praise be jesus christ many people are speaking about the alleged apparitions of the blessed virgin mary that happened in 1987 in the ukraine now i want to share a bit about these apparitions i have a few sources but my primary source is this newly released book by sophia press called the world of marian apparitions it covers the apparitions of the blessed virgin mary over the last hundred years now before i share about the 1987 apparitions in russia earlier in 1914 two weeks before world war one the blessed virgin mary allegedly appeared to 22 people working in the field and she said there will be a war russia will become a godless country and ukraine as a nation will suffer terribly for 80 years and will live through the world wars but it will be free afterward and it goes on to say her predictions came to pass after decades of diabolical slavery to the notorious kgb ukraine became an independent democratic state on august 24 1991 so that prophecy was very much fulfilled and that's part of the reason we take these 1987 apparitions so seriously so what happened in russia in 1987 it says here in 1987 a small wooden orthodox church closed for many years by the communist authorities suddenly started to emit a brilliant glow goes on to say for three weeks it was inexplicably surrounded by a silver aura the light shone 200 yards high in it the miraculous madonna from the kiev icon appeared and i'll do a video on the keeve icon hopefully in the next couple of days the first witness of this unusual phenomena was a 12 year old girl named marina now what's important to know is that she appeared on april 27 1987 that's exactly a year after the chernobyl disaster it says she came on the feast of the ascension exactly one year after the nuclear reactor disaster at chernobyl saying do not forget those who have died chernobyl is a reminder and a sign for the whole world that's kind of scary but anyways let me go on it says here every day this is this is in 1987 in russia every day about 70 000 people arrived the militia and the kgb tried without success to regain control of this place it became difficult for the soldiers to remain at their posts given that they themselves were witnessing the supernatural event having received the grace of participation in marian apparitions they weren't able to ruthlessly disperse the crowds as they were ordered to do or to handcuff and punish the most zealous participants to make examples of them and so even the kgb soldiers in the ukraine while the crowds were coming to witness the apparitions of the blessed virgin mary which happened for over four months they began on april 27 1987 and ended august 15 1987 and they say around half a million people witness these apparitions okay i want to share with you just some of the messages that are recorded in this book from our blessed mother the the alleged messages our lady allegedly said she called ukraine her daughter ukraine my daughter i pray for you for your children for your future there will come a time when your people so in love with god will gain independence and become a salvation for those who keep their faith in jesus christ and we know that independence came in 1991 and it also shows us that our blessed mother has a special love for the people of the ukraine and she's she's watching over them we believe even in these very difficult times and then it says referencing to ukraine's powerful neighbor mary said pray for russia russia will only convert when all christians will pray for it yet she was not content to criticize only the communists she also said both east and west are evil the difference is that the godlessness of the west has not been officially announced so brothers and sisters let's pray for peace in the world let's pray for the conversion of russia the people of ukraine a scripture for you today from today's mass readings saint peter says be holy yourselves in all your conduct for it is written you shall be holy for i am holy viva christopher
