yo it's Rob here from shoulder Showdown listen we are here at anime NYC 2022 I'm here to ask anime fans the hottest questions on the Block that you're too afraid to ask let's get right into it sub versus Dub tell me which one do you take definitely sub first okay sub Subs I'm gonna have to go with stuff there it is there it is ah y'all gonna hit me right now but I'ma say dog oh come on it depends on the show depends on the show okay okay for one piece you gotta go sub yes if you if you're watching One Piece of stuff see I watch the dogs one's up so yeah it kind of depends on the show definitely so okay why that's mostly because I feel like the Japanese voice actors have a lot more experience years of experience and their voices come off a little bit more authentic and you can tell the difference between yourself and the dog no friends you definitely know what you're talking about no I'm a dub guy I just I don't like to have to read because the graphics in anime are just they're half the the joy of it [Music] um I honestly think doves are over hated but I myself always prefer the media in the original like context so I will always watch the sub dub because that's a voice actor I appreciate like you know the behind the scenes work a lot of people don't realize that dub actors have to go through a lot you know in order to be able to get that production out there some are dumb you got it summer dub it's sub all the way unless it's you you Hakusho and Doug yes Gabe thank you so much no problem no problem for some reason I like to read I don't know why but I just like to read I prefer dub you know sub is amazing you know what I mean I feel like that stuff really paved the way for anime you know out there okay okay one it's just more emotions very raw and you know sometimes I like to read so I'm you know I go intellectually there okay so same thing translation somehow okay the Dragon Ball dub Dragon Ball dub I know yo you know exactly what he's talking about he knows exactly what he's talking about I feel you some people may say something about the voice acting and stuff it being closer because it's Japanese but there are some fire dumps out there like Dragon Ball Z is a really good one you Hakusho is a really good one so I'll take it I'll take it see there's no what other anime is doing this bro what other anime is doing this nobody's doing this you can only take one who's stronger I'm going with saitama oh no who's not picking him oh why not oh get them all I think I think it's a it's an even 50 50. Pokemon okay everyone loves saying Pokemon but if I say there's a Lugia outside I mean okay okay you might have a point there are you still staying with Pokemon yes okay one feet this year I'm basic I'll take it I'll take it which one you take Pokemon okay why why I can actually have monsters instead of playing with monsters what are we talking about here Pokemon oh Pokemon easy I just like Pokemon better like they're cuter I'm a I'm in a librarian I'm an elementary school librarian my whole life is Pokemon because my students love Pokemon I give them Pokemon cards when they're good students it's great and I just think they're really cute I don't need no no pidgeotto's poking me out all my life see but yeah same again I don't want to be in the um doing a duel just for my life I'm gonna I'm gonna say Pokemon even though I like Yu-Gi-Oh more oh because I think the average person in Pokemon is a lot better off than the average person in Yu-Gi-Oh but that also means if you're going for a swim there's a Gyarados that might take you out what I'm not gonna get caught goofy like that what do you mean Pokemon I am Bulbasaur in real life everyone says that but if I say oh no there's a Lugia outside what are you doing I didn't say I was a security guard like I can't get back on my ball and know when I need to gradually bow out that's fine okay but you don't feel like the Pokemon world's more dangerous like if a Mewtwo just pops out I mean if a Mewtwo pops out [Music] start throwing them things that's pretty much it Pokemon okay Pokemon I'm not really big on Yu-Gi-Oh I tried to get into it um but I would love to have a real life Pikachu or like a freaking Charizard why would you not I got my heart looks like Ash's hat and Pokemon literally all day over the over those two [Music] listen one piece Naruto please The Big Three you can only take one talk to me Naruto oh no one piece love oh no yeah Naruto Naruto Okay I love its death even over in one piece and bleach I I haven't I haven't gotten through one piece yet okay one like 500 episodes so I'm powering through okay I'll take it I'll take it there's one piece okay it's not even close I just started watching bleach I'm gonna run with that because it has enough episodes where I'm not gonna get bored I've never seen it up oh Naruto oh okay why because he has such a sad fast you know the Swing Swing I can't um and he just went through a lot I think to be honest I think more than all the other characters personally so oh shoot okay I have to take one piece because I feel like I'll be able to watch that for the rest of my life there's so many episodes it's still not ended yet I could continuously read the Manga and Anime all the time so let's go let's go let's go one piece bro one piece to go
