this video is gonna be it's gonna be fun to watch do you like doing at home beauty treatments cuz I really like doing it hi everyone welcome back to my channel welcome to my channel I'm Alexandra I really love beauty like since I was like 3 I've been doing my toes I've been painting my nails and I'm obsessed because I find it relaxing and I really like how it makes me feel when it's done what else it kind of like doing the self maintenance today we definitely need a little self maintenance honey we're gonna do the hair we're gonna do the nails this is all gonna be done at home because I'm at home right now this is at home beauty in this video I'm going to show you hair removal I'm gonna show you how I take care of my feet and get myself a pedicure as well as skin treatments and we're gonna do my elegant nail extensions at home as well as my blow-dry effect because I really love going to the salon but I can get the same effect at home okay let's do all of these treatments together get a snack let's go from this to this and put in enough work so that the outcome is amazing thumbs up if you enjoy this video and if you don't like the video thumbs down I make the video you rate it I want to say something because I've thought about this for a while and it's kind of like a mindset self-care and self maintenance are two separate things and you should view them as such you know if you couple everything that is self-care related with self maintenance related for example I look at spending time with a friend or a loved one or taking a bath relaxing nourishing the inner part of you that is what self-care is for its for the inside but when it comes to self maintenance it's not the same thing because it's very much oriented towards the outside portion of you and not all of this is going to be nourishing in the moment some of it quite literally feels like hard work when you look at maintaining your aesthetic and taking care of your body as something that's supposed to be nourishing in the moment you're going to be less inclined to do it because again it's it can feel like hard work and so I've started to change my mindset that self maintenance is self or separate of self care and self maintenance is something that I just do rain or shine I have my nails done rain or shine I do my blow-dry and I just do these things because I know in the end it gives me a good feeling even though it's can feel a little tedious sometime today we're really going to make this feel relaxing I'm gonna incorporate some of those self-care elements and you're gonna hear the sounds and I'm really excited so let's get started I really think before you do any of these treatments and even in between the treatments it's super important to make sure that the space you're working in is clean it's gonna make you feel better when it's done and it's also going to help you work better so I'm going to freshen up my space and everything that I'm working on is clean and prepared now of course we're doing hair in this video and I wanted to include a DIY that I wanted to try for a very long time a lot of people really love rice water for hair growth so I'm going to include this as part of the treatment before I wash my hair later okay so in order to make this you need to make sure that you remove the starchy layer so I poured some water in and I'm just gonna kind of massage the rice and remove it once you've rinsed it thoroughly it's time to drain that and then for some more water in and that's the one we're gonna be using on the scalp later I'm gonna cover it and use it the next day it's the next day already wow that was quick we're gonna move on to nails we're gonna start with nails actually because I take my nails so seriously like I've been obsessed with nails for a really long time and I love doing them but I also have a very special nail technician like I in my mind she's actually one of the best nail technicians in the world and when you like I mean that's what I think I've spent time with Jenny and Jenny's work is perfect and she actually really wants to make it perfect she told me one time she's like listen it doesn't matter what job I was doing if I was doing this or if I was doing something else if I was cleaning houses I would make it perfect because I want it to be perfect because I'm hardworking and I know that about myself when Jenny told me that I was like I love that so much I love you know people with an incredible amount of natural talent that's always amazing and what a gift well what is it what is it when we start looking at something where it's like no Jenny didn't start this way she didn't start doing nails with them looking perfect like natural nails she worked extremely hard and she made it super good and I have a lot of respect for that but I can't go see Jenny I'm gonna be doing my nails at home here and I'm not gonna just do them I'm not just gonna get by or remove the color I actually want to get the same thing I want to get those elegant beautiful nails at home and I've found something there's like a new method on the market to do at-home gel extensions and I'm really excited to use it this is like a poly gel product that's actually a mix of acrylic and gel so we're gonna use it today and it's so cute I love it on my nails right now are like your high cuticles and grown out shellac and hard gel extensions one nail is missing so that first step is to remove all of the color off the nail there's two ways to do this you can see file with this little electric drill like me or you can use a little file to file off the top layer and then soak them in acetone and scrape to remove it the poly gel kits come with clear poly gel they're all in a squeezy tube white and then you get light pink and dark pink as well as cover pink which has a peachy tone it's so pretty and this dark red that would be good for red nails as a base you do need to buy a UV kit or a UV light aside from the kit itself but it comes with the spatula you need it comes with the brush you need so you get pretty much everything you need but you do have to purchase a light isn't the little jacket for this little nail table so cute this is perfect to just prop your hands up while you're doing your nails but totally not necessary to enhance the nail bed and make the manicure after it's done look its absolute best I have to push back all the cuticles now I'm gonna take a little bead of this I actually think it was a bit too much and this is my first nail that I ever did so I was kind of like a little bit nervous but then I realized you know what this is too much product so I took some off that little bead of poly gel is going to sit on top of the nail it doesn't even move it's so thick and so you're gonna take a little bit of rubbing alcohol onto your brush and start pressing this down and you're gonna see like how thick it is and how much it actually doesn't move unless you move it which is going to inspire you to be able to create the shape that you I think the best part is that it doesn't dry on its own you have to put it in the UV light to cure it and make it hard so you have all the time in the world to make it look prettier finally assessing what you've done on the nail take a look at the free edges where the skin and the nail disconnect and it starts growing on its own you should see a little curve in the nail above that and that's gonna make it look really elegant and natural now I'm going to repeat the process remove all of the oils put the little bead down I put less this time and now start petting it and pushing the product all the way over the surface of the nail tapering it towards the cuticle area you want this to just like you know when you look at a beach you see how the water like rolls over the sand and it creates this paper-thin effect when the water meets the sand it's barely traceable as it begins and that's kind of what you want to do around the cuticle area you don't want it to be obvious and so when I have the product on you'll see it has that nice curve just towards the free edge of the nail and then it tapers towards the end and towards the cuticle and it's not too thick when it comes to working with the poly gel I'm brushing it on because I really like to do that but there's another world out there where people really like to use this dual form method it's super cool and you get dual forms with the kit that I bought so I wanted to try it out you basically take these and they go parallel to your nail but instead of being the actual enhancement itself this is only going to form the product onto your nail and then will remove it after so you squeeze the little squeezy tube into the dual form you're going to brush it to pet it down and taper it towards the edges but make it really really clean and then this is going to go on top of your finger that has a little base coat on it this base coat is going to act like a base you cure it in the UV light it's a little bit sticky and then you take the poly gel and you press it over top of that nail cure it and when you remove the dual form you'll notice that the nail is now hard so you can use this as your base and file it down to perfection it's super cool and I think that for somebody who's a little bit less creative and more mathematically oriented this could be like the best way to do this but if you're more of an artist you're gonna want to paint it on because it's super fun and it's very easy to do so I really enjoy that okay so obviously I've maintained some of my own nail extensions so that I could work off of it but I have one really short finger and if you wanted to make your nails longer this is how you do it you take this little gold foil thing and it's super cool you peel a little circle off and then you take that circle and you put it right at the back at the bottom part where the grid is on the front you'll see and then you rip the top and we're going to put this like a little cone on the finger it's gonna act like a little table right under the free edge of the nail and you can see check your other finger lengths if you're repairing like me but also you can use these numbers to decide which length you want for your nails and you put the product that far up on the table okay so now I'm going to remove the oils and it's prepped with a little bead I'm using a bit more and I'm gonna place this along the free edge and now I'm going to use those same motions to start molding the product around and every time my brush gets a little dry I just dip it back in the rubbing alcohol you want it to be wet at all times but not dripping just a little bit of drip you know what I mean now once i cure it it it's hard and I'm going to go ahead and apply one more layer to really build out that nice curvature along the free edge Wow now they look so much better they don't look good and they're definitely not done but they're in the right direction we need to shape them but most importantly we need to file off the top so that they level out and become more refined and that's when we're really going to reveal the final look after I finished removing the cuticles from my nails I'm going to show you guys what they look like before the clear coat they look so nice the shape is perfect they look refined and I'm going to use a clear coat to really enhance the natural milky color of that gel it's so pretty like literally no one and the silence in this video I love it I've definitely mentioned before and I'll say it again I really love to do nails like this because there is no line of demarcation they look so natural and glossy but you can't tell where they start or end so when they start to grow out they look amazing still loves it okay we have a lot to do I'm gonna move on to something less glamorous hair removal on the face not only hair removal but teeth whitening brow bleaching and dermaplaning-- which is another form of hair removal aside from the threading which is kind of my favorite okay let's start so I I'm not even gonna think about doing my skincare yet because we actually have hair on the face that I don't really want there before I start removing it I'm going to wipe my teeth this is a really good time to do this because I'll be sitting here for about a half an hour which is perfect I'm gonna pop these on my teeth and then I'm gonna cleanse the skin because this is really important to do every time you know you're gonna be touching your face and if your hands aren't clean don't touch your face and if your skin isn't clean don't touch it either so I'm gonna use this micellar water to remove any impurities sunscreen things like that and now I'm gonna mix up my brow bleach this is a powder and cream combination you basically take the cream and you like smush it on the little paper and then pour the powder put it in the crystals and then mix it mix it mix it until it forms it's like bleach self and then you put that bleach self onto your brows and this is what lightens the eyebrow but feminize is the face kind of like softens the features a little bit especially when you have dark hair and medium skin it's such a brightening way it's such a good way to brighten the skin okay so I'm gonna leave that on for five minutes and because we're all about efficiency we're gonna dermaplane in the meantime I'm gonna be taking this little single razor and this is going to come downwards on my face across the hair and the parts where I have peach fuzz this is good for the cheeks this is good for the forehead but I don't recommend using this on the upper lip I'm only going to do this to remove dead skin make the skin look really bright but also remove all of that peach fuzz and you don't know how much you have until you try using this little razor shocking this is a great skin care tactic to remove all of the dull dead skin but I mostly enjoy removing the hair I think it helps makeups it better and it's easy to do once a week very easy to do the reason I don't like to do this on my upper lip or around my eyebrows it's because I don't want those hairs to have any chance of there being a dark pigment in the skin like behind the skin and that's what happens when you shave so I really like to remove it properly really pluck it out of the skin without actually using tweezers I'm taking some thread this is 18 inches of thread but I cut it I like ideally put it into a circle okay so it's like 18 inches but it's actually 9 in length once you make it a circle this is what's going to make my little thread blade I wind it up 10 times and every time I opened my hand or close it that pulls the little thread bleed around and that's how I'm going to pluck out the hair this twists the hair up and pulls it right out from the root and that's going to give you such a clean result when it comes to cleaning up the eyebrow it is unnatural really to be the one inflicting this kind of pain on yourself so to thread it does take practice but it takes the mindset of I want to get this right and I want to do this so the first few times it's really great to practice on your cheek and remove some of that peach fuzz just get used to the motions get used to the feeling and next thing you know you'll be doing this to your eyebrows to clean them up but also your upper lip which really helps because now you don't have to wait to grow any upper lip hair out and go to a salon I have not gone to a salon since I learned to do this when I was like 11 or 12 and I'm 25 now now it's time to take out the white strips my teeth are all bright my skin is all bright from the dermaplaning-- and my eyebrows are lighter which is really nice and they're all cleaned up I feel good but my hair is definitely not good right now I I need to do a few things remember that rice water and now is the time I'm going to use it so I put my hair in the sink and then I'm just gonna section the hair and start applying the rice water onto the scalp I think when I was a girl I would really rely on DIYs like this to make a big difference and I'd want them to be the thing that would change everything but now as a woman I look at this as a DIY that I'm including in my maintenance routine to aid the hair growth but I'm not going to rely on it to make a huge difference I'm gonna combine good diet practices taking good care of the hair and using masks regularly and that's how I'm going to approach getting longer hair now we're moving on to skin with freshly cleanse skin I want to apply a toner toner is there to really bring the pH of the skin back to a healthy number and this is what's going to support the skin barrier which helps you fight against acne and helps keep your skin hydrated so this is really important to use that and I'm using it before my favorite treatment I love a good high frequency wand this is a glass head that goes in and it has a few different shapes in this kit the one that I'm using is great for gliding across the skin and what this does is helps the electricity go from the tool to your skin and yes electricity is what we're using today to penetrate deep in the skin and help bring oxygen to those cells that don't normally get as much attention on an outer level skin care only goes so deep so electricity is one of the best ways to while high frequency is one of the best ways to really speak to those deeper layers and help with regeneration and making the skin look beautiful now I'm gonna wash my hair now it's time to focus on hair I'm gonna shampoo it and thumbs up if you're enjoying the video so far I always let the conditioner or the mask this one is a mask I always let it sit for like 10 minutes maybe five but at least let it soak into the hair and really hydrate and then I rinse it out and the shampoo portion is creepy regardless of if I'm going out I really love wearing makeup because it makes me feel very good so this is the time that I'll put that on and my hair is kind of towel dried while I do that so it's really ready and not sopping wet let's move on to the next step you guys know a year ago if you didn't know I got a keratin treatment like I mean I got two of them I got two of them and I haven't gotten one since but I found a product that really really works similarly to keratin or kind of gives that same effect and it's called dream coat so I'm gonna put this into the hair I spray it all over and it's heat activated now that the hair is almost dry that's a really good time to brush it because it's got more strength than it does when it's wet and I'm gonna use this same brush to just pull the blow-dryer through and smooth the hair it doesn't have to be perfectly sleek but you want it to be smooth so I'm removing the curl and then making sure that it has the structure that I want so that I don't have to use a high heat with my next tool when you're going for a blow-dried look it has to be smooth because that's exactly what you get from a blow dryer when you use a round brush and you do it again and again so what I'm using is a low heat on my straightener and I'm gonna run through with a single pass over every single section and this is really quick this is the part that is going to set the tone but we're going to set the movement and the body with a curling iron now the hair is totally prepped and it's smooth well it's perfect actually you could wear it just like this but the thing is I want to have like that swoopy look I love what a blow-dry does because it creates all of these different movement patterns and the ends won't just be straight which looks kind of like I don't know it just looks off to me so I'm gonna take a low heat on my curling iron and start putting curls in but pin them so that they become really voluminous and they set in that shape without gravity like pulling them down this is a really good way to make everything last longer but also look more expensive and elevated it really really works so I'm gonna take these and put them in until my whole head is covered in these pin curls and I'll leave these in for as long as I'd like it could be five minutes it could be thirty an hour it won't do it any harm to leave it longer but when you take them out they're so bouncy the curls and the look is so beautiful I love this blow-dried look whether you get it with a round brush at a salon or you do it yourself this way it looks amazing and definitely looks way different than it did when I started which i think is a big improvement Wow okay let's move on to pedicure this is really rough I'm gonna remove the shellac because obviously it's chipped and grown out and I've had it on for a really long time and I don't like that it looks so bad my toes have been bugging me for a while but it's time to make them beautiful again I highly recommend trying a square shape if your toes are long enough I'm gonna be doing it on this one but I want them to be squares so I cut them straight across and now I'm gonna push the cuticles back and then scrape all of the dead skin that is sitting on top of the nail plate not only does this make the toes not look that great but it also makes everything chip underneath so you want to remove this before we move on to the next step I'm gonna use my little cuticle trimmers and this is like the hardest thing for me to do because I really am NOT the best cuticle trimmer but it needs to be done especially on the toes I want to remove all the dead skin around the nail but also on the palm or the the base of the foot and so I used a little pumice for that mine is like rotating an electric I'll link below okay so I'm gonna use the forms my Maroney is the forms on the really short nail we're gonna do the same on the toe I'm making this like a little table and then I'm gonna pop the product on you guys know how this works so I did my best and I made them into squares once they're cured it's time to move on to the more relaxing part the part that's like you know it makes you actually feel good because the rest is just a bit of hard labor I'm gonna soak my feet I'm gonna put this little bath balm in and the water smells amazing and it feels amazing it's so hydrating I really love taking care of my feet when it comes to doing a foot bath it just feels amazing and you want to get the feet really clean at this point too so I'm using a pumice and I'm also using a little toe brush and I'm gonna use a resurfacing product this is a glycolic acid scrub this is gonna help remove dead skin but make the feet and the tone of the skin look better as well as strawberry likes if you struggle with that now I'm taking a paper towel a little bit of rubbing alcohol to remove anything any oil that's on the toes and I'm gonna start with my base coat cure it and then move on to this really cute banana yellow it's so pretty and this is perfect for summer I like really bright colors because they in the sunlight look at the best and I think that that is what I'm aiming for when it comes to my toes so I'm gonna put a couple coats of this and then I'm gonna cure it put on the top coat and once they're completely dry it but gel is hard and super shiny and it's time to apply hydration this is going to make the feet look their absolute best and that is the pedicure I really really like how it turned out wow thank you so much for watching we did a blow-dry we did nails pedicure hair removal everything at home and I hope that you enjoyed the video if you did you know I make the video you rate it if you liked it thumbs up if you didn't like it thumbs down I can't wait to see you guys again thank you so much for watching I love you and I'll see you soon bye bye
