ATEM Mini Pro ISO | Production Workflow

[Music] the item mini pro iso from blackmagic design is a must-have for any live event producer who wants the flexibility to edit their live productions in post blackmagic has created a logical workflow and now includes their amazing editing and color software davinci resolve the iso has all of the same features as the previously released a10 mini pro but has the added ability to record each isolated hdmi input and the program feed to an ssd connected to the usb-c port after you connect your cameras and your drive make sure you have the atem software control application installed on your pc or mac you can download this on blackmagicdesign.com go to the support tab and select a10 production switchers under latest downloads you can find the most recent atem switchers update once in the software you can find all of the great new features of the atem mini pro iso under output and go to record stream for my production today i want to select iso record all inputs i also want to change the file name to test because i have three black magic design pocket cinema camera 4ks attached to my a10 mini pro iso i also want to select record in all cameras this will be important later first let's quickly hop over to the media tab and i want to add this png graphic to my media player now i can begin recording my production and i can do this in one of two ways i can use the button directly in the software or i can use the record button on the atem mini pro iso surface now that our production has started i can do some direct cuts i can also use cross dissolves of various durations and i can also add my png graphic now my production is done and i can use a nice fade to black to end my recording i can simply hit the stop button on the surface now we can take a look and see what was recorded on our ssd on our ssd we now have a folder titled test and this has all of our iso video files it also has our png graphic that we used and even has an audio source files folder which has all of the embedded audio from our cameras and recordings from the 3.5 millimeter mic inputs it also has an mp4 recording of our program and has a davinci resolve project file that we can open up by double clicking in the media tab you can see that all of our footage is nicely organized in different bins and the a10 mini pro iso has even recorded camera numbers in our metadata there's also a bin with our graphics that we used and most importantly there is a timeline with our program on it if we play through a little bit you can see all of our direct cuts are exactly where we put them and our cross fades of various durations are also there as well as the bug that we went live with and our fade to black all of my original cuts can be easily adjusted on the timeline to fix any mistakes i may have made during the live event [Music] to start over fresh making a new multi-cam timeline is very simple i just go back to the media tab and select all of my cameras i right click and go up to create new multi-cam clip using selected clips [Music] for angle name i want to select metadata camera this will reference the camera number that's in our metadata and hit create if i right click this new timeline and select open in timeline you can see all of our video and audio sources are stacked on top of each other if instead you go back to media you right click and select create new timeline using selected clips when opened in the edit page and utilizing the multi-cam editor in the preview window i can now make live cuts if you remember i also recorded on the pocket cameras as well these recordings are black magic raw files now i can replace my mp4 iso files with the raw files and have the stellar quality bit depth and dynamic range that only b raw can provide to get more information on this amazing new product from blackmagic design please visit our website at onesourcevideo.com to learn more about all of the features of the a10 mini switchers be sure to check out our previous tutorials linked on the screen thank you for watching
