[Music] a few weeks ago i made a video on hidden pokemon forms that you probably don't know about i really enjoyed the video personally and while doing research for it i actually came up with more material than i was able to fit into one video so today we're gonna be looking at even more hidden pokemon forms that you probably don't know about these are genuinely really interesting and cool so without further ado let's get into it our first pokemon of the video is wheezing wheezing has been around since the beginning but there is a form of it out there that still to this day we have not seen and that is a three-headed version of the pokemon in weezing's diamond pearl platinum black and white dex entries it states that it grows by feeding on gases released by garbage though very rare triplets have been found due to the pokedex also mentioning that wheezing is basically two coughing that are conjoined together there are apparently some out there where three have been conjoined together and have three heads instead of two unfortunately though this wheezing form has not made an official appearance to this point one of the newest pokemon currently is aplin a pokemon based on the classic image of a worm inside of an apple while aplin is never seen in the games outside of its apple that form which is zaplin's true appearance does actually exist as a model of it was found within the data of pokemon sword and shield since this form is never used it's interesting to think about if it was made just for the sake of being thorough or if it was intended to appear in the games at one point did you also know that some pokemon actually have multiple shiny forms in pokemon colosseum and xd gal of darkness some pokemons such as diglett for example have shiny forms that are completely different to what they are in the main series games it's unknown why this is the case but as mentioned this occurs with several pokemon in the games it is possible it's due to nothing more than an error made in development when coloring the shinies but regardless it makes for a good piece of trivia nowadays there are even more exotically colored pokemon in the console games however as in pokemon stadium the color of a pokemon will actually change slightly depending on whether or not the pokemon has a nickname and what that nickname is and these also create pokemon with colorations that are different than their shiny forms the color changes are also pretty subtle so they can be easy to miss if you're not paying close attention in addition to the games the anime is also a pretty rich source of unique pokemon forms and quite possibly the best one of them all is a whooper with a heart shape on its chest this whopper appeared in the episode no big whoop which is from the jodo journey's arc and is easily one of the most wholesome things to ever exist whooper on its own is already pretty great but heart-shaped whooper is a treasure for sure another form difference in the anime that is actually pretty cool and could have translated to the games but has never appeared to this point occurs in dwell shown in a couple of episodes of the anime including a home for dwell and battling for the love of bug types dwell in the anime have shells that differ in size shape and color based on the individual which makes sense considering dwell or crab like pokemon that search out for rocks to use as shells individually it's even mentioned that these different shells affect their battling capabilities which could have translated well into the games and made dwell way more interesting than it admittedly is it probably wasn't a very realistic option for the games but it's still pretty cool to see in the anime anyway going back to the games our next entry is shellos and gastrodon now these pokemon of course already have two forms that we are well aware of in the east sea and west sea variations however according to the pokedex there are other forms out there in other regions that we have never seen before chelsea's diamond dex entry states that its colors and shapes differ from region to region in the sino region two types are confirmed this dex entry is very specific as it not only says that shellos's forms are different based on the region it's found in but it also specifically cites the east and west sea forms as sinnoh-based forms implying that other forms of shallows can be found in other regions that are different than the ones we know sadly this is not really translated into the games themselves though as we have been to several new regions since cinna was a new thing but have only ever seen the west and east sea forms i think this would be an amazing thing to incorporate into chelsea's design from a gameplay perspective so hopefully this secret aspect of this pokemon will be properly utilized and revealed someday another related pokemon in this category is corefish and crawdant it's long been known that corefish is not actually from hoenn where it was introduced which is stated in the pokedex but ever since regional variants became a thing it's become possible that the corefish and crawdant we know are not even the true form of the pokemon and instead are regional variants this is essentially confirmed in crawdon's design as it has adapted to resemble sharpedo another hoenn pokemon so ultimately another form of these two pokemon are definitely out there somewhere in the wide world of pokemon that we have yet to be introduced to and i can only hope that we will get to see this intriguing set of pokemon someday in the first video on this topic that i did a couple weeks ago we covered a few pokemon from the manga and i've got another one to share today this is more of a unique pick and not really a true alternate form but it's certainly worth a spot in the video the pokemon vivian was introduced in pokemon x and y in 2013 with its main draw being that it has many different forms with its wing patterns differing depending on where it was caught well a pokemon with that exact concept more or less was shown on the title page of the very first chapter of the pokemon pocket monsters manga three butterfly pokemon can be seen here that aren't seen anywhere else in the franchise these pokemon appear to be of the same species but with each one having a different pattern on its wings just like vivien practically making these guys unofficial predecessors of the kalos pokemon we'll never know if these two have any kind of special behind the scenes connection or not but it's certainly interesting to think about one hidden pokemon form that has appeared in multiple other parts of the franchise but not the main series to this point is golurk's canon mode golurk has a secret form called cannon mode where it reforms its body in the shape of a cannon originally only appearing in poke park 2 wonders beyond on the wii it recently made its anime debut in an episode of pokemon journeys which begs the question of whether or not this form will ever make its way to the main series games as well considering it is the main series and it's been seen multiple other places it only makes sense to introduce it in my opinion but i guess we'll just have to wait and see another univ pokemon with a hidden form who was actually designed by the same guy that made golurk james turner is the vanillux family the true form of vanillix's family is never seen in the games because it's actually underneath all the snow that covers their head and face this form for vanillite has been showcased in the manga and have also been highlighted in tweets by their designer himself james turner although it's one of the more subtle alternate forms on this list it's certainly still as interesting as any other returning to the anime one more time we have some alternate forms of smeargle in the episode the art of pokemon smeargle with multiple different colors of tales are seen including one with a blue tail that is never seen in the games ironically the red-tailed smeargle that is seen here while also being unique at the time of this episode's debut actually ended up becoming its shiny form when its shiny form was changed in generation 3 to its regular form and then was given a new shiny the episode mentions however that smeargle's tell color can change depending on its mood so it's possible that there are even more color variants of smeargle out there even past the ones we see here so there you have it did you know of any of these hidden forms before and are there any others you know of that i didn't mention let me know in the comments below and subscribe if you haven't already for more pokemon content you can also support the channel further by listening
