[Music] welcome welcome to crew live so thankful that you guys have joined us tonight really crew live is a conversation we take time to talk to our crew leaders they're really of the small group leaders of our church and we're going to take a moment today really to dive into a conversation and these conversations are always my favorite always leave better i always feel refreshed after talking to these leaders and maybe you're tuning in why don't you share this with someone let them know about crew live pastor rich preached an incredible message this past sunday that we're going to get into but before we get into the message i thought we would introduce ourselves at crew you maybe are not in a crew but we want you to get in a crew we always start cruise off with a little bit of an icebreaker let's go and so today i thought why don't you say your name and maybe a favorite childhood memory like and let me break it down a little bit not just a favorite childhood hood memory but if you could bring one thing back from your childhood that's what i want to say a little bit of nostalgia if you could bring one thing back from your childhood what would that be i'll go first my name is manushka if i could bring anything back i would probably bring back dunkaroos yeah there's two levels of you got the vanilla you got the chocolate chocolate was always the best better flavor so i would bring back chocolate dunkers that's great my name's caleb and if i could bring anything back it would probably be i had this old navy bright orange long long sleeve shirt with an inflatable bubble and when you blew it up a snowboarder came off of the chest that's awesome that's amazing i am my name is mika hi can i use the first half of the icebreaker the memory the childhood memory because i'm still young so i don't know no for me i a memory that i liked i can't recreate it now uh i used to take the laundry baskets that my grandma my mom would use and i like turtles and so i would put them on my back and i fit in the basket and i would just be a turtle so i wouldn't want that to happen again yeah yeah but it was literally like probably like the best part of me as a kid i think was it was being a kid so great well my name is zach freeman and one of my think my favorite i think favorite objects i would bring back honestly is stretch armstrong first you don't know what a stretch armstrong is so stretch armstrong was a action figure or i guess he was a huck hogan kind of looking guy and his arms and legs would stretch like as far as you could possibly take him and that was just such like an in toy i remember that it was such a big deal i've heard of that bring back her stories that's awesome uh my name is michelle and i think one of the memories i have that just people don't remember even do anymore i think is the joy of making a mixtape like listening to the radio and then hitting like the double like play record time and then you'd have to stop it when your song ended and then like you just wait for the next song that you like like making a playlist is just not the same thing right it's not the same labor of love yeah i was like what was like your best like i guess genre that you did it was bad i mean listen to like the weekly top 40s what was it back then like ace of base like i don't know some weird things that that we'd put together and trade with our friends and of that yeah yeah bygone era i cannot relate but um limewire i remember that was it yes i remember that yeah yeah everybody was a pirate yeah i mean don't condone it yeah we didn't i was young you know so anyways uh i'm gonna follow me with like a childhood memory for me it was every saturday morning or or yeah every saturday night we'd spend the night at my grandma's and then on sunday morning before church she'd make us pancakes like every single morning like without fail wheat she'd make pancakes we'd hang out with her we go to church after church he'd take us to i lived in omaha nebraska so the big place to go to was kmart and uh kmart had had a little caesars inside and so we'd eat pizza and breadsticks and i remember i would get an icy and i'd be so happy and i was in no way a healthy kid because i was a little overweight but i was so happy in those moments and those are my favorite childhoods what's so good we're so glad you guys are tuning in today for crew live and as you all as munozca already said we had an awesome weekend this past weekend and pastor rich preached a message a fire message called when god gets mad and you know at first glance you're looking at the title and you're probably thinking man what does that even mean right but really when we when password starts to explain it it's really about why god gets matter what makes god mad and and really what the what the message is about is about jesus's life during holy week or the last week of his life as he was going to be crucified and and he brings up some great great points there's a couple parts in scripture where he shares that that you know jesus overturns the tables and then even before that he cursed the fig tree and just explains all those wonderful things about the text but really what what it comes down to is we need to bear fruit in our lives yeah and without being you know connected to the vine or connected to the source we won't bear fruit and we'll weather and die and that is the crux of the message and it's so amazing um anybody else have any of any other thing that stuck out to them from this match so am i got i like what you said about the tree for me i think the thing that stuck out was this whole idea of pain and uh and i think everyone here can relate to pain we've all had painful seasons and for me it's like something that pastor rich had said is just like you know the prerequisite to long term gain is pain and so having that that the perspective on i'm going through a painful season and not just want to get through it which we all naturally want to do to bypass a painful season but understand he's like hey like on the other side of this there's something to be gained in the long term and that's not always easy to do in the midst of the moment you know it's it's really easy to want to be like oh man what i got to go through this thing like how can i bypass it how can i get through the shortcut and make it as short and as painless as possible but really pain is what leads to our growth in the end of the day that's so good totally i think for me something that stood out was when um pastor rich talked about discipline and when he said discipline is short-term pain um for a long-term gain and i'm like an imagery kind of person and so that immediately made me think of like god the father because like that's who he is and uh like parents i mean your parents you'll get that like you discipline your child because you love them and because you want more for them and you want them to thrive and be the best they can be and so just like in moments in time when there's seasons where discipline from god maybe looks like just the door didn't open or like we lost something but really inevitably anything that god does is because he wants to lead us to a place where like you said we're bearing fruit and we're stepping into the fullness of what he has for us and so i just loved that idea yeah and sometimes that's a beautiful process of of bearing fruit in the journey of learning and growth and that sometimes it is sometimes it's painful sometimes it you know includes discipline and life lessons but if we don't go through that then we don't bear fruit right gotta bear fruit and so if you want to follow along you can you can find the link in the description below but the the text is is from mark 11 12-22 and it says this the next day as they were leaving bethany jesus was hungry seeing in the distance of fig tree in leaf he went to find out if it had any fruit when he reached it he found nothing but leaves because it was not the season for figs then he said to the tree may no one ever eat fruit from you again and his his disciples heard him say it on reaching jerusalem jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there he overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves it would not allow anyone to carry a merchandise through the temple courts and as he taught them he said is it not written my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations but you have made it a den of robbers the chief priest and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him for they feared him because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching when evening came they went out of the city in the morning as they went along they saw the fig tree withered from the roots peter remembered and said to jesus rabbi look the fig tree you cursed has withered this is verse 22 have faith in god jesus answered that's great and let's jump into the main idea it says god and mad lately whatever the source of your anger know that you have the right to experience that emotion why because we were created in the image of god who has emotions as well so everything from joy to jealousy however the distinguishing factor is that when it comes to god's anger it is righteous he operates out of truth not out of impulse we'll know that we are emulating god in our display of emotion when we are in control of our anger not our anger in control of us and how many of us know like that's not always easy in the brief passage in mark 11 we get to see the motivation of god's anger he sends a message that he was not happy with the way the pharisees leadership had turned his house of prayer into a zone of economic manipulation the poor were being taken advantage of and the gentiles were crowded out blocking them from the blessing of forgiveness they so desperately needed jesus in his righteous anger put a stop to the madness flipped tables and in a prophetic gesture cursed the fruitless fig tree from the outside looking in it would have seemed that jesus was on a rampage but he was moved by compassion to correct the situation jesus rooted out the hypocrisy from the day by his destructive yet gracious power and in doing so gave a lesson to his followers that in order to please god it would take more than being all show and no substance it would take faith in him so just because god corrects you doesn't mean that he curses you that's great and let's go into point one that's great so yeah point number one is curses the tree somebody throw that in the chat curses the tree so then he said to the tree may no one ever eat fruit from you again when jesus when jesus noticed that the fig tree only had leaves but no fruit he rebuked it on our faith journey god god disciplines us not to hurt us but to help us discipline can hurt it can't even be painful but with love god is telling us there is much more in store hypocrisy is consciously doing the right thing for the wrong reasons don't confuse god's discipline for punishment discipline like mika just said is short-term pain or a long-term gain god doesn't want to destroy you he came to save you god destroys it before it destroys you wow so question number one what can you do daily to produce godly fruit in your life i think that's such a great question because i'm thinking about this story in its entirety about the pharisees and and him cursing the tree and clearing the temple and having all these different encounters with different people um and he's there's like one clear message that they think he's trying to portray to people and it's like okay do you look the part or act are you actually the part right right and um when i think about the pharisees you know i was listening to actually a podcast about the pharisees today from one of my favorite bible teachers marty solomon got to give a shout out to the mom podcast um because i learned so much from it but one of the things that he was talking about is that really the pharisees these group of people they they knew the text they did a whole lot of things right but they had lacked in compassion they lacked in the way that they loved people or dealt with people and so i think the way that we have to look at godly fruit is really what the fruits of the spirit are because sometimes we can like well i'm successful in this area or i go to church and that's awesome but actually that's not godly fruit you know it's love joy peace patience kindness all these different things and you don't need godly fruit uh just to deal with yourself you need godly fruit to deal with other people it all comes back to how do i treat people yeah the reason why we need the fruits of the spirit is to learn how to interact with each other right it's not just for ourselves i need patience to deal with other people i need love i need kindness i need all these things to learn how to deal with other people and i think that's the big message here that i think we can take part of and so for me when i think about what i can do daily to produce godly fruit is to think about people and to think about how i'm treating people and to think about how i'm loving people i'm interacting with people what does it look like do i care about people who are lost and broken or who have less than than i do like am i thinking about other people other than myself and so get myself in a mindset where it's not just about me like yes god i want you to produce like fruit and me and sometimes it's like well god i want you to bless me and give me this and sometimes i can look at like in my own life like like that's godly fruit to him like oh god just blessed me with this thing that's fruit that's right but it's like that's not that's not the fruit that he's looking for and so um for me i think it's just being reminded that my interactions with people and how i love people is the way that fruit will continue to be produced it's really good that's really really good i think i like that because a lot of times i think in our in our day and age and our culture and our society and our generation we're all about that bottom line we're all about producing and about over producing how can we top that and so and sometimes you can get that really confused with fruit and it's really not it is a holy spirit and i think the way that you at least can daily produce that or at least be be in a place or that that god can can can work in you to produce fruit is that communing with him every day taking the time to get with him to pray to read your bible in the morning a lot of times it's just just quieting your own thoughts right and sometimes i think what you said even just dealing with other people or being able to to show the fruit of the spirit in your life i think in order to do that you have to you have to humble yourself in the morning and take the time to go hey like god i need help in the little things in my life i need your help to to do x y and z today i need your help to be able to you know to make this thing happen over here big and small when i think when you bring those things to god i think you get less there's less tension in your life when it comes to the things that are happening in the natural and that allows you to respond with the fruit of the spirit because you understand it's like well god's taking care of this right and i can be gentle yeah i can be loving yeah i can be kind right i can be faithful i don't have to worry about it because he's got it i've already prayed about this morning already given it to him and i've seen him do it before right so i just gotta trust a minute and so that's kind of i feel like that's this my way is like man i gotta come back to him in the morning and make sure i lay it laid in front of him before i go that's great i think too the i think you can be really intentional about what you're consuming right and i think that's so powerful right because we talk about it but like what it is that we consume that's what's going to overflow that's what's going to spill out of us so we know we're supposed to fix our thoughts on things that are true and pure and lovely and like you know you think about it like what am i watching what am i listening to who are the people that are speaking into my life that i'm allowing their voice to become you know that reel that's playing in my head and i think that if we want the fruits of the spirit and we want to see you know the results of living with the fruits of the spirit like how is it you know i'm watching this show and it's um you know causing all of this anxiety and being well peace is the fruit of the spirit not this anxiety like i can do something i know what i can do that can bring me peace right grabbing your bible having your quiet time surrounding yourself with the right people um so i think that if we're just discerning about what we're allowing in we'll we'll see the the fruits of that as what comes out that's good yeah a lot that's so good that's so good and that'll take us to the second question um which is describe a time where god cut a branch in your life that was not bearing fruit how did he transform your situation we're getting deep in this one today i guess i'll take this one you know the most spiritual one in the group but um but i think for me i i think about a lot of times it's happened in friendships sometimes even in relationships where um i was in a situation where maybe the person or people that i was involved with weren't bad necessarily but it it kind of brought things out of me that that didn't represent those fruits you know and it didn't really prompt like that patience that kindness and and there were moments that i can remember where especially going in i know i opened up talking about pain but as you're in this thing like similar to pain you don't always notice it off the bat you know you don't notice when you're in it and it isn't until um you get to this almost like a breaking point you get to kind of like the precipice the tipping point of this thing and and god really allows you to really just step back and be like hey like what what i'm doing in your life and and this thing that that is involved like i'm gonna take it away not because these situations are people they're bad for you but because i want what's better for you there's there's a better you on the other side of this and and and as he's cut off these branches i can i can look even now like very recently in a season where i can just be like well god you really were faithful to complete the work that you've been that you started so long ago and uh and it's just like and god really surprises us every single time like there's there hasn't been a single time where he's cut off a branch and i get to the other side of it and i'm just like oh i expected that no it's like it's literally a surprise but it's also my humanity because i'm always thinking like i got this you know like i'm as i'm in the middle he's like i got it you know i'm good whatever i'ma figure it out and i forget about god in the process it's just how it happens it's a real life it happens to me it happens to the best of us but as he cuts off those branches it's like i realize things in me is just like oh god like you really like you remind me of the man that you're calling me to be you remind me of the son that you're calling me to be the brother you're calling me to be the friend you're calling me to be and uh and i was falling short in this area and by cutting this off i'm actually growing in all of these spaces and so that's kind of how i relate to that first that question that's great i love that that kind of challenges me because it the question made me think like the time when i think god cut out a branch in my life it was really when he took me out of a season in my life i think about when i got baptized actually um that was like a very transformative moment so i think that's one of the biggest times that i can still recall and i see where god transformed my life like there was a point in my life where maybe this is you and maybe you were hurt by the church or something happened in your life and you were disappointed and that disappointed you translated it to god and you projected it onto god and you know your relationship with god is strained or maybe you're even questionable about stepping into one with him well i was at the point in my life where i wanted nothing to do with god because i didn't understand enough and when my father passed away i spiraled there's no better way to just give you an idea i spiraled and if i look back on like the four years of like high school for me i was just trying to fill a hole that i had in my heart and my spirit and even a conversation that we had not too long ago it was a god-shaped hole like there was a god-shaped hole in my heart and i think that all of us because of different things maybe we have god-shaped holes but you don't always realize that what you're missing that you're trying to fill with material or substance or things you're not satisfied because like that's not what you need what you need is god what you need is that spirit filling you and so it was just really cool because i was producing nothing good with my life at the time i was chaotic i was selfish i was living for me and for the world and that's not what god calls us to and that's not just what we even learned from his model and so when i got baptized it was cool because i was losing so many things and you talked about you know even sometimes relationships with people you know they fade and they dwindle and and i just remember in that season like i was losing so much it seemed like but i was gaining so much more and so for me it was just like stepping out of the branch of my old ways and at first i didn't choose really to break the branch off he broke it off for me i was supposed to go to new york for university and god said no and it's funny because i thought it was the end of the road for me i was dramatic and miserable and the reality is if i would have gone there my pit just would have been deeper and darker probably wouldn't have come back to god yet and so it's just beautiful even like you said it's when you look back you know after a branch has been broken in your life and you see something and you don't know what god is doing in the beginning i just want to encourage you like i'm sure that if god is changing something in your life it's not to make it harder or more challenging he's trying to free you he's trying to free you from something he's trying to lead you like back on the right path that's full of life so that was one for me anyone else before we jump into point two let's do it all right cleanse is the temple the merchants in the temple were using the temple for extortion in the area meant for gentiles to come close to the presence of god meaning they are excluding who god wanted to include the religious leaders thought the messiah would come to cleanse the temple of gentiles he instead came to clear the temple for the gentiles jesus wasn't mad about what was taking place but how it was taking place just because you come to church doesn't mean you're in christ you can do a spiritual thing with an evil heart ask god to cleanse your heart the motivation and intention of your heart is what gets god's attention so our first question says how do you see yourself becoming more like jesus and less like you yeah i mean i can jump in on that i think becoming like jesus um super elementary but it's just spending time with him yeah so what does that look like like i'll try to ask myself that a lot like the practicality of the bible how do i apply it what does it look like and to spend time with him is in his word it's living and breathing uh like i've read the book of mark 10 times and i had never heard it presented or thought about the last week of jesus's life yeah and the way pastor rich presented it until yesterday and so to spend like spending time with jesus prioritizing jesus talking to jesus literally praying you know and just really really posturing your heart to receive uh you can't help but look like him yeah if you come to him like he he even brought it up yesterday the book of james says draw close to him yeah and he'll draw close to you it's good it's a relational thing yeah so i think what you're saying is so beautiful it's like you can't help to look like him when you spend time with you totally just it just comes naturally with being a part of the relationship and um i love this question like how do you see yourself becoming more like jesus um i always say this i was just like everything good about me is jesus like everything good about anything that people compliment me on or like about me i'm like that's god i know that's not me i'm in i just have this full understanding that um that what i have is because um i'm trying to look more like jesus christ that's like studying what did jesus do how did he respond and just like you said like i've read mark tons of times i've read that story about the fig tree many times i've read many commentaries in search of trying to understand it totally like legit i was like i'm like i've been trying to understand that text for the longest and i'm so thankful that passwords really broke it down the way that he did because he gave me this new understanding and i think the more that we kind of journey through mark the more that we see why jesus did what he did so it's just like not not just what gets god mad but like why does he get mad yeah right why should i get mad at the same things that he got mad at like it just helps me to frame um my life and so for me i look at the life of jesus and i'm like okay i want to follow in the footsteps of my rabbi so all right i want to make jesus he would talk about him going to lonely places and praying i try to find time alone where i'm praying where it's quiet times and quiet moments but i think it's been helpful for me to read through through the text of mark and just see jesus in this new light right and to see how can i model my life the same way how can i respond react love the same way um get angry the same way like what what in what ways can i actually utilize this text and utilize this time if you didn't know our church is literally going through the book of mark since we started in january may now i think we've got about a month left in mark yeah but actually utilizing us looking at this text for it to actually transform and change me and i think it has done that um because i have seen jesus in a new light looking at it and so because of it i feel like it's like okay less of what i used to think more of how jesus thinks that's great so good i love that this sunday too is one of those for me like i'm sure you guys have all those experiences where you sit and hear or hear a message and you're like holy moly like you are i'm hearing it because this is it feels like an answered prayer because so many things you've been praying on you're just hearing someone else speak like about them to you and um i know for me for the past few weeks i just been praying almost to have more emotions because i feel like whether it was like through the pandemic or what like i don't know i have two kids trying to like run a house run a business keep up with my church like it was a lot for everyone right and i think i got to this point where i feel like like you know when when you have too much pain and then your body can't process the pain and then you just get like shut down and numb and i felt like i was in this in that like numbness and i was just praying oh my god i want to feel so like i want wanna i wanna worship here and i want my eyes to just well with tears of like gratitude i wanna like i wanna have joy in the things you have joy and i wanna feel angry i don't wanna just like feel like i'm a zombie walking through this life and um not just god getting mad but to hear pastor rich go through all of the emotions and that we're made in his image and we can there's a reason why we have these emotions because he does um and it's just like again just um a reaffirmation that like he hears our prayers and you know we get a response from him in so many different ways um but that was so powerful for me on on sunday so looking more like him right feeling what he feels yeah it's cool uh let's go into the second one it says how can we overturn obstacles in other people's lives so they can experience god's love i'll answer this one i think that um especially obviously being believers and and being community with people when you're friends with somebody or when you're walking alongside somebody you have an outside perspective to their situation yeah and that brings clarity to their life so whenever they're going through an obstacle or whatever they're going through a moment in their life where they're not seeing things clearly you help bring that clarity because you have a totally different stance in the thing and so sometimes you know people are going through something you might have been through right or you might have seen it happen or you know or you see them in a different light it's like man like i actually know that you're better than this or i know that this is actually not as bad as it is and really what it looks like is encouragement it's calling out something in somebody that you see or even prophesying and just saying hey no because it's the god that we serve you have that available to you yeah and so i think that's the way for me is like helping somebody else understand like and get through their obstacles giving them an outside perspective just making it plain and like you're saying about emotions like sometimes pastors should say it's like sometimes you know we're allowed to have our emotions their emotions are needed like god feels and loves us but there's a level of of of control self-control and poise and discernment with our emotions and what to do with that and i think allowing people to see their emotions for what they are like laying it plain and validating that you know and say hey you can have your you can have your moment you can cry for a little bit but like hey man like we got it we got to pick this up because better days are ahead so that's that's my way to do it just want to paint it paint the picture for them so they can see it in a new light for sure i think um you say like giving encouragement i think just like that idea of like the picture of jesus being so generous generosity like giving you give encouragement for me i even think of it from the lens of like uh giving of my time giving just generously serving somebody you know he came to be served or to serve not to be served and and like i think about that and like and think about other people's obstacles in their lives and sometimes it's not even all the things that i can say but you know we say it often here at vu but like the greatest message we could ever preach is just the way we live our lives yeah and so if someone can see me going through the thick of it in life but still have an ability to serve others that can inspire someone else to be like you know what like i can overcome this thing too if he can give in this season if that person can give and be generous and to serve others in this season you can help me get through where i'm going yeah i can i can i can be that image of jesus you know give them a glimpse of what it looks like to really just live the gospel and so um that's just kind of what i default to when i when i think about this question yeah i think we can't underestimate praying for them too right and i think like we talk about prayer being our first response and not our last resort and right um i was thinking kind of thinking about this question and it just it makes me emotional because i remember like for most of my 20s i was just so far from god and my husband like you guys know him but like this man i know it like he prayed for me i know morning noon and night and through all of it like talk about fruits of the spirit like he was gentle with me he was like so patient with me he never judged me he never made me feel less than he like let me bring my questions to him and he resourced me like he he bought me this book sacred pathways to like you know find how i might connect with god and um it's just incredible like just just that consistent prayer like that's not gonna return void um so yeah we you know we have to encourage people we have to um live our life as an example but man let's not forget to pray for them it was great it just uh bear with me but this question made me think of the cross and made me think of jesus um because you know like if we're trying to figure out how we can help overturn obstacles in other people's lives like it's not always going to be convenient to do that um to understand god's love like it was radical it doesn't always make sense jesus you know willingly you know getting on that cross for us without hesitation like i'm sure that was inconvenient it's clear that wasn't ideal yet he didn't hesitate he was happy to do it because he loved us so much and so for me when there's like obstacles in other people's lives i was reading this verse a few days ago and i wish i remembered it but it basically said if your brother needs help don't say wait until i can wait until tomorrow or i'll do it later yeah yeah you know what i mean because that's how i got this convenience thought going like sometimes when we're gonna like model and show god's love it's gonna be the most inconvenient of times or the most challenging of time because man like he did it for us and like it that challenges me because you know that's almost counter culture even to our human nature but that's also why it says like be not of this world you know we're not modeling the way that it would be here like we're modeling you know the way christ did it and it's challenging in a beautiful way and so at least for me that's how i i sometimes feel like it's a great way to help when people have obstacles it's it's to do it even when it's not at my convenience yeah it's great that's great be good it's uh it's pretty it's interesting that we're everything that everyone said right the book of mark is the action gospel yes and to remove obstacles there's action the cross was an action yeah your husband was an action exhortation speaking into people's lives calling them higher that's an action so in order to be that placeholder to be jesus in someone's life we have to act and that's and that checks me because it's easier to not but if we want to live like jesus i mean you have to kind of level up please level up in the background well um if you guys are following along with us we're gonna go to the summary portion of the conversation and it says here god is looking for fruit because he loves you he cuts off curses in your life those things that prevent you from bearing fruit this requires your commitment to allowing god to make these changes inside of your heart be assured that god's discipline is not harming you but rather it's setting you up for success that can flourish he's committed to perpetuating his love without obstructions as you let down the barriers you become a carrier of god's love simply trust believe and receive god is not mad at you he's madly in love with you that's great that's i love it but here's here's a call to action for this week it says this this week take inventory of all the branches that god has cut from your life and how he changed your dying fruit into his abundant blessing and it says this you are a miracle in motion thank him for all that he has done and will continue to do that's great that's good that's good right there i love that i think that's getting a practical handle um and just kind of evaluating our own lives and evaluating where we are i think i've learned so much through this conversation of what we have to do it takes action it's gonna take us acting when it's not convenient it's not always to be the perfect time but i think god has called us as the church and as crew leaders for us to do this you know crew's getting ready to start in a week we're not going to have an opportunity to essentially inconvenience ourselves like now i got to take time on a thursday night right to meet with people have to take time to invite people and to talk to people so it's it's not about it being convenient but we know there's such a greater reward there's going to be fruit not just leaves i think the leaders that are here right now the leaders that we want to be we don't want to just have leaves we want to have fruit we want to bear fruit we want people to be able to eat from the fruit that we produce that's going to be a blessing to many people and so thank you guys for tuning in to this conversation um we're going to take a moment to pray before we end this time so maybe you have a prayer request you can put it in the chat our team wants to pray for you we want to come alongside you we always take time in our cruise to celebrate wins and to pray for people that we're on the journey and so we're just going to take a moment to pray why don't we pray together god we thank you so much for this conversation god we thank you for crew live we thank you for all those who are watching jesus and we just pray that this conversation will just continue to uplift us lord god that we would continue to desire to want to be like you and to want to live like you and to produce fruit lord and i pray that people who might feel like they're not producing anything lord god i pray that you would allow fruit to be produced in their lives for people who might feel hurt from losing a branch god i pray that they would be comforted that you've got more that you've got better in store for them that god that you have a greater plan will god greater than we could ever ask or think and so lord we are trusting you with our lives god we're trusting you with what we do on a daily basis and we just give it all to you in jesus name amen amen amen amen well crews are kicking off may 10th come on really excited sunday we had an amazing crew fair we were out there we were getting people signed up for crews and the beautiful thing about our small groups is that they happen online and they happen in person and so maybe you're in the miami area and you can get into an in-person crew come join us but you might be watching this online and you're like i want to have life-giving conversations like this i want people that i can talk to and process the sermon with and process life with you can be a part of a crew you can be a part of this community all you got to do is go to vootchurch.com cruise to get more information we've also have care crews so there's curriculum-based crews we got some care crew leaders up here caleb actually leads a crew called the third option and it's about racial reconciliation and i love it we're talking about different things we're talking about how can we really bridge the gap this is what the church is called to be people who are bridging the gap helping people love people and so you can be a part of that michelle leads simba saving your marriage before it starts you got a pre-marital uh class that uh we host and so those classes you can check those crews out on bootchurch.com care but really all i'm saying is that there is a crew for you that if you're watching this get into a crew yes it's amazing to watch crew live but you can be a part of the conversation and we want you to be a part of it but we love you so much thank you for tuning in and we'll see you back here next
