Are Coding Bootcamps Still Worth it in 2024

before I dive into whether or not it's worth attending a boot camp that cost anywhere between $6 to $30,000 let's first understand how boot camps make money boot camp Founders have mastered the art of selling a dream to lowincome people now it's not going to be easy trying to find somebody who makes $30 to $50,000 a year people to afford something that's $20,000 so what do they do they're spending a lot of money on ads marketing and their sales people they really want to get you in the door the history behind boot camps is that this was started back in 2011 was a totally different time in Tech and there was actually a growing demand in having Junior Engineers who minimally trained without a CS degree be able to work uh on software engineering projects now what I recommend someone to go to a boot camp in 2024 I would say no there's less Demand on the market right now for junior Engineers a lot of the emphasis is being placed on senior and staff level Engineers so I would say going to these 3 six month boot camps it's not really going to be worth it unless you really do need that classroom instruction or your company is paying for you to go to one of these for free
