Apple VisionPro WATERFIELD case

hey there guys I'm borenson and today I have a quick video about storage options not from Apple for an apple Vision Pro I have a couple of options for you and some cooler than others first of all when I went to the store and I saw this blimp that apple is selling for the official apple storage case it's not that long I'm ex saturating it's more like this long maybe it's big I immediately decided to use a camera sleeve and Camera sleeve is basically you have a camera you have a highly paded it's very firm reasonably firm and it's very fluffy and soft on the inside and put this down there don't have to worry about so that is where my Apple Vision Pro lives it's inside here and I drop the battery down in front and there you have it you can see it right in there and you can kind of see so I just kind of grab it and it comes out just like that and it's ready to pop on my head and be used so that is my camera sleeve these by the way was made by Crumpler I think it's an Australian company and you can find them on eBay but unfortunately they stopped making that particular sleeve I like them I have them in assorted colors now the problem of storing this is mostly that there is a pretty delicate front glass I've even heard there is cracking front glasses thankfully mine is not now when I got my quest Pro I modified the case see if I can open it can't find where the sipper goes on this so I modified my case because it had the internals and I did and I wanted to store stuff here but I didn't want it to slide into the lenses of the pro and of course this case here with that quick modific ification now you have storage space right here whatever you throw right there is not going to slide into the lenses and that was really my main concern so you know you can just throw stuff right in here and it's not going to get into the lenses these things are dirt cheap because I think this is a Quest 2 native storage case and there's obviously plenty space and it's smaller than the apple one and it has a carry handle and can probably be had for like 20 bucks these days okay so what I did here was that's what I did for the quest Pro I literally caught a piece of corrugated plastic right there it has like an arch to it and it goes down on the side so that the entire visor has plastic behind it to protect it done with that all right so and this is obviously my usual sleeve but then I got this today and it's going to be little fancy or I need a screwdriver screwdriver see if we can get this it's not going to well okay come on guys you know these boxes should have like a zipper like apple does there we go okay so what do we got empty box plastic bags oh and there is an invo in the cardboard box there and here you go so that is what is that called Waterfield made in San Francisco and I hope this exposure is bright enough that you can see it I'm going to try to keep this where the camera is sharp so how does this open I love this this is I ordered the weathered canvas with the chocolate leather on top okay there's storage space here you can probably put some cables in business cards what do I know um let's see and I guess I almost regret that I didn't order the shoulder strap but I have a ton of assorted shoulder straps from camera straps so maybe I don't regret okay nice let's TR to make some space here and two of the accessor as you can tell I have actually not taken the paper off the Apple Vision charger or unpacked the cable yet because my life is full of significantly more potent and heavier USBC Chargers so and USBC batteries so we have a lot of ways to charge this stuff but this is of course what travels with it and this here so so here you have it can you see that let me lift a little bit right there and so the headset comes in like this now what was not immediately evident to me is but they do say that and to take off the straps there this is I picked this up because it's the most compact shipping option like or travel transport option I could find so it fits right in here I love how the texture of the headset plays against the texture of this weather canvas now it has like a PLU it doesn't open Oh I thought it was velcro it is not velcro there's a pluck here ah look at that I thought it was for a cable but now that I think about it you have a couple of pockets right here that is of course if you have additional add-on lenses so if you're two people I have the size lenses but I do not take them on and off they just stay on so in here we're going to throw that and that close it up and then that goes down here sorry I did not sa it but that would go down and because it fits like this you don't have to worry about this crashing into that now this one here could conceivably go in right here I think my hands covering everything you want to see and I'm sorry so the battery fits in right here slides in like that and now I brought this is a 2500 milliamp hour sendur battery and guess what oh yeah oh yeah I was just going to say let's do the sendor battery test and it will probably fail but it did not so we are actually able to fit the cend door the charger the native charger and a cable into there and oh I forgot something my knit strap I actually like this strap a lot I'm going to put it down behind the accessory case there don't I look Dandy and fashionable with such a lovely little case so there you have it the Waterfield Apple VIs Pro I think Shield case it's called it probably has something to do with the TV show Shield or something it's said to be a waterproof zipper but the thing is I can actually see normally on a proper waterproof zipper it would be jammed all the way together this seal and it seems a little bit loose I still think it is considered waterproof and this is definitely very protective I would have no problem throwing this in the back of the back seat or pickup truck or more importantly I would throw it in the bottom of a backpack happily um unfortunately have to open on a flight for work in day two so we'll try this okay so off it comes again I did not put anything in the top I have the battery right here coming out like that and the accessory thing I did not separate and you should separate do not use it like this because if something comes out it will get loose you want to use it zippered up like the PLU so it's supposed to be separate like this now it's separed and whatever is in here is never going to get in contact with the internal lenses of your Vision Pro The Vision Pro itself and for some reason I keep liking to have the adjustment thing on the right side somebody was telling me you're probably going to to wear out the attachment thing I really don't think so because the pressure goes this way and it's just like literally a little compressible thing on the back side so there you have it this is my new storage case for the backpack I'm probably still going to be favoring a camera sleeve just because it is let's look at the thickness here as you can see it is yet f in the camera sleeve right here so for compactness but if we forget about the compactness I'm really happy with this there comes in here goes in there oops I put it upside down nobody noticed this comes in here the pluck goes in here and this close up this I never actually saw this material I only saw some early pictures when this was being offered in ballistic nylon and I got to tell you the craftsmanship of this I got lucky this is better than I had hoped it was going to be wow it is fairly expensive it's $180 but considering we trying about $4,000 inside I suppose it's not that expensive still this is nice this is really nice I don't think the camera is going to do it justice because it's late we could have some more light in the room and I just wanted to do this before I head off and work tomorrow so there you have it the Waterfield storage case for the Apple Vision Pro thank you for watching if you watch this far
