Astros use 9-run 8th inning to stun Angels

when we go to the bottom half of the eighth inning Astros down five to one Justin Anderson the Houstonian takes over here in the bottom half of the eighth he has done very well in his seven outings against the Astros and he takes over in a 5-1 game Justin Anderson throws very hard the hardest out of that bullpen for the Los Angeles Angels 97 miles now he's averaging on that basketball's changeup if you want to call it that it comes in at 94 slider 85 to 87 seven appearances against the Astros he has yet to give up an earned run [Applause] well the Astros will have the right part of their order due up to try and start this comeback after being a head most of the game Astros down down five to one it'll be Jose Altuve Alex Bregman and Marwin Gonzalez now to bait two of the hits tonight for the Astros they have six in the game [Applause] total defensive changes for the angels as well whose second basemen Sherman Johnson takes over and Joe Hudson is now behind the plate [Applause] [Applause] [Music] - just destroyed lean on him Jose the Astros have turned a 4-run deficit into a five run lead in the bottom half of the eighth inning still only one out Marwin batting [Applause] this is right up there the craziest game of 2018 [Applause] 14 runs combined in the eighth inning it was one nothing heading into the eighth 101 to Marwan Marwin another chance to extend his hitting streak go for 3 with a walk tonight a seven-game hitting streak on the line [Applause] justin anderson started this inning for the angels i butchery came on after a couple of walks in one al luxury did not record now although look like he had the inning-ending double play on the ground ball off the bat of tyler white that was thrown away and now lake parker [Applause] 1 & 2 the count [Applause] angels and twins tied at two in the seventh inning I'm still trying to wrap my head around what the heck is going on a lot of yellow this is incredible swing and a Miss Parker picks up the second out of the inning or we goes down swinging and that'll bring up you lee Hyori has three hits including the first RBI in this inning mismatch drive you nuts at home frustration for a good seven innings question marks all over the place between players decisions on the base pass player movement in the lineup who's coming out of the bullpen and all of a sudden the Astros offense makes you forget all about it telling you this is right up there with the wackiest games we have seen the last couple of years here's Julie looking for his fourth hit he only had three hits last night two home runs seven runs batted in three more hits tonight he is now 17 for 41 his last 11 home games and has driven in 16 run I'm pretty excited about that you a foul ball [Applause] to most runs scored in an inning this season for the Astros putting up nine in the bottom of the eighth does it say somebody's gonna wake up tomorrow and see the box score I'll go home the Astros scored double-digit runs again and won the ball game hopefully then you're gonna see the line score and go what that ain't bidding 14 runs in the same thing between both teams anything has been good to the Astros this year the most runs scored in any inning by far is the 898 runs scored in the fourth is the next closest in a hundred and nineteen runs scored in the eighth [Applause] because you cannot assume a double-play the error by award would only have been the second out so all these runs are earned in this inning against the angel oh my with the exception of the runner that would have been forced out at second base so I guess a to the 9 will be earth [Applause] wanted to [Applause] this crowd just does not want to sit in this inning it's been too good of an inning they're ready to erupt at the end of the England [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] virtual Sunna has been warming up this game changed from a deficit to a save situation to a five-run game [Applause] line drive caught by Ward and that'll do it biggest inning of the season for the Astros and they played it 10 to 5 [Music] [Music]
