hi guys welcome to this winter land i've put some ices online i'm gonna clone this so with another machine to in the back there is a builder there that pushes out information about let's see if google finds anything alci let's see lci strata clart sound call no no no no no right linux lci linux aha arch linux calamaris installer that's the website i'm talking about here we have the idea arch links provides us an iso okay they provide us an application arch iso that creates the iso that we can download in archerlings.org what if we combine color mars with australics can we do that and yes you can and the point is don't download right the point is build learn and build your own iso once with lds once with a zen kernel so these are references to the linux kernel so the lts the zen pure pure is the idea pure arch but a graphical installer please don't let me type everything in right go to a version that says here's calamar's quickly quickly done installed i was thinking of using the zen one right if you want to know what's on there click if you want to download md5 click but ah the zen is not yet there so they need to show it 30 minutes ago probably is going to be the iso is going to be there as well so it is so the links that are provided here they sometimes can be a problem so since i've just built and i just uploaded it it's just present in one place what moment for me this is far for me us santiago takes me four times as long if it's close it's one minute if it's yeah the other for me the other part of the world it's like four or five minutes so the idea let's go over the topics then while we wait for the download there is the home let's start with the home put calamaris and arch links iso keep as close as possible to the original arch links where we move we make us least amount of decisions and least amount of choices the package list is as it is from arch boom we follow on the percent and then we put on xfc or you put on nothing pure arch and that's the way we proceed and we see some documentation here what's going to be installed xor net or not and light yemo or sdn maybe but basically you can actually use our own installer i i made by madat i mean not installer desktop this is the alci dwm desktop so it won't conflict with the original dwm or or dusk or you know of the forks that's out there so you get this minimal desktop that's just showing calamaris click click click done then like they say it's a few screens later europe brussels fine you choose your keyboard fine not difficult not technical here the most technical bit no swap with swap what's all that if you're new to linux then you're wondering and you can also in the meantime you can choose x4 and btrfs and all that so that's technical and then the name that's still okay whether to log in with root passwords and all that and you get an overview boom and you got it it's installed a lot of videos and articles how to create a cinnamon iso how to create linux lts and with these users you right that can be you create their own spin-up their own iso and that's fun of course you learn a lot and having your own iso so a comprehensive guide to iso building this is making it gradually more and more difficult so you get into touch with how to build what's a repository signing packages yes know how to get packages on the iso and so on and so on it's all explained in these projects here carly10 and alci which is here in the meantime one second voila so i recommend you take a look at all these numbers they become more and more difficult right we start with the creation of the lci and at some point in time we said let's forget about this dwm alci let's just move into the desktop that we choose like xfce or a plasma or a cinnamon and do our way to our installation that way and that's possible too so it's great to learn more from these githubs right download all the githubs set them next to each other and you know what i'm gonna say you smelt right you smell what is different between one computer and the other one github and the other kit out all right let's have fun so lci it's downloaded choose a disk file and a download somewhere ah not that one downloads a lot of stuff in here yeah mine is also called harsh linux right because yeah we don't want to change anything so i guess it's the bigger one right this is yeah 12 13 is the 13 on monday the 13th remember the tsunami packages and the python updates are will remember and then start ctrl f and no we don't change anything so yes it says arch next because we want to stick as close as possible to the arch legs iso but instead of the black screen we want to have a nice color mars please that's alci and from there you can move on i want to have wallpapers i want icons i want to have teams and in this case right this is mate we chose mate as a reference have already the 3.2.49.1 from one a day ago it's installed it has been tested by now over 30 installations encrypted not encrypted ptrfs gf6fs x4 of course first x4 and then all the rest it works so our technical choices this can be a little bit daunting maybe for beginners and all the other choices let's take something else as usual right with hibernate no agony a bit smaller here because it's just a test anyway and then next you if you want to auto login or not so you can see in calamaris you can set all these things in our clinics we do not set it i believe it's like this so by default i could go click this now in this installer so in in the configuration wait column rs has is the application and calamaris has a configuration i keep these things separate so when there's a new update like today was yesterday or time flies by the boost and the boost lips right update then you rebuild the columnars but you don't have to rebuild the configuration that's two months old doesn't change otherwise you put them together i have to build everything in one go well choices right choices be my guest to do it otherwise then we install so no pop-up saying yes please in other clinics in the beginner installation now you have the beginner installation we have a pop-up are you sure you want to continue yes no here we just say go so we did not make any decisions regarding software we just says we we say mate mate extra which is what arch wiki says go arch wiki mate and you will find to install mate you need to install that package to install plasma you need that package get that knowledge put it in the packages in the file package says 86 64 and put it in there and voila what will the application do get all the packages from these groups because it's not one package it's gonna get it's a group package this is what we get already don't like lftp to be there but the goal is stick as close to auction links if they say it goes in there voila we don't think here we don't make any decisions it's the way austin links puts it on the list in the user share arch iso relaying folder have a look that's what we check and then copy paste basically copy paste for the rest we have to wait we are improving there we go i did go to the zst compression i think so i did it for carly i think i did it here as well so etc mk in its cpi let's have a look when we reboot if it's there or not sublime text is not there there is really nothing there is no firefox it's so cool right can't do anything with it it's still very version like installation and the look voila the look from um arch legs and off we go did i said no did i not set my keyboard correctly there oh gonna have problem with azertian um what was i thinking yeah yeah so in eric's home actually better click was computer and then file system and then etc let's make you bigger and you scroll down to the make anycpo.com so that's the one i need but i need a terminal there is no right mouse click everything needs to be set and that's not the point of the video so x term yes extern was nice i remember i was quite happy in finding this font for xterm so ls and then pseudo i hope i have nano and then make any cpu.conf yes i've got nano and i go down voila we are at zst since all hashtags are in front of it at the end and the compression part there i can do a pseudo make any cpo hey my asset is okay minus capital p and see how fast it goes boom it's done now we have a fallback here there's no fallback so it's uh it's harsh links and voila that was my test i know everything is working so shut down a shutdown and all the isos that i've put online are gonna work new calamaris python boost lips all the changes we had on monday the 13th of december have been covered he's waiting for me to do something i think and once they're shut down i don't have the patience to wait because i want to go to one more place that's here so get your knowledge here not enough keep reading go to carly see what we've put out here and maybe go to the listing right here you find all the steps we took arch iso update into november 2019 and so on and so on it's the workflow that matters at some point in time eric won't be there anymore in this globe this world so the workflow matters how do you do it how do you create this use the tools what tools are there and so on and extrapolate and find your own solution your common sense to solve issues all right enjoy the learning because that's basically why we love it so much because we like to learn more all right cheers
