hello everyone welcome back to cloud pathshala my name is maninda tawar and today we will discuss about Amazon elastic load balancer so elastic load balancer is used to manage the traffic flow which automatically balance the load by sending the traffic to the healthy Target so Target can be are easy to instances Lambda function and eyepiece in this video we will learn about load balancer components types and its working so let's get started this is our Amazon console first we have to create two ec2 instance on which we will configure the load balancer first I am creating one virtual machine on which we will configure a test application then using the same image I will configure a second server on both the servers we will configure a load balancer and then check the functionality instance is creating let's go to the another option that is load balancer here under load balancer you can see there are three types of load balancer for HTTP and https you can use application load balancer for TCP UDP and TLS Port you can use Network load balancer for third-party application you can use Gateway load balancer here we will use application load balancer web test will be that will be internet facing it's up to you how you want to use your load balancer I am creating a internet facing load balancer now here I am selecting existing VPC Security Group I'm going with the existing one here you have to select you want to create a listener for HTTP or https if it is HTTP that will go with Port 80 now it is asking for Target group this is a group where we have to add our targets targets can we are easy to instances or Lambda function right we can create a Target group here there are options for targets like what Target you want to use IP address instance Lambda function so I'm giving a Target group name web desk group the last parameter I'm keeping default okay our Target group is ready later we will add the targets under this so we can add our Target group here refresh it this is our Target group I have added and create load balancer load balancer is also created our instance is ready let's configure a test application on this for testing purpose to configure a test application first we need to install the IIs role in this let's add is role in this I'm creating a test HTML page now here file has been saved let's refresh it so this is our site what we have just created ski time is of this server so we'll use this image to create a new instance then configure a load balancer for these two instance meanwhile we will add this server in the Target group here you can see this is our Target group we can add our resources here register Target this is our Target now our Target is in healthy state so this is our load balancer here it will give us a DNS name so I have copied the DNS name paste it here you can see our application is working fine okay our image is ready let's create a new ec2 instance using this image okay our second instance is ready let's add this in the Target group this is our Target group this is your second server let's register it once it is healthy then we can check our load balancer functionality both targets are healthy let's go into the instances I'm refreshing it our application is working fine I'm just shutting down first VM our application should be working fine our first instance is down here you can see it's still working so this is how load balancer works we can Define our Targets in Target group load balancer automatically forward the traffic to the healthy Target that's all for today's video we'll connect in next video with new interesting topic till then enjoy this video thank you guys
