um you had an added pressure when you were doing this movie uh directing your idle yes that wasn't a prep that's something I don't know about directing I want to work rich for so long Richard Pryor who's in the movie anyway it was just weird to be direct directing him because I just just to have in order to work from someone to be working with him you know was bugging me out and then look at him and and he's braying in my movie he's braining funniest coolest plays a character named Sugar Ray just the coolest back like remember to like stuff like Lady Sings the Blues but rich with what he's doing that kind of cool just you bad man rigid laying it out y'all gonna be real happy with the movie um kind of a sneak preview of what it's all about telling people exactly what Harlem Nights is um me and Richard Pryor played two guys and owned an after-hours Club in Harlem and a mafia comes and tries to take our club over and that's basically what the movies about and I kill us in you he's not for real you have to see the movie he's not really dead at the moment go see it yeah November November good that's good um directing yourself I meant to ask you about that how is that strange and I won't know how it came out till the movie good see I can't sit here and go well you know and talk about the movie comes out because I don't want to look stupid if it didn't if I and do it right if I when movie comes out if it looks good then I come back and say well directing myself was like this I don't want to put my foot mama you said in People magazine is kind of a no-lose situation yeah cuz if you write and produce and direct and star and the movie don't work they say oh he took on too much and if it works they go he's something else yeah no way you can lose you do hear the screaming when you walked out you heard all it yes got y'all scream for everybody I sure do know I don't go sweep everybody it's been for them yeah I seen some people walk out and they give them one of these you know Seattle Street fair yes screaming let me ask you a question do you see yourself as sexy no cuz I see me in the morning my hair like this the green stuff in my today you want to scream come down tomorrow screams I don't know what if people scream I don't know what it is people screaming over entertainers people see you wow that's scream I think what it is it's like barking a symbol of approval the louder they scream the more they like you hey women screaming why I screech I thought I loved Spike Lee mm-hmm I see you spike come on a show last week and wyms it Wow it's spike looks like a cricket brain filmmaker his movies are brilliant he's hysterical he's wonderful on camera but spike is not fine Wow and now thank you for religion I remember when I was and when I was in junior high school base called me big nose in and my nose is still being so is it Wow so women going Oh big nose right Adam Freeman I know that I'm big knows it you got my nickname was when I was in grammar school I should even say them you know my nickname was and I used to hurt because I was one of them kid was my nickname was peas cuz my I had with that had at you comb it and you can say I'm not doing anything and that becoming a fire and you really cold it in your head just saying I'm not budging and I come in and I go to school that's not Chanukah peace any was a guy named Ronnie Marion who used to sit across from me and go play in a computer [ __ ] hitting them in his eyes and stuff and a girl would fight us it that's my pizza's your boyfriend my boyfriend Opie is in fight you're not come out and sit down and still peasy with the big noses Wow yeah I know I'm peas and mr. big nose another don't you you know it just I guess his show business it all sure I talked to uh I talked to a gentleman with you uh Mark Cory yes who went to high school with you and he says you always knew that you would be a star that marks known you forever I mean he said used to run to school you didn't even need a Hall Pass they would catch you and want to tell you a joke they they would stop me a hallway into the teachers would tell me jokes hey I got one for you it was funny too I got left back by the way ed here's your report card we'll see you again next year but you always knew that this is where you wanted to be I want to be in show business and I just happened to luck out and things happen I think you know you know you if you you know what you're supposed to do deep down and say I think everybody does a lot of people just don't go after it you know like most people start out they say I want to be as this but I'm going to give that to make sure I have something to fall back on and what you're doing is you setting yourself up a fake cause you're going there's a possibility that I'm a fallback and when you put that out there then you fall back but if you just say hey this is what I want to do and you go do it you usually get your stuff the way you want it man that's what um yeah I don't even know if this is true cuz you know how Uncle Ray laughs okay uncle raisin that mom was his uncle but you know how awful I shave off his beard you see no I'd assume a greater way to the horses deal with that my back antara what is being officer who they don't know eraser they're like did you uh picture me but a lot older that's over it um he said that we have uh playing do you have any other guests tonight um if it's me and you and awful all right I was not offering please don't invite hurry up all right beep now see I thought I would look like in 40 years ain't it funny no more now other way mention something to me about a fortune-teller or somebody who said someone from your family was gonna be very famous somebody told my grandmother okay raise money my grandmother that some I and a family is gonna be famous and what happened with over-over anger my father Donlan winning to show business very much does assume eyes the whole Quran was taken tap dance lesson he is still tap but nobody can he's gonna tat ring yeah yes you can watch attackers in the commercial give me something we'll be right back
