Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I've been to the Eldred but never got to climb (as it was raining) unfortunately. The Colin Arthur Dionne Memorial Climbers Camp has to be the nicest BC Rec Site I've ever been to. The forest is beautiful and so are the walls, definitely something on the list to go back to once I get better at granite climbing.
The film really embodies the spirit of access in BC, in that most outdoor enthusiasts and climbers are typically environmentally conscious people but the only way to access these amazing places is via logging roads. The film never tries to propose a solution (besides 'hey maybe leave the last little bit of old growth alone?') and doesn't really condemn the forestry industry. This is definitely a personal struggle anyone who's recreated in BC has experienced.
I watched this a few months ago. Learning about the size of BC (and Canada in general) recently has absolutely blown my mind. It's so beautiful and huge.
Absolutely incredible film. I love BC so much
Just watched it! Amazing! I wish there were more climbing movies like this out there.
This was a fantastic video
A film about Powell River! Thanks for passing along. I always wanted to make it out there but have yet to make the trek.
Great flick thanks for posting.
