 inch version 21 model and uh this one runs you 67.99 on sale and 151 a month zero 48 months your 61 is going to bump just a little over seven because those 3400 transmissions are a little bit more expensive so uh this is our big four and the reason i highlighted these these is these are our four this is our best-selling price option so in that six to seven thousand dollar ranges is probably over forty percent of our business you know as far as mowers go bad boy is my best selling out of these by far and it's mainly that suspension the easier working on it just the heaviness built to the machine just glancing at them it has the best value when you really dig in deeper you'll find a lot of value in each and every mower so i encourage you all to come in and check them out we also have a walker front mount that is a prettiest cutting industry and it is also it should be in this lineup i just haven't got it put together yet but that new little walker 48 is an amazing front mount and it's also 59.99
