the Apple Vision Pro has already completely changed the way that I work on a daily basis and in this video you're going to see how the Apple Vision Pro has helped me become more productive and also less distracted but not everything is good because there's definitely some bad as well but we're going to talk about all of that in this video and I'm also going to answer the question of whether or not I plan to use this longterm and also if it could possibly get rid of one of my studio displays back there because I do currently have a dual display setup but now I'm kind of rethinking that so one of the very first things I do when I wake up in the morning is I put my Vision Pro on for about 20 minutes and what I'm doing here is I'm checking my email and my to-do list so I like to get a good idea of what the day entails and I find that I'm less distracted and I'm less likely to put this off if I do it on the Vision Pro headset as opposed to my phone where I usually get distracted with social media and other things and I end up not even even checking my to-do list so after about 20 minutes I go ahead and get ready for the day I also eat my breakfast and have my liquid IV and now I'm ready to go ahead and get the workday started okay so I'm going to get my workflow set up for today so what I like to do is I like to have Fantastical as my calendar I like to pull this over and I like to have the week view set up and I like to pull this over here to my left I'm going to go ahead and go fully immersive so we can see everything in its full quality so we're going to add that there and then I like to have a WID for the time because it's really hard to see the time unless you go into the control center and it shows it up top but it's easy to get lost in terms of time it's easy to let a lot of time pass you by unless you actually add a widget so we'll add this one and we'll put this up top of the calendar and I get a lot of my news from Twitter or X so we're going to go ahead and open up an X window and we're going to put that over here to the left and now I'm going to set up my email so we have the right inbox selected we're going to make this small so we see anything important that comes in we could have that over there right underneath of of X and then Square in the center is going to be our main work which is actually going to be in Safari and we're going to go to our Google Docs which is where I do all of my video outlines so here is my outline for the Apple Vision Pro review and you can see it's very easy to type in here as well so if I go ahead and click on one of these since I do have my magic keyboard connected I like to go out of the fully immersive mode just a little bit just so I can still see my keyboard in front of me but what's nice is that when you start typing you will see a little keyboard appear here over this and it'll actually show you what you're typing if you are fully immersed like if I go into another window you can see it's showing what I'm typing on the keyboard on that little mini keyboard there and sometimes the keyboard will just glitch out and it'll come up here which is fine sometimes I'll just pull it close to me that way I can tap on things you know and easily select as if it were an actual physical object in front of me you can use it just like you use an iPhone or an iPad you can do that with any window as well like if I move this Safari window close to me for example and I click right here I didn't even need a pinch but if I just click or if I scroll it turns into like a big iPad just in space and one thing I need when I'm working is some type of music so we're going to go ahead and load up the music application so we're just going to tap on the album artwork right there and it's going to create a mini player and we're going to look to the right make that as small as we can and we're going to put that over here now we're going to go ahead and get back to work on this script now I'm also okay so what we just learned is that you want to be aware of everything that's in front of you if you're in a fully immersed mode because you can't see in front of you and especially do not have a glass full of drink in front of you or anywhere around you when you are fully immersed in The Vision Pro that is a danger so this workday took a turn so we're going to have to reconnect our keyboard to our computer because I think that software might be getting ready to be released so I'll need to be out of the headset in order to record on this camera and there it is 17.4 beta 2 has just been released okay so we're going to write the script for this 17.4 beta 2 video with the Vision Pro all right so we finished up our video now it's time for some launch it's actually pretty late it might be time for some lunch SL dinner so we're going to head downstairs we're going to walk right through these windows it's kind of trippy oh it looks nice outside I wonder what the weather's like Siri open carrot oh it's only 60° Siri open reminders looks like we need some new yogurt so let's go and type in yogurt we're going to add that to our list luckily I got a Chick-fil-A Sandwich yesterday so that's going to be my lunch we just need to heat it up Siri set timer for 5 minutes okay so to be honest after I edited that last video and I ate lunch I had to clean up more of that drink that spilt here in my office and it kind of just threw me off so we're going to continue picking back up it's 10: p.m. now so it's quite a bit later in the day but I plan to work late into of the night tonight to kind of make up for the lost time man I really don't know how people say they cannot wear this headset for more than like a couple of hours I can easily wear this for like five or 6 hours and have no complaints and I think it's because I wear the headset a lot looser than most people because I think a lot of people think you need to have it really strapped to your face and really tight on there but you really don't like mine is pretty loose and I've had no issues with eye tracking or anything like that so what I love is being able to have Vision Pro Windows opened at the same time as having my mirrored Mac screen right here it's almost like having you know just multiple monitors and multiple different computers all in one it's pretty awesome because if you don't want to take up all of your memory you know you don't want to take up all of your resources on let's say a Mac you could just pull up those apps that you would normally have on your Mac on the Vision Pro where I'm talking about things like you know Twitter or web browsing and things like that that could up eat up some of your CPU it's nice to be able to have those on the Vision Pro and not strain the CPU of your computer if you are mirroring Ing and editing video like I am and here's another great thing about the ecosystem I didn't have to go to my iPhone to be able to airdrop a photo or a video to my Mac Studio all that is right here in the cloud and iCloud on my Vision Pro so I was able to take that screen recording from The Vision Pro and air drop it to my Mac and it shows up right here and one downside I'm noticing right away is with the Audio I cannot get the audio to go to the headset so if I wanted to hear the audio in my ears I would need to put on a pair of airpods and we all know what happened with airpods Max earlier they're cursed so I'm not doing that I'll just settle for hearing it from a distance from my studio [Music] display now easily the biggest con and the most restrictive aspect of the Mac virtual display is that you can only have one display up at a time so if I wanted to load up up Photoshop for example and have Final Cut Pro you know in my same view normally with my two monitor setup I can see that you know both at the same time but you can only mirror one screen at a time which is pretty annoying especially since I have you know an M1 Ultra Max studio a more than capable machine but yet I can only have one display so if you're somebody who does do a lot of multitasking and you absolutely need to have you know multiple windows opened up at a time on your computer and you're used to a dual display setup you're either going to have to make those windows really small like this you know just make both windows small and work together on One display which you don't really get more real estate despite the screen being bigger so if I make this Photoshop you know a little bit smaller and I make this whole screen bigger in The Vision Pro it doesn't give me more real estate on my desktop because it's just mirroring the display so I can see this being a big downside for those who need multiple windows for applications that are only on the Mac which this this is the you know kind of the Saving Grace of this limitation is that a lot of the applications you have on your Mac you can pull up on the Vision Pro and you don't you can have multiple windows like if I go into my app store for example and let's say I needed to have the files app open and I need to have that open at the same time as my editing here in Final Cut I can do that I can have both of those there but it's because this is a Apple Vision Pro application and this is just a mirror of the Mac so again this is a limitation but I really only see it impacting those who have applications that can only run on the Mac and not also on the Vision Pro okay so we only have about 30 minutes left in the workday but I think I found my perfect setup for productivity so I have my Mac mirrored to the Apple Vision Pro right here so I can load up my Final Cut Pro my Photoshop if I'm a coder I would have xcode pulled up whatever I want right there and then to the right we have mail so I can see if any important emails come in and then we have Twitter or X we can and just you know monitor any type of breaking news we have notion to keep up with our to-dos and make sure we're on track we have slack to communicate with our team and then on the left hand side we have our month view of the calendar and we also have a little widget that shows our battery percentage our date and time and also are now playing Allin One widget and this to me is my ideal setup right now and the reason I love this so much is because you can't really have this on a single or even a dual display setup up without it looking really cluttered and these are close to me right now but I can move these further away I just wanted these to be closer to me so you guys could see them in better quality but this to me is awesome and I have been so much more productive today than I have been in a long time you know when I'm not using the headset so that really tells me something about the Vision Pro so now it's finally time to unwind and get ready for bed and I brought my MacBook Pro to bed here just because I wanted to show you the little connect button that we have right there which makes makes it really easy to mirror your screen to the Apple Vision Pro unlike the desktop Max where you have to go into the control center and you have a few additional steps but from here you have the connect and you can just simply pinch on the connect button and it will connect and mirror your screen to The Vision Pro and you get a nice big display for your MacBook screen we're watching a movie at night in Yos it does not get much more peaceful and relaxing than this good night so all in all the Apple Vision Pro is an incredible productivity tool like the more I use this the more I fall in love with it and the more I just really think that I don't need everything that I currently have and I've pretty much already decided that I will be getting rid of one of those Studio displays I do not need a dual display setup anymore now that I have the Apple Vision Pro because like I mentioned earlier in the video I can fit more apps and I can do more on a single Vision Pro than I can with two Studio display so really what's the point of a dual display setup I only need one display because I can mirror that display you know to the vision OS software to Apple Vision Pro and then use apple Vision Pro apps alongside that Mac display and I think that is going to be the ideal workflow at least for me and I also love how if you mirror your Mac screen to the Apple Vision Pro whether that's a Macbook a Mac Studio an iMac whatever you can go to a different room and you can still drag that screen along with you you don't have to be in the same room as that Mac and that allows for just great flexibility overall and when it comes to video editing I mean I was editing on Final Cut Pro for hours I mean this is not the first day I've edited on Final Cut Pro with the Vision Pro I've done several hours of video editing and it feels exactly the same as editing on my Mac Studio hooked up to my studio display I mean the quality sure it's probably not quite as good but you don't really notice it I mean the quality is just fine I never want thought oh I wish it was better quality and there's also no lag you know I'm using my keyboard I'm using my mouse everything works exactly the same as it does on your computer and once again the ecosystem is what really Shines on the Apple Vision Pro every single day you're doing ecosystem things like airdrop you know your Safari password autofill the iMessage FaceTime all that stuff is just so convenient on the Apple Vision Pro being able to airdrop to your Mac which is mirrored to your Apple Vision Pro you know while you're connected to your airpods max like all that is just another level of ecosystem and just the reason that Apple gets it right with every product they release because you need other products as an extension and it just makes your whole workflow just work together seamlessly and I think the Apple Vision Pro is kind of like the the icing on top of the ecosystem for me like it was already great but this just makes everything so much better so all in all I would highly recommend the Apple Vision Pro if you are somebody who is into productivity especially if you're somebody who's thought about purchasing a studio display or especially a pro display xdr if you're thinking about buying a pro display xdr or a multi thousand display trust me buy an Apple Vision Pro first at least try it out because I think you might like this even better but even if you're not somebody who is looking for you know a multi thousand display if you're somebody who has a Macbook and you're always on the go and you work from your computer and you make money from your computer I think an apple Vision Pro is a wise investment and I think that this will help you make that money back quicker so this is by no means my full review of the Apple Vision Pro that is still coming I just wanted to share a video on an actual workday working with the Apple Vision Pro like it's currently you know past 300 a.m. and I've been working on this thing non-stop all day pretty much everything I've done for this video was done through the lens of the Apple Vision Pro so if you enjoyed this video let me know with a thumbs up on the video and also leave a comment down below if you enjoyed it or if you want to see something else let me know what you want to see from the Apple Vision Pro I will be making more videos on it and of course I do have that full review coming so make sure you are subscribed to the channel so you don't miss out but anyways guys thanks again for watching and I'll see you soon
