ARK Survival Ascended - 1st time playing ARK E01

[Music] welcome everybody Welcome to Ark survival Ascension so this game kind of came out of nowhere for me I am not not an ark player I've never played Ark I don't know what I'm doing this is all new to me so the first thing I'm going to do is go into my settings here and let's see how I am everything I I hear this game is very memory intensive it's like uh Unreal Engine 5.2 on steroids and uh very very I think I'm going to turn DLS on um and I'm going to set it to balanced and Nvidia reflect slowly see on good and let's see field of view that's always important I like putting that there mid camera loose camera first person writing off camera Bob no turn that off I don't like head Bobs and okay save back so like I said I've never really played this game uh this is all new to me there's a dinosaur already is he going to eat me doesn't seem to be wanting to oh wait there's an hey oh hey oh hey oh yeah you you stay right over there uh can I grab any of these rocks so anyways like I was saying I've never played Ark guys oh here we go I have no idea what I'm doing Ark has not been necessarily a game that's been on my radar oh I can punch can I punch a tree no oh oh I can punch a tree am I am I taking damage where's my health meter I leveled level up is available access inventory to apply it um tab q no I I all right I apologize now for all of you experienced Ark players I don't know what I'm doing this is new to me health I guess I can o yeah I did take some damage from punching the tree I guess but I'm regening that's okay I really hope that's not attacking me uh oxygen food that's a lot of stats man fortitude does that mean I can carry things there's no hover explanation that would have been nice I mean some of this is obvious some of this is not so obvious so you have to level your crafting skill all right fortitude I'm naked and stuff so I'm assuming we're going to go there okay whoa points of 16 points to spend all right I could already make a stone pick and a torch let's go with Hatchet let's go with spear oh no wait no can I I'm going to die already aren't I I'm surrounded I'm dead well that was quick are they still here are they going to kill me right away where are they let's gather up some stuff am I getting I leveled up from dying how do you level up from dying I really didn't gain any knowledge other than dinosaurs hurt all right let's take a look points available maybe we can drop some into Health yep uh I probably want to do a campfire and I want to do some clothing all right and oh I don't have enough to get a water skin that's all right cuz it seems like oh hello dude what the heck are you wild female dodo the doo birds it's level five I'm like level one no I'm not one anymore cuz I leveled up what am I level four okay I got some wood I got some straw thatch and some of that all right can I make a spear no can I make a hatchet no can I make this no all right so I am missing stuff I'm going to spam the E button to harvest as I run along these rocks because I have no idea what I'm doing here we go r e easy access take all this stuff I can only take one at a time why uh transfer t t t t okay are those same two dinosaurs around here I leveled up again I am level five from picking leaves okay let's see if I whoa what is that that's a big lump of something in the water okay let's check out the water physics that's all right whoa whoa hey whoa no piranha no okay what in the world he's coming for me okay he stopped no he's still coming for me am I going to be able to hide from that guy he's crossing the river oh hello another one I still haven't made a spear yet let's see can I make that no requirements I need two flint can I make that no can I make this no can I make this no okay I need to find flint and sticks got some berries guys I don't know what the story of this game is I don't know what you're supposed to be doing other than it's implied in the name survive so what survive alongside of dinosaurs and and I'll be honest one of the oh my God there's two dinosaurs going at it right there what no was he going at me or was he just running toward me how do I get flint any of these rocks on the beach is this all just graphical rocks that I can't pick up how do you know what oh wait I picked something up I picked up a rock how did I know it was okay another one how do you differentiate from the ones that are on the ground that you can pick up versus is this one that I can pick up no guys I put this on medium setting as far as difficulty I may have have decided incorrectly I should have went with easy okay he's just kind of ignoring me okay hello can I just use a stick as a weapon can I just pick up a stick and use it as a weapon okay rock rock rock how do I I can't tell how any of this is harvestable there's no there's no nothing is Ark considered a hardcore survival game guys let me know in the comments below I do not know where this game falls in the category of difficulty there's a blur going on let me see if I can f that motion blur is driving me insane there it is off light Bloom uh let's turn that off okay what else foliage interaction quality limits I don't I don't none of this makes sense to me foliage quality High how about we set that lower General all right save back and resume all right the motion blur is off I don't know if that's better or not how do I know which rocks I can Harvest I'm going okay I can pick that one up I can okay so slightly whoa what where over there is that what okay slightly yellow rocks I can pick up all right let's see what I can make now uh can I make this yet no why can I make this at what no okay 12 fiber eight wood two flint what do I have thatch wood Stone fiber i h i i have the stuff I think to make this um my weight is already at halfway I guess weit so let's increase that okay I can make a water skin now probably need to get a sleeping bag a foundation some walls and that's it okay um so crafting how do I how do I craft right click does nothing double click gives a little noise requires okay crafting requirements one stone one wood 10 who wait where that sounds like it's right in my ear it's right over there okay you stay over there go back to here all right one stone one wood 10 thatch I've got Stone I've got wood I've got thatch so I'm confused and grams one point um so I'm double clicking right clicking middle clicking left clicking right clicking hitting enter nothing how do I craft nothing I know I have the components for this do I need to put them on my hot bar maybe so hot bar no hot bar no no hot bar yes berries apparently I can eat food on my hot bar okay let's just drag all these boys down here um and grams let's see okay let's go oh up here crafting I feel like an idiot all right so I don't have Flint I don't have Flint I don't have Flint I don't have hide but I can make this okay I can make a shirt okay did it it go in my inventory there it is equip I have a shirt I have a shirt all right so where go back Cosmetics okay so I really need to find flint um oh I can make this there we go and I leveled again um well if I let let's pump some into there okay so thatch ceiling doors and windows is a good idea and roof is probably a good idea as well all right so inventory go back there it is I got a pick so maybe now I can get flint yes Flint let's get some of that 10 got rocks we'll just go down can I engrave my name f a whoa that almost fell on me did I just did I just break that whole Rock um all right let me stand behind this one something whoa where right there get on this side of the Rock all right go back to here crafting I can make a spear yes I need to get more fiber so I can make some more clothes all right we have a basic tool and a basic spear right let's go to this tree can I harvest oh I got unequip the spear in order to harvest okay um is that is that rain it's raining of course it is I wonder if I'm going to get cold I need shelter can I not harvest the stuff Hello Harvest anything harvestable thank you not sure what I'm harvesting I'm just just sticking my hand in the bush like a good Neanderthal so far I'm impressed with the graphics which is the one primary reason why I never played original Arc um I saw some videos and I was like not really hip into dinosaurs one thing that you will find with me in this video is I will not I leveled again man they are just throwing levels at me I did not modify any this is all vanilla whatever whatever they gave me I took under the medium setting and honestly I didn't even know where any of the settings were other than picking easy medium and hard so okay let's go back into my here crafting can I make pants I can I need to make shoes make some shoes can I make no I need hide for shoes I need hide for gloves can I make a hat I can make a hat can I make an umbrella all right equip and equip all right cool what do I do with this now uh CH chibi dyo level up zero zero max level zero find all explore notes for 10 maximum levels right click for more options drop respawn available in a couple seconds survival component survival component to be determined okay I apologize guys if you're a veteran uh but hopefully I'll bring you some hilarity and you'll sit there rubbing your head going I can't believe this guy and I'll make you chuckle uh cuz I do not know what I'm doing wait imagination because he was level oh wait wait here we go um e drag body there we go what did I get what did I get from him I got one hide and seven meat okay uh should I try to I guess I need shelter um I'm going to continue to harvest here I can't hold my weapon and harvest which I think is a little questionable can't seem to walk and shw gun I am hot it said level up is available okay man they're just throwing levels at me um weight is becoming an issue so let's do that I can make a storage box there we go a slingshot that sounds okay a moral imp pestle I can imagine spark powder created a grinting flint with stone give me require okay I don't I don't blood extraction syringe for blood transfusions God a saddle what do I am I going to ride a dinosaur sloped let's do that all right let's oh a simple bed okay all right I think the rain is going away I guess I need to put a bed down down somewhere more dinos this kind of looks like a nice little area to just make a little starter base so let's go into crafting and uh foundations how many of those can I make that's one two I can make two okay okay so let's put those on my hot bar I'm assuming okay can I turn the wheel okay that's um how do I let's do oh Okay click and then up and Okay click one click up and down and then turn I didn't do anything to level up I literally clicked and I got a level this is a little weird guys all right so I'm going to put that there and I'm going to put that there and I don't have enough for more so I'm just going to keep harvesting I think can I harvest I can't okay that I've picked up a rock even though I'm standing in front of leaves okay those I can get can I anything yes this it's out a bush the forest is quite dark I'm afraid to go in there actually I'm a little nervous guys um God I can't imagine look at that look at that ray of light coming through the trees that looks amazing and there's like a a a Mist like a fog that I got to say I'm impressed I'm impressed you won me over very nice I heard people are having an issue with frames per second um I've been reading I did a little research on the forums I didn't read on how to play the game that I did not know um but I read uh just you know I wanted to see what people thought of the game before I spent 40 bucks on it um and seeing if it would be popular or not and then I started seeing videos pop up all over YouTube didn't watch them um but I started seeing so I'm like you know what this actually kind of looks good the graphics are my speed so I think I'm going to do that so I picked it up I was GNA what what was that about heat I saw a message come up about heat all right let me go back more leveling um stamina fortitude let's go with fortitude and I got 15 more points to spend all right let's I'm night time is coming spy glass okay I don't I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet a cooking pot okay all right I haven't I'm learning how to create all these things and I I I I don't even have a base yet so I'm kind of questioning how how I wish I would see what that tool tip that comes up as it seems like it comes up and leaves right away okay I'm seeing a lot of fruits and berries all right should I eat some all right let's try to eat something did that okay it didn't poison me so let's go into here and let's see okay food is going up water's almost up see day time it's 1623 okay temperature is 33° C all right uh heat resistance 7 7 cold resistance 49 all right and okay this is riveting footage of me picking leaves and berries I'm sure that uh this is exciting although the the light shaft looks pretty cool okay lot of a lot of berries lots of fruits I'm looking for thatch and I think I might have gotten lost oh boy let me head back toward the water you're hot you should find some place to cool down um and I level again um I don't I don't know how to cool down there's a flying dinosaur over there where are those two foundations I laid down uh can I zoom in no my Mouse wheel hold M for M hold M info scroll oh there we go okay um that's where I had died so I really don't know where I am guys I'm so lost right now what is that that is a a giant beaver that is a giant beaver holy cow that is one big ass Beaver skunk Beaver that would be awful okay oh I guess I I need to I get so distracted I got another level um melee damage let's go for that I I'm I'm going to hold off on spending points on this stuff cuz I don't I really don't know what I'm spending points on just yet what okay that was really loud so it looks like the yellow rocks are the ones that are not fake all right I wish I knew [Music] where maybe it's around that bend right there where I laid those two foundations okay so I can't it looks like I can't Sprint anymore am I caring too much oh hello no you don't want me okay I do need to get I do need to get some hides was that you're hot should I go swim cool off there was piranha in the water earlier am I cooling off oh hello who are you let's see did I cool off temperature 12° C apparently there's my oh there it is I found it all right where am I okay I need know where I am now okay cool wow you get away from the water a little bit and you get all the sounds that's kind of cool all right so let's see if we can make some more stuff here I can make two more and that's it of all that stuff that I gathered I could make two okay all right so I don't even have enough to make walls yet um let's try can I use I'm not sure what I got out of that [Music] um okay I'm getting some stuff so I guess this is better than handpicking leveled up again can't do anything with that I got wood with that I don't know that I need wood right now looks like mostly what I need is like thatch can't do what I hear footsteps that freaks me out man every time I hear footsteps can I not is it hand harvesting okay it's hand harvesting you what are you hello hello okay I guess I scared her so so far I haven't really seen too many uh FPS issues oh wait is she back hello hello she's just kind of circling around me all right all right where's my can I if I hit three Del will it make it no oh wait oh yes it did okay um going put that there can I can I match this hello am I going to have to put two because it's too tall all right how about if we go this way with it she's just kind of let's see okay demolish I can do that do I get my stuff back let's see three okay I'm making three another Foundation place it cool all right let's go into my menu here walls that wall and doorway okay not quite sure how that works let's try that it's making it go into my inventory it made a thatch wall and doorway so it can be both what's it say right click for more options Place drop track okay all right so four oh wait here we go uh snaps one of two cu R is wall okay and doorway and thatch doorway window wall all right okay so let's can I make another one yep so let's do that make another one and this time I think I want to do a window there we go do I have enough to make another yes I do and right there I like the construction it's nice things seem to be snapping um I like this a little better than what we just saw in in shrouded where I was having some serious snapping issues there um so this one I think I'm going to do the doorway in the middle there man those those jungle sounds okay do that there make another one guys this is just total Discovery for me I have no clue of what I'm doing I apologize um never crafted an ark before um four I think I'm going to make this one a window also can I make another okay good I can make another one and should I make that a yeah I want make that a okay I hear that guy's still out there okay now can I make a roof crafting all right guys I think this is a different no get out of the is this the same one that we saw earlier no this guy's different and he's attacking oh boy here we go oh he spit at me he's he was level 75 guys I do not understand okay that's over all right guys I I don't understand the um the leveling how can I have killed something that was level 75 that's got to mean something different than what I'm used to or why can't I not Target this I mean this is like oh okay I got I got some hides okay so can I finally make shoes shoes no I need three more hides um let let me know in the comments below what the levels me I I is it I would think if something was level 75 and I'm level seven I'm pretty much a dead person that's the kind of leveling I'm kind of used to ooh little little stutter there lots of this stuff I guess I should eat some some of that um I probably need to make a campfire here real [Music] soon let's see I made I accidentally made a so I'm going to just make that into a little porch can I drag these off okay I can all right and I want to make a roof and stairs okay let's drag that over to here okay let's go inside and okay um Mouse wheel no um there we there we go make another one let's make I'll need four more and I am out of thatch all right let's go get some go a shafts a light or something else um could be a little B bit better but it could be my settings I'll have to try this game in a higher setting but right now I have it set to medium can I make it from this side I can make that one I believe the sun is starting to get down so I definitely want to get in some shelter I don't know the day night cycle how fast they are again everything is set to defaults okay so now let's go back to [Music] crafting uh sloped wall yes I think that's what I want see yes it is perfect and I need more okay can I camping my body oh my gosh how do I do [Music] this I'm guessing that's somewhere I need to go how do where is that okay dude that dinosaur is still camping my body oh no that's a turtle okay there he is over there I guess he went across the river I'm not too worried about that body I'm more worried about this one that has all my stuff on it good thing I dropped a lot of things on here but that dinosaur was wrecking my house ah is there a way to take all folder view t for transfer okay go back into my house oh he destroyed my wall look at that okay so let's let's equip this stuff and I was dropping a bunch of stuff on the ground and now I don't see it anywhere was that a mistake oh man all that thatch I had wait insufficient man I was right here I wonder if it fell underneath this Foundation okay all right guys so the game crashed on me uh again well not again but this has happened after two deaths now I keep dying at the same location and that dinosaur is totally camping my body he's just wandering back and forth back and forth at my body so I'm just going to kind of stand here for a little bit and watch him I couldn't find where I dropped those materials I think what I'm going to have to do oh dear God is that a what was that a me what I think what I might have to do is die again by luring that dinosaur away from my house cuz he's just literally doing laps around my house here he is see now he's turning around and he's going back to my house yep oh wait no there he goes wait is he going to go stops I think he's really looking for me it's amazing um that guy has killed me three times now in here okay so I deleted oh please tell me that's not him I hear something there's a little one right there I'm not sure what all that is that sounds terrible I'm going to get away here all right let's equip my stuff again got my fiber I I've have not recovered the wood [Applause] man if you really get into this I don't know if you've ever played this game the sound is amazing okay so let's see see if I can e repair repair e demolish insufficient okay can I close my door okay nighttime is brutal all right I got seven more points I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to put some more points into damage um and more into Health what else can I unlock here a wooden Club an easily made melee weapon that is excellent for knocking out targets only effective at Short range a Bola oh that might let me get some distance like if I throw a bowler around its feet and then run away what was that fart sound did you guys hear that is there literally a dinosaur outside of my house farting right now I heard a fart sound I'm not kidding and now it's laughing okay I need thatch to need I think I'll get this wood here demolish repair um I'm going to need a wall and I'm going to need a foundation all Foundation how am I doing on food and water good cuz I just died I'm going to put myself in here first okay and there we go and this probably open repair demolish repair I need more thatch it's interesting I don't know if you guys can see this but um the parts that need repair are shaded a little bit so I can tell which ones need uh repairing I am so worried about adventuring out here with that dinosaur that was doing circles around me all right let's pick up equip fists okay I wonder if I just chose a really bad spot to make um to make a a first little base I don't even know where to go I'm assuming the goal is to get to that Tower in the middle I can only assume uh okay so that's repairing and that's repairing so they're just healing over time that's an interesting way huh and they're changing colors okay I think my base is back to health oh this one uh repair okay now what I was trying to do before all this Calamity began was to create a box and there it is I finally have enough to do that okay um I think I'm going to do more wait I've got 122 points okay maybe we need to upgrade the kind of building we have Foundation ceiling door there we go wooden triangle Foundation ooh like Conan roof pillar slope a stimulant okay uh a shield Stone oh a bow yes arrows small crop plot I haven't really found the need for that just yet ooh spiked wall where's my box that I can make I made two boxes that's okay oh there goes my torch okay all right let's get rid of some of this stuff transfer transfer spoiled oh my meat spoiled no I was totally meaning to cook that up too oh I got eight meat here all right so Stone let's get rid of that common blueberry okay let's keep that stuff um can I make a campfire I'm assuming I can make a campfire in my house and and what is this metal okay uh camp fire there we go I don't this might burn my house down let's see uh here we go all right consumables must contain a fuel such as wood or thatch to light the fire Cooks raw mood okay um there's let me split that in half and let's take that over there well I can do that let's do 10 for now and we'll transfer that over there and light fire nice okay food Health storage wait I gu I'm just going to let that cook and split try split half I'll put that there okay I got plenty of let me close my door no what dolish pick up access inventory okay here we go all right we got meat cooked meat let's put that on our hot bar and let's eat one let's see food and water I'm a little L low on water all right well no did you guys hear that get please tell me he's not back again he's back oh what is that a wild Raptor I killed it no not him again oh come on come on come on fight come on no don't kill me this time no ah he got me again look at all those skulls over there [Music] man this one dinosaur man he is just plaguing me give me some wood no I might have to start in a different location guys I don't know I keep getting camped by this one dinosaur who's like very red to me what no is that him please tell me that's not him oh please please daylight yes please is that him that I don't think that's him I think that's another dinosaur there he is he sees me again let's see if I can lure him away yep he sees me you may get me again but at least I lured you wait this is my spawn point no I got to I got to lure him far wait where'd he go there he is he's looking for me okay all right I think I lured him away guys oh that dinosaur has been haunting [Music] me what was that boom please tell me that was just the music make my way back oh I hope my steaks didn't burn okay okay good I have my staks I guess one of them went bad okay let's equip my stuff and what is this charcoal nice not sure what I can make with charcoal yet but I'll find out let's put that there [Music] and I'm hot well I'm standing next to a fire all right guys I think I'm going to cook up my steaks and call it good from here my first
