Army Basic Training Packing List | 2021

currently freaking out so bad i am in the meps hotel it's 903 pm i shipped out to basic training tomorrow morning don't know what i got myself into but i've been watching a lot of what to bring to basic training packing list videos on here and they have been a lifesaver so i decided i would make one of my own since i'm literally here and can show you exactly what i am bringing so oh my god so the first thing i'm bringing is this little cassia watch got it on amazon also i'll try and link everything i have down in the description box below but this is a casio watch it is water resistant and it has a light on it and an alarm so that will be super helpful in basic training next thing i'll show you the bag i'm bringing with me it is the little bag that i got from my recruiter it just says stay army reserve i am shipping out to fort leonard wood missouri and i'm obviously in the army reserves and my job is a 74 delta which is seaburn or chemical operations specialist and i am going as an e2 because i did the online test and pt test or whatever so my first little bag i packed everything in a plastic bag to make it easier if i have to dump everything off so it says my name on it and then i have two little pins sharpies to label stuff and then what i did i saw this hack on youtube by a drill sergeant who has a youtube channel so i have my little notebook to write letters and then here i'll cover the address i pre-filled out letters and put the stamp on it so all i have to do is actually fill out the real letter and then put my address up in the top corner so that will help relieve some stress i may have in basic and just make everything a bit easier and then i brought a little book with all the addresses phone numbers everything i'll need and then 2021 gotta wear a mask i brought two plain black cotton ones they're really breathable they were also from amazon and i brought a portable charger because i heard that sometimes it's hard to get a charger port and you get to call home on your real phone and then the next thing i have is two locks like this i recommend that you buy them from the same package so they have the same combination that'll make your life like so much easier and then i'm bringing little headphones so i can talk to my parents a bit easier on sundays hopefully now next bag oh my god i brought a coffee with me for the morning don't recommend because it can bring your blood pressure up so don't follow my lead and you know ladies just i recommend tampons because i heard that you won't have a lot of time to change your pad so bring tampons if you're gonna have a period and then next bag is my toiletries i know it seems like i'm bringing a lot but my recruiter told me to bring this since we have the two week quarantine period and i have no idea when i'm gonna go to the px to buy stuff so i have q-tips a little razor i use men's because they work better a little men's deodorant everything men's works better just in my professional opinion a little cetaphil face wash loss ultra healing lotion it's winter right now so my skin is so dry and then i got toothpaste and then for your toothbrush make sure you get a case so it's not touching everything gross i got moleskin i don't know if they'll take it away but i heard it's really helpful for blisters then i bought my little lotion shampoo conditioner just got a pantene because i heard they don't like scented stuff and then i got a soap and a soap fish okay now i have a bunch of crap on my lap i have to repack that all tonight oh god and then so i learned how to like do the little ranger roll or whatever on youtube so i rolled up three pairs of crew length white socks there's no logos on them i think it's really important not to get logos i think they came out about that and then i brought three white sports bras and then i brought like six pairs of underwear because i heard that you don't get to go to px for a while so you might want to bring a week's worth of underwear just so you aren't reusing underwear that is nasty don't be nasty or everyone will hate you next up i brought all my hair stuff i don't know if i'll be able to keep all of it but i got a sock bun and i wrapped it in a black sock since my hair is pretty dark and then i got these little rubber bands to try like the end of a braid or something like that and i got all of this got to be glued gel also from amazon i heard it's the best i also labeled it because people be stealing then i brought another gel and then get this type of brush like with the hard bristles like if you bring one thing for her bring this because it really like slicks your hair back into that nice sleek looking bun if you know what i'm talking about and then a ton of hair ties and bobby pins regular brush obviously for tangles and a comb to part my hair because i heard that if you have the brush with the pointy end apart your hair that you'll have to break it off or throw it away so make sure you do not do that and how many more packages do i have oh i have my change of clothes and then how do i get this out oh my gosh i brought a folder make sure you bring all of the documents that you got from meps or your recruiter i'm bringing a direct deposit slip so they can give me my money brought my birth certificate and i also brought my military id i already have them because i'm in the reserves and then your driver's license and your social security card make sure you have all of that i think you can make copies if you don't want to bring the original and then for my clothes i'll show you what i'm bringing so i just have socks underwear and i have dark wash jeans make sure you don't wear spandex to match because they will literally kick you out when i took my ass back i had leggings on because i didn't know any better and i had to wait for my recruiter to bring me jeans most embarrassing thing ever so just nice little dark wash jeans nothing too fancy then i have a black top i got like a sweater material since it's really cold here and then i brought one extra t-shirt so i can wear that in ait when it's warmer outside and i think that's about it and then what i wore to the hotel is just sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt because it's super comfortable can travel in it easy peasy and then don't forget your phone charger you will hate your life if you forget your phone charger so if anyone's actually watching this and you like the video make sure you comment if you want any more information about basic i'll get out in april so i could definitely make like story times like what basic training is like during covid in 2021 like the shark attack went away apparently so i could talk about the first 100 yards just anything like that might do a hair tutorial for y'all i suck at hair though so you might not want my opinions but anyway see y'all when i get out if i make it
